Struncheon Lock Fish Pass River Hull

The sluice gate is the only barrier to fish migration on the River Hull. It directs the flow of water through the fish pass, a boat lock and a hydro turbine which is away from the river.
The fish pass was built in 2019 and is about 3ft high. It is a pool and weir type fish pass with 3 stages and it is suitable for all species of fish.
The River Hull has been straightened from its natural form and it is similar in appearance to a canal with lots of boats. There is also a lock here for the boats to get past the sluice gate.
