Just picked up a delta trooper from goodwill today. And I must say it has the smoothest slam fire ever. I was spamming out foam so fast, I actually thought I smelled the darts burning under friction. Turns out my wife was drying my socks and I smelled my socks and not darts. The Delta Trooper has a very nice prime and I dig it the most. Cheers Walcoms7 you’re a legend mate.
Slender Man 186 mostly cuz the alphatrooper basically has strongarm internals, cant take a big springload. On something like a retaliator you can kinda just shlap a 14kg spring with a couple of 3rd party components and your good.

This first lock you removed was actually necesary, because it looks priming slide when its ready to fire so you don't need to hold it and you can fire it with one hand when primed. Without this lock when you prime and push slide forward and leave it, the slide goes backwards instaed of the blaster fireing when you pull the trigger.
Original shell looks good but the barrels seem to clash with the sleekness of it. Also, I wish people would comparing you with other YT nerfers. You are your own unique YT nerfer providing YOUR own unique opinion and twist on the community just like every other YT nerfer. Keep being original and bringing in a different perspective on the hobby!
Shouldn't you be able to move the bars back a bit on the pumpgrip itself? Where it's fixed with 3 screws, only use the rear two screws. Should give you another half inch or something.
It's not because the prime is longer, but because the front of the blaster is much longer than the retaliator, pushing the SGG further away from the boltsled. That should have been obvious just looking at the blaster.
The reason the FPS with the accufakes is probably because you didn't take the AR out as I have noticed if the spring is to heavy and the AR is still there it decreases in FPS from stock
Something must be interfering on yours. I put a worker 7kg spring in mine, and did nothing else other than removing the prime locks & putting on the included rubber bumper around its plunger. I also cleaned and lubed everything, but that's it. Kept the air restrictor. I don't have a way to chrono it, but distance wise it shoots almost twice as far so its gotta be above 100fps at the barrel. Maybe I had a weak spring to begin with, but it was already shooting farther than my Retaliator and multiple flywheel blasters, so I've gotta imagine stock it was shooting as it should. Getting at that hidden screw was a bitch. Had to remove the priming handles by taking off the inner screws.
Looks like an HvZ blaster only. The work required to make it NIC ready would be too much to be worth it. It wouldn't be impossible, but for the money, you'd be better off doing a Retaliator, Prophecy-R, or a Longshot.
Hear me out. Could you take the six screws out of the pump arm and move the grip rail forward one screw slot (only using four screws) and the barrel for the honey badger kit work? I've been researching and from what I see its may be possible
Bro it’s definitely not a waste of time! You got to show the community the mod potential and all the while did something that you truly love to do. So I’d say a win win. I personally love the delta trooper as well and not sure why Drac was being so critical of it. I think he’s become a little more used to the upper echelon blasters and has lost his feel for the plainer ones. Who’s to say maybe he had his reasons. I love his videos and his mods but I have seen that he has become increasingly critical of the blasters he doesn’t like versus the ones his fans may like. If that makes sense. I know it’s pretty much his personal preference but I don’t think he gave this blaster enough air time and consideration as he does most others. Cartaya is the same but damn does he make some really sick mods! He’s genius when it comes to modding. He needs to make his own original blaster. I’d love to see every nerf channel maker have their own in the future. It seems we’re coming a lot closer to that here in the near future though! Then, we get into muscle power, and does one really want to compress pounds of force over and over when one could simply push one or two buttons for similar effect? Definitely arguable. I just tend to veiw the mod process of a Flywheeler more enjoyable, both journey and destination. Realistically, if one were on the path to supercede flywheel performance potential in this day and age, you'd be into NIC homemade springer, pump air or haych-pee-eh, or nothing-stock-but-the-shell Longshot territ'ry. If we're comparing net input to net gain, that is. Definitely doesn't consider the person modifying a particular blaster just for the foam of it. Let me know if you want to sell the DT attachments ;)
I just got my delta trooper. there was NO hidden screw. the slot was there, i pried apart the priming handle, inserted a driver, couldn feel the screw.... and the shell split apart. no screw. well i put it back together and it works fine without the hidden screw, so its not essential. in any case, i got in a worker plunger (older version black one) and a worker 5k spring and stronger catch spring, and yeah it fires like a retal with a 5k spring. i'm using it as a mag-fed springer pistol without the attachments, coz i've got two other rifle-style springers already and i wanted something that gives me more mobility for when i feel like it. at 5k performance, its a gem. more comfortable priming than a retal or recon with top prime, but the grip is noticeably less comfy.
Can you put a retaliator boltsled in the delta trooper? I just bought a worker aluminum boltsled and expanded plunger tube, and I would love to add these into the delta trooper with a brass breech, and longstrike barrel with a pump grip
And did you just mention this blaster and NIC together? Seriously? I doubt you can even fit an expanded plunger tube in there, with all the additional mechanisms and slam fire bars and what not.
Lol you're done with the whole thing in like ten minutes while my dad and I, three hours in, are still wondering why the spring we ordered is too large to fit through the back, even though even the receipt said we ordered the correct spring.
the delta trooper .... a reshell of the tri-strike ....except that the trigger is separated from the magazine by the pacific ocean on the tri-strike (like on the regulator, besides) .... whitch is not a very good thing, in my opinion. a good point for the delta ...
you're probably at the limit then. once you get into the heavier spring loads, it still primes but you can feel it bend. i can imagine with a super strong spring it might snap.
@@captsomeguy1 I built it already, broke it, and got another one. The kit i believe it just for a retaliator bit it definitely works. Major shell modding/reinforcement needed for heavy spring upgrades. Found if you leave just the slide lock in it runs much smoother.

I found this out as well. Had to an upgrade the spring in said part in Order to get full potential out of a 12kg spring and sealed breech

well using a retaliator barrel just made it easier to put rails on, just use those that slide over the nerf rails

Now all that's left to be is to replace the grip (3d print or maverick idk) if you want to. It just looks as it feels; a slightly disappointing meh.

it's actually superior. the priming rod on the pump of the alpha trooper bends under the same spring load stiff metal bars will not bend.

What spring load? I'm using a 7kg spring in a Alpha Trooper with no rod bending. Much more than that and the priming is too stiff to be comfortable.
