My favorite Emperor Zombie moment from that short was when he obtained the “Macguffin”, only to find out what it is; “Eww! It’s not a jewel, it’s a dirty old piece of crap!” (it was a turnip containing a powerful monster known as “the demigod”)
Well, if he read the comics, he knows that SCUDs are very vulnerable to lasers and magic swords. Or he wants to hang out with 1373 (the 'hero' of the comic).
ok now no joke, if you do have something like that please let me know and give it to me. and if you dont then this a message to the rest of the world, if you have goth porn give it to me. please it is the only thing that keeps me breathing. tell me where to find it, give me a link whatever it takes just get me that GOTH
spark129wastaken If you haven't already, look up an artist going by the name RavenRavenRaven. Lots of great artwork of the goth goddess from that person. It might not be explicit, but it's still generally sexy enough to fap to.
I know this is an old comment...but incase you weren't aware...the deadpool animation test by titmouse was leaked...it looks dope...i'll feel dumb if you already knew
I feel like the Deadpool show would have been a sort of spiritual successor to Black Dynamite and a lot of ideas that would have been used for Black Dynamite season 3 would have been used to Deadpool
14:58 Fun fact! Batman Beyond only exists because Warner Brothers demanded Bruce Timm and company make a Batman show where Batman is in highschool. The creators realized the demand was for BATMAN to be in highschool, but not Bruce Wayne, allowing them to make the series set in the future from Batman: TAS.
This reminds me of Nickelodeon suggesting that the Rocko crew include a woman “with a hook”. Either through misinterpreted wordplay or just for the lols, they added Dr. Hutchinson and gave her a hook for a hand.
late to the party but i never knew that. I aslo know that for Marvel, they were going to make a cartoon for Spiderman 2099 (a spiderman named Miguel O'Hara based in the future) However, they scrapped the idea because Batman Beyond aired the year before that
Scud just got referenced in the Mandalorian season 3 premiere! A self-destructing assassin robot returns to its original programming and becomes a killer again. The characters say that the robot "went scud"
The funny thing is that Pryde wasn't even the first cartoon to give Wolverine an Australian accent. That distinction belongs to Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends from the early 80's (which I watched all the time on Jetix back in the day).
@@SoapyTF I forgot who it was, someone who worked at Marvel, but they said the plan was for the comics to reveal Wolverine had been an Australian expat pretending to be Canadian the whole time and the cartoons were supposed to pave the way for that.
Hot damn, I was actually at that Tirmouse panel when they showed the pilot for their Deadpool concept and can confirm that most of what was said is true, thought to elaborate, the style was somewhat reminiscent of the Black Dynamite, but close enough to outright call it that and also the audio they used was the scene where deadpool only had 7 bullets to kill all of the assassins, and some of the highlights from the animatic footage was at one point he shoved a man's head into a helicopter blade that was at the harbor and at another point they had deadpool either shoot, stomp, or kick some guy in the balls though as he did so the footage cut to grainy live action footage of two eggs smashing against each other. And I guess a few more notes from the showing was that from what I can remember, the style was very dark, not unlike the screw on head pilot, though with more sleek and shine, and also the crew members from Titmouse were very jaded that they put all of their effort into making it and didn't get picked so they decided they might as well show it at AX.
"Wolverine! Don't you remember what I t was like when you first discovered you were a mutant?" Uh...no Storm he doesn't goddamn remember that at all, and it'd take like 3 decades until Marvel would actually put it to ink.
Though considering his mutation he likely doesn't remember when he first actually used or noticed his powers, they aren't the kind of power that only manifests in puberty from what i remember
"Don't you remember what it was like when you first discovered you were a mutant?" And then she randomly attacks him with a storm cloud for some reason.
batman of shanghai had three shorts that all connected to each other, it was meant to be a full series but got scrapped. the shorts are all on youtube and are BEAUTIFULLY animated, it's reminiscent of the okami video game style with redesigns for the characters that show up
7:24 It might had something to do with Superboy's unnecessarily complex ownership issues. At one point DC had to change Superboy out for a Superman that acted like a 10y/o edgelord saying shit like "I'LL KILL YOU TO DEATH!" Maybe they didn't want to deal with future legal bullshit from putting him in a show.
Maybe in the beginning, you could argue his actions were justified. But once he starts killing people and then actively denying responsibility for those kills, he became a villain. And that's just his appearance in Infinite Crisis. Once we get to Countdown, we can forget any ideas of Superbitch Pansy being justified or relateable. He destroyed at least one world if I recall, and tortured Mr. Mxyxptlk until he puked. And that's what I can recall off the top of my head. Stupidboy Prime is not a good person. Although, to be fair, Countdown was awful for lots of reasons, not just him being a whiny murderer who shouts about killing people to death.
Yeah, that's what I read! I can't for the life of me find the page where I read it, but this pitch was originally for Superboy and the Legion of Superheroes (as it was in the classic comics). They later had to change his name to Superman (even though he still acts and looks like the classic Superboy), because of the long legal battle going on at the time between Warner Brothers and the Jerry Siegel estate.
The Batman No Man's Land comic wasn't about a post apocalyptic Gotham it was about Gotham suffering an Earthquake and the rest of the world decided to not help them and cut it off from other cities due to the villains escaping.
I really hate when rich companies blatantly only use cheap animation for their properties. Yeah I get it, animation is hard and expensive but if it's just going to look like crap then why even have it animated in the first place?
Izzy McGee It's even sadder when they have to resort to flash animation. Flash has given us some decent Animated cartoons, don't get me wrong, but toons like The Nutshack, Spaceballs the cartoon and Brickleberry felt like they just used flash to side step effort.
Tommy Deonauth's Archives my thoughts exactly. And action cartoons kind of NEED the freedom of hand-drawn animation. Otherwise you might as well be watching two paper skeletons smack against each other.
darkrage6 I know what you mean. The animation for the new Magic School Bus made my eye sockets barf. The style they used just screams "Hey, this is popular and tons of people are going to watch this so let's go cheap as virtually possible because we can get away with it! The show is just for dumbass kids anyway right?"
You spend money to make money. If your expensive studio gains you 2 cents per viewing while the cheap studio gets you 20 cents per viewing, which would you invest on?
I would love to see a Scud: The Disposable Assassin show on Adult Swim. And if one ever gets made, preferably either Titmouse or the team that worked on season 5 of Samurai Jack should make it.
Hen The G What I want to know is, what's up with all the Monster High stuff in Pan Pizza's room? He has figures of Ghoulia Yelps, Spectra Vondergeist, Skelita as well as her doll, and some sort of Kawaii Draculaura... Then again, this is coming from a guy who has Barbie figures from Kinder Surprise Eggs and has made Miis of the Monster High characters.
You figure with the success of Rick and Morty plus the superhero boom(see deadpool similaries) it's only a matter of time before we see Scud in some form.
The Amazing Screw-On Head, Post-apocalyptic Batman and Rat Bastard need to be a fully animated thing. Thogh the first may be a bit more difficult. But they look amazing!
You should do a review of Codename:Kids Next Door one day,Pan. I recently went on a nostalgia trip and reached all 6 seasons, and I must say, it's still pretty awesome.
I love that TMNT clip at 1:08. Going from the serious dramatic part to "the pizza" really made me laugh the first time I saw it (I love how bad the pizza's cgi is in particular). Then I couldn't remember where I saw this. I spent like 30 minutes looking through this channel and my YT history. Well, finally found it! (1.5 years after) Found this because I was looking for Scud.
We need to have an episode where Teen Titans Go runs into the Joker and he recreates The Death of Robbin. It probably won't stick, but at least then we'd be able to get that gif out there of The Joker beating the shit out of TTG Robbin.
yeah, his reviews arent in depth or doesnt add much too his videos besides summarizing the topic or episode he reviews. and he only has more subs cus he can upload mediocre videos fast and weekly. unlike Pan Pizza, who may take forever but his videos are much more better in quality and actually knows about cartoons and the industry, im still wondering how he gets artist and other people in the industry, to his podcast, yet Valiskbum94 has more subs? wtf .
Sounds like they apparently used the (Meet Bambi In The King's Harem Mix) of More Human Than Human for that Rat Bastard pilot. I recognized the bit at 19:20
21:48 I remember that show. It was super weird, and it was aimed more for adults. Also, Neil Patrick Harris as Spider-Man? Even weirder casting. I would be curious to see you getting around to watching this cartoon and reviewing it sometime. It's very interesting, I'm surprised it got as many episodes as it did.
You know it's kinda inronic that Syfy couldn't even afford to aired anything cartoon related that isn't an animated film but they later got the rights to air Futurama in 2018
I know I'm a year late, but the whole concept of legion of superheros bringing superman into the future when he's younger is literally what happened in the comic books. It's the explanation as to why superman is already a great superhero from the get go because he's had so much practice in the future.
I didn't finish the video at first and started reading comics online instead and I as finished reading the latest Injustice chapter I stumbled upon SCUD and what really got me interested was the phrase "Disposable assassin" as I was reading chapter 3 there was this panel where the guards shot of his hand (where his brain is located or whatever) and he took the dog guard's blood and smeared it on his face which made him look like he was smiling and I was like wait...I saw this look before and then I went back to the video and I was like WOAH 'cause at first I thought that it was Plank (from Ed, Edd, and Eddy) who became a super hero. I just wanted to share my recent fascination hahaha SCUD is a good comic.
That screw-on head looks like a great show.I almost want to find that comic just to get more of that. It looks so... stylized and interesting. I don't know. Edit: I said that then two seconds later he says it's a one-shot. This is why you wait until the END of the video to comment.
if you want to see more of the art style then i highly recommend the hellboy comics, it shares the same art style and also includes some of the best monster designs i have ever seen
7:23 Aaaah Super Boy. The only time I ever heard of him was in "The Death and Return of Superman". The video game for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis based on the comic of the same name. That game was awesome. You end up playing as several different versions of Super Man, including Super Boy. I always thought his design was pretty cool.
I love Mike Mignola and Hellboy. I watch and rewatch Amazing Screw-on Head's pilot on UA-cam periodically. I SO WISH they would've have gone through with it.
SCUD and Screw-On Head are two of my favorite lesser-known comic characters, I really wish SOMEBODY would pick up shows for them I really think they could be hits!
Fuck, Scud gives me such nostalgia! I remember when they stopped making the comics and waiting years for the next issue, and then it finally happened... 2008, the Scud comics finally got an ending.
There's a shit-ton of more DC cartoons not in here: a Batman/Superman show by the creators of Beware the Batman, a Green Lantern animated series that featured younger GL recruits as main characters, and a Space Ghost animated series, the last two planned by Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti from Young Justice.
If they ever make anymore Hellboy animated project, I would love for it to the look like The Amazing Screw-On Head Pilot. It’d be hell to animate, but damn it’d look cool!
'and the world around him is normal' said world: contains an evil talking grape a guy with spider power's a robot man an immortal Canadian with retractable claws the list goes on
The Scud test animation looks strangely similar to the CG Eva scenes in rebuild of Evangelion Also, damn, son, I need a Saturn Action Replay so I can play Scud
We actually watched The Amazing Screw on Head in my animation 1 class in college. I actually really enjoyed it. I wish there was more considering the cliffhanger.
I actually have the design sheets [digital copies] of the Kids WB TMNT, there's some really cool stuff there that makes me wish the show made it through
Today I learned that Roscoe J. Rat's voice actor would later go onto voice Bob the Builder and Buckshot from MadWorld. Man has got range that cannot be contested.
At 16:13 Why does it look like a animation you’ll see on Newgrounds? I get it’s from the year 2000 and all but wow the animation quality just reminds me of any web cartoon on Newgrounds
Why the F U C K , didn't you mention the Doom Patrol animated shorts that were on D.C. Nation? They were so cool and stylistic, I mean , it was just oozing with 60's vibe and if they move over to do the stuff that Grant Morrison did with his comic run, then I R E A L L Y want to see what they did with that. I think you would like the Grant Morrison doom patrol run Pan, as an official comic book nerd, you should definitely read it
They were really cool, but I think that it’s because they haven’t been confirmed to be a Pilot for a full Series, like Batman of Shanghai, another DC Nation Short. Also, Pan doesn’t really like to read. I asked him about it on a stream, and he said he’s only read the Scud and Death Jr. Comics
godammit, I want all of these. I'm also glad to hear any mention of SCUD in general. SCUD: The Whole Shebang was one of the first comics I ever bought, and it has a special place in my heart.
I was suggested Scud at a comic book store by a guy who only knew my tastes as JTHM, Invader Zim, and Lenore, was this guy right that knowing my tastes, the comics would be good? I only know Scud from this video and from his cameo in Doc and Mharti
I've heard of much of the shows listed (I sent the 2000's tmnt video link to your twitter in 2015) , these would've been great shows, though they were released at the wrong time.
Scud will never be animated Pan. what did you think was gonna happen Pan? what are you crazy Pan? what did you think was gonna happen Pan? It's a comic book. it's not real life, Pan. it's just a comic book, Pan! It's not real life! It's not real life, Pan! It's a comic book!
Spider Man (2003) on MTV was pretty great. It was mine and my moms favorite cartoon at the time,I was about 4 when I saw it on DVD at Toys R Us and it was the only thing i watched because nothing else was as cool to look at for me.
A John Woo led TMNT? YES PLEASE. Also, Rat Bastard sounds great as an idea for a cartoon. And what's with MTV and 13 episode series? First Downtown then Spidey? No wonder their name is in the toilet nowadays.
"Why steal a book you can't read? That seems silly"
"I was uhh attempting to translate it"
"Ooooh, how far you'd get?"
i love that exchange.
My favorite Emperor Zombie moment from that short was when he obtained the “Macguffin”, only to find out what it is;
“Eww! It’s not a jewel, it’s a dirty old piece of crap!”
(it was a turnip containing a powerful monster known as “the demigod”)
"I await your SCUD..."
So, Pan is prepared to defend himself for when someone sends a disposable assassin to kill him.
Because Scud is reeeeaaaal!
Well, if he read the comics, he knows that SCUDs are very vulnerable to lasers and magic swords. Or he wants to hang out with 1373 (the 'hero' of the comic).
No Pan Pizza, you can't have my 250 gigabyte Goth porn files.
Like that's gonna stop him from stealing all of it.
ok now no joke, if you do have something like that please let me know and give it to me. and if you dont then this a message to the rest of the world, if you have goth porn give it to me. please it is the only thing that keeps me breathing. tell me where to find it, give me a link whatever it takes just get me that GOTH
I would think he would have way more than 250GB of his own collection.

A whole Deadpool series with Black Dynamite animation would have been amazing. Also they should make a 3rd season of Black Dynamite.
Bob its far too late

Eamon O'Connor good
Eamon O'Connor so
Daymon Harris You should stay abstinent until marriage
Eamon O'Connor ?
Daymon Harris The Bible is pretty clear
The Screw On Head pilot makes me sad. This is the worst timeline.
That had some good animation right there!

DAMN didn't catch that. Nice
Superman by Genndy Tartakovsky? Jesus Christ fund this immediately
Maybe we can finally have a good post-Superman II movie
horaciosi Superman Returns was good
tbh fund anything by tartakovsky

Good news search it up and you find new concept art showing superman and what he would've looked like
The Sense of Right Alliance deserves a show.
red car is my favorite sense of right

Wilfred Cthulu Shrek
Yellow Ranger is my favorite!
Wilfred Cthulu There should be an arc where the Power Ranger and Car are stranded in Shreks swamp XD
Wilfred Cthulu thats the best superhero team! Its got all your favorites: Batman, Superman, Shrek .... A car...

There is no mushroom kingdom, luigi. It's all in your head.
Look what I found outside our house, Mharti. HE'S REAL MHARTI, IT'S NOT A COMIC BOOK IT'S REAL.
*SCUD IS REEEAAL, MHARTI!*
“FXX is working on a Deadpool cartoon” *cries*
Right? I'm still salty about it being cancelled. It would've been so amazing
"Someday we'll be as developed as you" That quote aged really well considering the original's popularity now.
@@chrash2012 Practically anything by Mike Mignola tbh.
The amazing Screw-on head looks pretty great, the style is great and the voice acting is delightful

Just after the title card, I see that Ghoulia Yelps vinyl figure. Not even a minute has gone by.
16:10 at the time ya lobo was way to violent. Though with today with studio like Netflix and such it would love to see a lobo cartoon.
The amount of research and obscure shit you always have in your videos always amazes me. Keep it up.
Pan's signature "end the video in the middle of a weird/funny commercial" always makes me laugh.
and someone it make a relation from each other
17:02 We did get that Batman No Man's Land adaptation...through the Harley Quinn animated series. Season 2 was basically a loose version of that.
'and the world around him is normal' said world: contains an evil talking grape a guy with spider power's a robot man an immortal Canadian with retractable claws the list goes on
The Scud test animation looks strangely similar to the CG Eva scenes in rebuild of Evangelion
Also, damn, son, I need a Saturn Action Replay so I can play Scud
Weird how Rainbow studios did the TMNT 90s cartoon, which later on would develop the CARZ games.
We actually watched The Amazing Screw on Head in my animation 1 class in college. I actually really enjoyed it. I wish there was more considering the cliffhanger.
apparently it was Ryan Rodney Renold (yeah I'm having way too much fun with his full name) himself who asked to have the movie leaked
I actually have the design sheets [digital copies] of the Kids WB TMNT, there's some really cool stuff there that makes me wish the show made it through
Thank you for putting in my fan art also I made a updated version wear hat is bigger
I love the 2nd tmnt animatic, its very close to the original comic and it looks good
The scud intro sounds like Rob Zombie made it. God I want a cartoon of scud
Today I learned that Roscoe J. Rat's voice actor would later go onto voice Bob the Builder and Buckshot from MadWorld. Man has got range that cannot be contested.
Screw on head feels like a fever dream.
Comics
18:32 hey look guys it’s that Skeleton Pilot people used for the WTF Boom meme
MY EYES ARE POPPING OUT OF MY HEA-
godammit, I want all of these. I'm also glad to hear any mention of SCUD in general. SCUD: The Whole Shebang was one of the first comics I ever bought, and it has a special place in my heart.
A midnight society Fucking finally
Jada Lewis
Ikr I dropped my balls when I saw this
8:40 Wait, did Storm just ask the amnesiac if he remember s what it was like when he first discovered his powers?
Now I want "The Amazing Screw-On Head." It seems like a good concept.
I was suggested Scud at a comic book store by a guy who only knew my tastes as JTHM, Invader Zim, and Lenore, was this guy right that knowing my tastes, the comics would be good? I only know Scud from this video and from his cameo in Doc and Mharti
1:25
Pfft , What's next , A Tmnt film developed by Seth Rogen , now that's a super ridiculous concept.
I remember having a VHS tape of Pryde of the X-Men as a kid and never knowing that it was the only episode made. Really sad when I found that out.
Never been this quick to watch a video
I've heard of much of the shows listed (I sent the 2000's tmnt video link to your twitter in 2015) , these would've been great shows, though they were released at the wrong time.
Scud will never be animated Pan. what did you think was gonna happen Pan? what are you crazy Pan? what did you think was gonna happen Pan? It's a comic book. it's not real life, Pan. it's just a comic book, Pan! It's not real life! It's not real life, Pan! It's a comic book!
Oh man I love those old doc and marty spoofs, there aren't enough of them tho, I wish somebody would turn it into a tv show
Spider Man (2003) on MTV was pretty great. It was mine and my moms favorite cartoon at the time,I was about 4 when I saw it on DVD at Toys R Us and it was the only thing i watched because nothing else was as cool to look at for me.
I think the main episode i always think back to is the one with that lady who used a magic sword that kept her young.
Plot twist: Years later Rat Bastard will resurface as GunForHead Bastard from japan, also known as No Guns Life.
The Amazing Screw-on Head would've been an AWESOME show!!!😁👍
Yes, but they screwed-on it.
It would have been OK in Adult Swim.
A John Woo led TMNT? YES PLEASE. Also, Rat Bastard sounds great as an idea for a cartoon. And what's with MTV and 13 episode series? First Downtown then Spidey? No wonder their name is in the toilet nowadays.
Dammit every time I think of ending my miserable existence a new video from Pan appears.
Jeez pan, after last video I didn't think you would be able to turn back and make a good video but you did. I await more midnight society.
A sequel to the 2009 Animated Wonder Woman? That would've been SICK. The villain could've been Circe!
