1st Half Make Day 1
OIL FAZE:-
350g (12.34oz) Coconut Oil
350g (12.34oz) Palm Oil
500g (17.63oz)Olive Oil
500g (17.63oz) Sunflower Oil
75g (2.64oz) Cocoa Butter
75g (2.64oz) Shea Butter
WATER FAZE
266.45g (9.5oz) Lye (Sodium Hydroxide)
400g (14.10oz) Water
Make your mini cupcakes.
DAY 2 Repeat the above recipe!

I just wanted to tell you Thank you so much for inspiring me to make this lovely cupcake embed soap! I used smaller cupcake molds and changed the colors and put a few cupcakes on top and also did my own recipe. I thought it was soooo cute and happy type soap to do now in the States with all this horrible virus going on! So I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration to do something fun😊👍
Hi Karen! So nice to see you make your lovely cupcake soaps again! Part of the country here is in lock down, which really, is not a good thing and I fear the virus is just going to spread like wild fire. I have been sheltering in place now for over a month because I know just how serious this virus is and because I am in a high risk health category. I don't mind it much, I'm able to stay at home and be creative! It's times like these where it warms my heart to see so many people step up to the plate and help out in any way they can. I heard that the virus started out in what is called a wet market in Wuhan China, and I have heard that it was from either a bat or a pangolin. It's a shame because the pangolin are very rare solitary creatures, and should not be kept as pets. Anyway, this virus mutated from being strictly in animals and jumped to humans. This has happened many other times before with chickens, pigs, and cattle. Anyway I hope you and your family stay happy and healthy through these uncertain times! The soap that you made are very labor intensive and when they are done they are just gorgeous! That frosting turned out fabulous! It always amazes me how you get your measurements down so that you know exactly how much you need for each part of this project! They turned out fabulous, and I can't wait for your next video!

Just started watching soap making and it was really weird when you started talking about the lock- down, it fetched it all back so quickly. Made me realise just how quick we forget about things, because we were all so lucky, it could have easily have gone bad. But anyhow sorry for that, about your soap, it's beautiful, you've taken a lot of time with this one, and it shows. Some of them that don't have the full cupcake showing, look like a beautiful flower in a pot...so cool!! Thank you for doing the whole process, I really enjoy seeing the start to finish. From what I heard about how the virus got started, it was in an open market that a bat or some other exotic meat that carries covid virus's was slaughtered in close proximity and contaminated other meats like chicken. Karen, We have been on Lock-down for almost 12 days now. My Caregiver is not even coming in. It is a challenge but it has to be. I thought about you , Lisa and Tiggy as soon as I heard about the U.K. on the News. Trump is only considering a partial lift of the lockdown for places that do not have a large population that has not had a lot of cases of sickness. Love these little cakeys. Please be safe. can you get a cupcake fragrance that does not discolor? I've want to make this using this technique but I don't have a fragrance without vanilla. I'd love to make this soap to have colors like yours
I don't know of one that doesn't discolor. This vanilla cream from Just a Soap does not discolor but it does seize your soap, some fragrance suppliers tell you if a fragrance discolors or seizes, but some do not. Natures Garden are very good they actually have a small pic of the colour the soap turns when used.

The Corona Virus has been around since 1937, back then it was found in chickens and passed on that way but wasn't considered dangerous then. Early 2019 it appeared in humans and has slowly been spreading. That's what my history investigation online found. This is one of the first soapmaking videos I watched as I started wanting to make soap. 12 months later after watching dozens everyday I started myself. I'm in Tasmania Island State of Australia.

karen please what is the concentration lye and the superfat please,
I run the recipe through soapee.com with cero superfat and water lye ratio 1.5:1 and gives little higher quantities... water 403.1 grs and lye 268.8 grs with cero superfat
oh I really love these....I can make them this way "if you don't mind" and make some for the store that I make soaps for....thank you so much for sharing...I will call them "Karen's cupcake soap"!.. what scent should I use...I know, what is your favorite scent..please let me know if this is ok with you...no hurts here...don't want to ever upset...love you, mary

I want to share a story with you...one of the first times I prepared my lye solution I took it outside due to the smoke it emits. Well, the wind blew and I inhaled some of the fumes. I have to say it will burn your lungs...it is highly caustic. You don't want to breathe that stuff in. Please be very careful as Karen said when you are handling lye. :0) Take Care!
I've never done that before, but this is a very good warning, hope you're recovered quick. I will remember this story next time I'm doing a video about lye.
@@EdensSecret1 Hi Karen, thank you for responding. That insident happened a few years ago. I didn't need medical attention but it was pretty scary. When I started out I was watching a soaper online who suggested to mix the lye solution outside away from children and animals, in which you should keep it away from children and animals. Anyway, on this day I finally got the courage to mix up a batch of soap...it wasn't windy or I wouldn't have chosen that time. However, a light breeze came and I inhaled some of the fumes. Needless to say I don't mix my lye outside anymore. I have been making soap for a few years now and I have a good ventilated area to prepare my mixture. I just wanted to let others know there is a definate danger in the process of making lye solution. Thank you so much, Karen, for your kind, and caring instructions on how to make soap. I'm glad you don't tell them to mix it outside. :0)
