      Hi Tiffany, this is still a very simplified explanation of core stability, as it is actually a neurological re-programing process. If you want further more in-depth instruction on my understanding of core stability and how to re-activate it you can access these videos in my Back Pain bootcamp. www.cobylangford.com/backpainbootcamp I hope this helps. Warmest wishes, Coby

    Very comprehensive and insightful training video. Probably I won't need a lumbar support belt anymore. Just need to wake those lumbar bracing muscles and unleash the hip power.
    I'm truly grateful and humbled for sharing such a life changing video. .

    Since I have been training my core properly my back pain has been improving so much. It’s funny bc when they showed the other muscles that come in place of ur core - those are exactly where I get cramping and pain when I walk. Front of my thighs and front of my abs. Since childbirth I’ve had so many problems with corset and pelvic floor muscles and caused a lot of medical problems but I have been learning properly and sticking to it and those improved so much. If Uve had baby and suffer from back pain and bulge that never goes away in years - search diastasis rectis. This exercise here is perfect for fixing diastasis rectis. Even over weight ppl with stomach expansion can do the same. They can also have diastasis rectis. I’m just happy to fix my issues

    It is super illustrative and helpful in identifying what the core muscles are and where they are. :) Thank you!
    A question for this is that: when contracting and lifting my pelvic floor, I have a feeling of a urinary leak. Such a feeling is a real hassle for me. Anything wrong? Any suggestion?

    hi , ive suffered chronic low back pain for 2+ years and 1 year ago had a bad stir up ( disc protrusion L5/s1) impinging on s1 nerve root.
    I can feel that my entire deep core is very unstable which probably instigated the injury.
    When i place my fingers on my multifidus it appears my Left side is much more active and quicker to turn on then my right side.
    How do i build the right side multifidus and/or make it more efficient at turning on? I need to get rid of this back pain for good!

    • @SootheClinic
      @SootheClinic  6 років тому +3

      Hi Harry, I understand your frustration. Your mutifidus is probably not firing at all - it is the erector spinae you can feel. The only way I know to truly activate multifidus is by putting yourself through a muscle re-balancing program. I have created the Soothe Method for this exact purpose. It’s a 6 week program - with the ultimate goal of re-activating mutifidus correctly. There are no short cuts to this process. It takes time. Especially after a disc bulge. The program will re-balance you back muscles and stabilise your back. If your disc bulge is actively giving you leg pain, you need to wait for the leg pain to go before starting. Hope this helps, warmest wishes, Coby (you can access the program here;

    Can't you just do Stomach Vacuums

      I keep asking that but it seems it only activates abdominus Erectus and obliques from what I can tell.
      But it worked for old school body builders it seems.

      That's the $1M question.
      I think it's pinning all that spin and gh along with all the food required to feed all the supplemented gains.
