Season 5 broke all records, and we, as millions of viewers around the world, loved it. Magnum PI was crafted with so much heart. It’s brilliant and successful, and it needs more seasons. For diversity and the portrayal of veterans with all these marvelous characters. The values of selflessness& helpfulness & friendship & brotherhood etc. are represented in such a magical way. The audience found themselves in these fantastic characters & excellent written stories that provoked thought, made you laugh or sent you a Hawaiian hug through the screen. Bring it back.
Beautifully said, Ellen! This is my favorite television series because of the drama, action, humor, romance and humanity. I love the diversity. The display of respect of Hawaiian culture is wonderful. The salute to the military is fantastic. The MPI writers are great story tellers. I love the development of the characters. The actors are talented and portray these characters beautifully. As a viewer I am so drawn in to the stories that I feel like I am part of the Ohana. I wish a streaming service would come to the rescue. MPI is a "feel good" show! Viewers need more of this.
Watched this with my 11yr old son. we loved it and it was such good bonding time discussing the themes the show raised. He is heartbroken that it's over but i guess that is another life lesson.
Started watching this on Amazon Prime and loved it! So much more than the old Magnum PI. The Magnum-Higgins relationship was great, the brotherhood with Rick and TC great too but the chemistry between Gordi and Magnum was so entertaining. Sad it only lasted 5 seasons. I bought season 5 after watching the first four free.

While I would've enjoyed another season, we're fortunate to have gotten what we did. Out of the 120+ shows that were canceled/ended this past year, two-thirds of them only lasted 3 seasons or less. Magnum was one of the few that was 5 seasons or more. But *fingers-crossed* we'll have a reunion movie in the future🙂

I will definitely miss this series and the meaningful stories, Magnum’s wit and Higgins’ smartness and skills and overall the great lessons of friendship the whole team exhibited inside the show. One of my fav scenes was the karaoke one singing I will survive. good bye for now, hopefully it will come back sometime later!!!!
This show needs to come back, rarely do you ever like every character in a show but this is one of them where I did. Even characters who weren’t in it for long like lia and the detective who got blown up. Not one to really care about a couple getting together or not but the whole time I wanted Higgins and Magnum together so bad, would have liked to see them eventually get married. There wasn’t one bad or boring episode for me l, I really enjoyed them all

Extremely disappointed that NBC failed this show. You saved it only to exile it to a lousy timeslot with a deadbeat lead in, then abruptly canceled it after calling it an asset & promising to grow the show. Absolutely ridiculous.
I'm so angry at NBC for canceling #MagnumPI after the 1st 10 episodes. You didn't really give them a chance. Give them a chance for a proper ending. I supported NBC after saving MPI & added a Peacock subscription. I will not watch another NBC show & my Peacock is canceled. NBC went from hero to zero 🤬🤬
Actually be pretty cool to do another season where Robin Masters is brought into the picture. Maybe the crew having to save him from people like the ones who waterboarded Higgins to find out who the white knight is.
Such a great show! Very disappointed to see it cancelled after one season split into two parts. When the old gross version is compared to this beautifully made love story, I can't watch the creepy cringey series from the days of oily matted body hair and walrus 'staches. Yuck.
For me Magnum is done and dusted. It didn't end like I expected it to. But anyway we've watched shows end more disappointing. I guess you could've at least dedicated the last episode for everyone to sort out their lives or something I guess there's no going back now Just so you know. I won't be rewatching Magnum anytime soon
