Hey mate did you notice with the garmins that the gps is quite delayed?
It seems when im going iver a mark the gps is very slow to catch up to my movements.
Yeh they are on very low zoom. You can get an add on that's boosts it's speed but I just use it for a rough location and use the the sounders to pin point where I actually need to be

First thing I would be doing though, is whiping out the grinder and hacking off that bollard behind the anchor well and welding it inside the well. In its current location, it's guaranteed to become a literal pain in the arse. Or a broken toe.
Cheers mate 👍 I havent found the bollard an issue yet. it got alot of use prior to fitting the anchor whinch comes in handy when we use the moorings at the islands tho🤙

You can't have tough and light weight, unbreakable means heavy, but the ride quality benefits from the extra weight so really its a win win

What a beast of a boat. She looks like the ultimate setup to me! You should check out the Tailfin Water rail. I’ll never own another boat without one, it absolutely transformed my 4.5m tinny! Probably the best 200 bucks I’ve spent on my boat. 15kph faster, 20 percent fuel saving and much more stable in the rough. I don’t have any association with them, I just think it’s an awesome product. Aussie designed and built too!

Just a suggestion since your anchoring overnight at remote locations etc.
Mouse your anchor shackle pin closed, with a length of stainless steel wire and pliers.
So through the eye of the shackle pin and then around the shackle arm a couple times and twist tight with pliers & trim, then tap the twist flat with the shackle arm.
It just prevents your shackle pin working loose and falling out overnight & you wake up to find the boat goneski. 😳😳👎

Cheers for that everything on the chain side has been hit with lock tight but will definitely do it though better to be safe than sorry.

Hey cheers man, one of its biggest downfalls is its weight makes for a great ride but the 140 works hard getting it out of the hole when it's loaded. Bit more than 940

Just the gme water resistant one nothing flash. It comes with the base to charge it and we cut the end off the cord and wired it into the 12v system so it's always on charge. It's the gx625 I think by memory

Got to have a bimmi windscreen, some shade and protection from the elements,good hull i agree.
Hey mate cheers,if you check out some of the more recent episodes, it's changed a bit, I bought a bimini not long after we built it and couldn't bring myself to put it on after building what we built a flimsy cheap shade with poles and ropes that only served 1 purpose

Yeh it does mate it was one of many things I forgot about. It runs its own 12v 24v charger called trollbridge very small and does the trick
I’d love one of these as a big hp tiller steer with power steering and trim tab, that would be the perfect Kimberley adventure boat for me.
That was our plan mate but having it side console with a steering wheel is so much better for the long trips I think
@@OTTadventures it’s the floor space we need when we are forced to sleep on the boat and carrying everything for a month away from humans 😁, I like to getaway getaway.
We sleep 2 blokes on this piece of cake. Or next trip up to the Kimberly is for a month un assisted towing an old gutted out jetski with a bit over 400L of fuel in it
