hi, do you know why it won’t let me both inflate the text and add the 3d materials? the error message is: “applying another instance of this effect is not currently supported.” i have illustrator 2023 so i don’t know why it’s saying this.
Adobe is discontinuing the 3d tool, it's a shame that they don't give it continuity, same situation photoshop and illustrator

Super nice , one issue I have is the bounding box cuts off the shadows creating a hard line. How do I enlarge the bounding box to allow the shadows to extend ? thank you

TYSM! Totally worked. Also I noticed I need to enable real time preview before exporting. I was not and the exports were dull, jagged shadow edges, and cut off by the bounding box. Once enabled, all was solved and looked sweet. @@PANTERvision

Yes the older version of Illustrator doesn't have this settings, try to update it to the latest Ai

You can import the Ai file in Ae but it will ruin the 3D effect if you create a shape layer out of it. If you want to retain the fully editable 3D format, you need to export from Ai in OBJ format. Open up Cinema4D in After Effects and there you can import the OBJ file in Cinema4D that will be present in Ae as well.
WHY illustrator is rendering always when i drag my infiltrated logo on the artbaord.. i have a m2 macbook and sometimes it crashes.. also the quality is not good when i zoom in.. why?

Edit: I found out how to do it! There’s a tutorial for it the one with the pink W! It’s unfortunately way harder now to do shadows.
Everytime I make the shadow it’s huge and not just around the object like yours! How do I fix this
You have the text on a tiny size and the shadows are big, the bigger the text size the smaller the shadows
