I saw Jacob last Thursday in Detroit and I was on the edge of my seat the entire show, he’s such a kid and I love seeing him be so enthusiastic and down to earth, I can’t wait to see him again someday
I’m middle aged guy who only discovered Jacob last summer so can relate to the blown mind. I went to his pre show when he came to Toronto and am kicking myself for not thinking of a question to ask him! Been utterly obsessed with him (in a non-stalkery way) since the first time I heard him.
Thanks so much for sharing this piece of meet and greet. I was at the show too and wish I'd done the meet and greet. He's reminded me of my love for music. What a fabulous creator.
You can do something very similar with a program called "Nectar 3", a simple microphone, and a "bog standard" midi controller (~$250 for something with 49 keys I think?). It's not quite the same, especially because it doesn't have the sliding/pitch bend capabilities, but it is very fun. There's probably a better program these days, but I haven't looked into it for years. I hope They release a software version of Jacob's harmonizer someday soon.
I was there but I didn't know this was going to happen! Did you have any kind of special ticket? I have a specific question to ask on polyrhythm multipliers.
Yes, I bought an upgrade that included sound check, and meet and greet. We didn’t see the sound check (although we heard it loud and clear when we were in line outside), the meet and greet was well worth the reasonable amount of extra $.
@@tabor503 it was right after his sound check and before the opening act…so before the show. I think it was an extra $150 or thereabouts for each ticket. After all was said and done, I consider that a bargain….especially since this also got us from row spots for the show. I was literally 10 feet from him and his piano. It was an unforgettable experience. :-)
No it was after the sound check and before the opening act came out. The meet and greet was available as an extra upgrade. Well worth it for this experience!

Smiling with such sweet, honest interactions. Surely, exhausted after performance, yet Jacob's, exhilaration, candor, and generosity prevail.

Quick question…..he is wearing a hat I gave him in San Francisco. Did you notice it?
What a great demonstration of the harmonizer

Thanks for sharing Darren. Isn't Jacob so utterly wonderful x
He sure is!

That was a great question, thanks for asking!
Saw Jacob in DC in May. Such a gifted and lovely human being. His energy is infectious and positive.
Thank you so much for sharing. He's such a kind and wonderful human. 🙏
nice extra insights on the harmonizer, thanks!
Thanks for posting this
5:08 It never occurred to me that there would be a *technical* reason why he doesn't usually do that.

Uhm, Jacob would totally kill it in EDM music lol

@@DarrenLoPrinziwas it after the concert? How much did it cost extra?

He has such an interesting vocabulary
I have a question, is it possible to take a picture with jacob if you have the meet & greet package?
He did this after the show ended if you stayed behind?

What an imagination!
Never enjoyed his music. His music is like listening to someone with OCD adding numbers really fast.
