Yeah I couldn't really say everything I wanted to in a scripted video or like an essay but in general, the gist of it is that I think the surrounding culture of Starcraft's difficulty level hurts the game. People who I ask about Starcraft have always seen it or heard about it, but are never willing to try because they think they're going to need to dedicate three lifetimes to even start playing. I think this mentality is not very healthy for the game. The game itself is an innovator and honer's paradise as said by Core-A with Arcade/Co-op vs. Ladder/Tournaments to make something for everyone. It's a shame that not many people are willing to even try these things because of the stigma surrounding the game. I myself only played metal league team games and arcade games for years before even touching the ladder, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think others could too. Let me know what you think in the comments!

I agree. Started playing recently again after many years and found joy just being bad and playing the game. Enjoyed the ramble

thanks! I agree, I started playing different fighting games like Tekken 7 and KOF 13 in anticipation in release of KOF 15, and it's so fun being bad and getting better mechanically.

The average ladder hero may be diamond, and the average arcade enjoyer may be bronze, but the thumbnail is gold!

    Very interesting to hear. :)
But I wonder if this would've been better if you weren't playing SC2 at the same time. :D

haha well this is intended not to be a scripted video. More in depth video essays for sure will take more work and thought and I'm not opposed to making them. The issue is that they take a really long time to make and it would be hard to maintain a weekly schedule of vids and make time to get those kinds of vids out. I'm not unopposed, and honestly I want to, but it might not be feasible at the current moment. Hopefully things change though!

@@SpiralBiscuit I wasn't necessarily talking about you writing a script. You could speak freely without having to play a game at the same time. Maybe you're watching a replay, maybe you're just sitting there and talking to the camera. Doesn't have to be scripted. :)
