Thanks So I do have an MPC Live 2, I feel like Sampling on the Push 3 is much more straight forward and easy to get right to it. Drum programming is easy on the Push 3 but I prefer programming drums on the MPC because I have access to the piano roll and I’m able to copy n paste notes from one track to another like for 808’s and stuff. I can do that on the Push 3 but it requires me to have to program my kicks on a separate track and copy the data that way. But other than that they are both great! So just for making beats the Push 3 is great, with future updates and tweaks I think it may be able to hold its own against the MPC workflow. However I feel like the MPC has way more plugins and effects that I wish I had access to on the push. Hope this helps
Is it possible to layer drums through the push or can you only do that through live by holding command and dragging the one shot to the pad where the other one shot is?
@@campar1043 load up a drum rack and add the sounds that you would like to use. If you want to layer a kick with another you can hold the duplicate button on the push and select the sound you want to copy then select an empty pad and just program your drums
Just watched all of this - great beat, super relaxing to watch you go. I'm a push 2 user. It;s cool to see the standalone side
Thanks! the push 3 has amazing potential.
Nice job!
How do you think it compares to an MPC just for making beats?
Aside from all the other extra features like MPE support etc.
Thanks

Yeah you can if you use a Drum Rack in Push 3 Standalone you can layer any one shot/sample
@@soundsbysev only in standalone?
@@campar1043 you can do the same in controller mode too. You have more flexibility and options using controller mode with ableton.
@@soundsbysev how do I do it?

amazing beat bro
thanks!
Have you had any technical issues?
yeah some minor bugs but im hoping they get fixed with a few updates. Occasional glitches that forces me to restart but very rare in my case
