David Bowie was anything but uptight! The man had swagger and was an artistic genius!
John Lennon from the Beatles is in on this too. :-)
Facts
That song Right on the cover was the b-side to Fame, with Luther Vandross, Robin Clark, and Ava Cherry on backing vocals. Luther and Robin became certified legends in soul and r&b, and Young Americans was the first major record they were on. They worked in a grocery store together when David found Carlos Alomar, Robin's partner, and eventually his longtime guitarist. David took the three of them out on his Philly Dogs Tour while recording the album. It was a huge deal at the time after the Civil Rights Movement. David was quite a good human being. ❤
His 'Space Oddity' song is DIAMOND! lol
David Bo-wee is right. 🥰
This is a little song he wrote with John Lennon from The Beatles for his Young Americans album. It's a gorgeous foray into soul and funk music. I think you'll love a song called Look Back in Anger from his Lodger album. Oasis released a song called Don't Look Back in Anger named after it, so that may appeal to you. David's sound was ever-changing and he could do it all, so expect a lot of different things from him. If you want some other samples of his work in different genres, check out Wild Eyed Boy from Freecloud, Time, and When the Wind Blows. Best of luck! 💙
Hi, Emily... It's Bo-ee , like the knife.
The thing about him was that he was always changing. No two if his albums were exactly alike.
The interesting thing is that the knife guy is actually Boo-ee. Bo-wee is the Scottish version David chose. It means blonde.
Bowie's Young Americans is tight. One of the backup singers was a young Luther Vandross, another legend in his own right.
Emily there are many flavors to David Bowie. He is worth a deep dive.
Emily, Now your reacting to one of the biggest rock stars ever, so many great songs. Try "Moonage Daydream". You got his name right either way, people used both ways.
Panic in Detroit is a hot jam from Bowie, but he has years and years of diamond tunes.
Anytime I hear David Bowie on the radio or whatever music channel I end up dancing with my vaccume. Lol
I played the hell out of this song on the jukebox.
Great - you might like his soul songs Golden Years, Young Americans Live or Let's Dance which was a huge hit in the 80s.
one year before this song he was wearing dresses, makeup, had bright red hair and an eyepatch, and was making straight up rock music-just to give you an idea of how much he changed himself throughout his career lol. Dope reaction!
Lol. He’s a wild card
Oh and I almost forgot...you gotta do "Heros" by David...here's the link:

Emily, you at least gotta watch it on your own.
When you start on Elton John from this era you will be pleasantly suprised how many you know but "Philadedlphia Freedom"(the soul train appearance version ) seems like an answer song to David
You did great Sweet Lady, it's Bowie as in boy ee. Stay Sweet. 🤗😎🤔
Other great Bowie songs. Major Tom, ashes to ashes , star man , golden years, changes, life on Mars, absolute beginners. And he did a duet with queen under pressure. He has more hits he has a song in marvel guardians of the galaxy soundtrack , when they fly into this place called nowhere giant head asteroid thing
"Major Tom"? I assume you meant "Space Oddity"? Also, "Starman" is all one word... :)

I'd love to see your reaction to David Bowie's Golden Years. :-)
Hey baby. GREAT REACTION 👍
Thank you as always 😍
Each generation dress's to annoy the last generation 😄
Oh the comments on you Clapton video are off but yes it was used in a movie 90s called rush , but the song was written about the death of Clapton 4 year old son connor fell out the window of a high rise apartment building. Clapton career goes back to the 60s.
Please check out more Bowie.
ohweeee
lol, David could dance, but nothing spectacular... Now the guy that he let use this same beat on another song could very much dance. ""Hot (I Need To Be Loved, Loved, Loved, Loved)" by James Brown used the same riff. Bowie was hugely flattered that Brown wanted to use it.
The Beatles John Lennon helped write and played on this song.
React to Blake Shelton- now I don't
First white artist on Soul Train.
Look at pics of David Bowie, you'll see some black makeup 😂
