this is pure real pro wrestling my friends. I've seen the Don Jardine Spoiler live in 1984. wish i had seen Bruiser ... RIP Frank...& Don(i think Jardine passed...?).
Bro you can search him on Google, just type "Don Jardine Wiki" in quotations, ok?? He was supposedly writing a book right before his death. I bet a lot of wrestling fans would kill for the manuscript. The curiosity and love is out there. Tons of UA-cam channels like this one and Jim Cornette, etc---no one can tell me it wouldn't sell if people knew about it.
@@Dregen1 I am very familiar w/both Inoki's and Baba's promotions. Kabuki & Muta (even b4 he was Muta in FCW) are some of my favorites. Jardine was a tough SOB too, let me tell you. Just imagine--this was before weight-lifting became so popular. Wonder if these guys worked in a meat-packing plant?? Watch what Gary Hart says about Don Jardine on UA-cam---would not want to F around with that guy.
Brusier, Brody, and The Spoiler Don Jardine, both Texas legends , but also instrumental in the making of another Legend, Mark Callaway, The Undertaker, Don Jardine trained Callaway and taught him the top rope walk, while Brody, in World Class Wrestling, was the first to book Callaway under the moniker Texas Red ,with Percy Pringle, who would become Paul Bearer, and Brody ,as an active booker, was Callaways very first opponent.
Mark Callaway wasn’t trained by Don Jardine. He was trained by Buzz Sawyer.Callaway was a big Jardine fan and patterned aspects of his style after him, including the top rope walk.
What a fantastic match! Great workers and so much effort. Loved the Spoiler and Brody is my all time favorite. You also have one of the trainers of the Undertaker(Jardine) and his first professional ring opponent (Brody).
I was recently listening to Gary Harts book on UA-cam and he seemed to have a lot of respect for Paul. Even though he talks about how he didn't like how Paul took his issue with Fritz out on David, Kerry and Kevin, he still went out of his way to say that he really admired Paul and thought he was a credit to the industry. Now Jerry Jarrett on the other hand, Gary really didn't like him 😂😂😂
Brodie is jacked!!!! Two of the all time greats to ever enter the squared circle. RIP to both. Let's see. Bruiser takes the first, Don the second + a dq.
as a young boy growing up in port arthur texas there was a spoiler number 1 and number 2 there was a wrestlimg program every satuday at channel 4 called studio wrestling with paul boesh playboy gary hart manage them
It waa hard to blow up Don Jardine mostly because he never deviated from his methodical style . He was something to see . 6'4" and 276lbs was not a common sight , especially to see leaving his feet so often for those rope tricks . He did not do a lot but it all looked good . He was just as nasty to promoters as Brody was . Such was the state of wrestling back then that you either accepted a certain amount of being robbed or you fought back and earned a bad reputation with promoters . These two guys were not only tough enough to take on the Promoters ramrod in most cases they were big enough draws to get away with confrontations and breaches of verbal contract . Ernie Ladd was another who would get his money or else though Big Ernie just usually pulled the old trick of walking out to the ri g to be seen then leaving the building before his match .
I have a question why did the spoiler didn't go to NWA or WCW or WWE at that time when all the wrestlers went to WWE I think the spoiler with being a good bad guy for Hulk Hogan and Undertaker that was then a main event
Spoiler trained Undertaker. His costumed resembled Spoiler's as Mean Mark & Undertaker patterned his moves from spoiler (slow and deliberate moving, walking the 2nd and top ropes)
Why would this be posted originally with no audio? Trust me somebody has this with audio an amazing RealAudio film probably the WWE archive I don’t know but somebody has this
It would be like anyone else wants fight "BRODY" & some dumbass would say yeah ,afterwords he would say " yeah I fought him and my record is one and I'm one and done"
Lol! Twice the announcer said the crowd is on there feet! Twice when the camera pulls back for a wider shot the crowd is sitting, not a single wrestler on their feet. Oh well he's trying right?
Dude, Brody was only like 6'3 or 6'4. Their damn near the same height. Brody is a little thicker as far as bulk but they are very close in height. Brody's height got exaggerated.
Thank you, Joe. Bruce Tharp even tells us this in his intro. Fritz Von Erich's NWA Dallas office, prior to their legendary World Class Championship Wrestling brand, was supplying Boesch the talent and their featured heavyweight title, other than the NWA World of course, was the American not the U.S. title.
It's a hipotetical comment besides that's for the TV audience an also that's his job to make things look more exiting than they are I think if you had that job you would fail espectacularly since you have no idea of what he is trying to do but you still have time to learn.
Classic match. Two of the best. Brody was in remarkable shape.
Thanks for the upload 2 of my absolute favorites from the 70s
Wow what a match Bruiser Brody and The Spoiler ..it don't get no better than this
I saw this 39 years ago in Black-and-white TV
A GREAT FIGHT,TWO OF THE BEST.
thanks this is what wrestling was
Jardine also wrestled as the Super Destroyer. In the AWA he was unmasked in Denver by the Crusher.
this is pure real pro wrestling my friends. I've seen the Don Jardine Spoiler live in 1984. wish i had seen Bruiser ... RIP Frank...& Don(i think Jardine passed...?).

Hasn't been 'real' since like the 1920s. If you like a sport presentation, check out NJPW.

This is great stuff..never knew Brody faced Patera or the Spoiler.
Two legends!
wish bill eddie had started a little earlier would love to have seen the spoiler vs the superstar would have been a classic match
Superstar would take it 🏆
I was there.great years.best shape of his life imo
I love old school wrestling.
70 and 80 wrestling is best.
Great seeing this war.
It's nice seeing that bully, Don Jardine, facing someone whom he can't bully around. I love to see bullies getting their come uppance.
Dang, Brody was a freaking monster back then!
Ive rarely seen him this big and toned.
Jardine was a tough SOB too, let me tell you. Just imagine--this was before weight-lifting became so popular. Wonder if these guys worked in a meat-packing plant?? Watch what Gary Hart says about Don Jardine on UA-cam---would not want to F around with that guy.
@@Rubin4749 he trained the Undertaker
Thank you for the narration
THE LEGENDARY BRUISER BRODY !
Two of the greatest!
lol poor bronco he had a hard enough time trying to control the von erichs or the freebirds much less the spoiler and brody.

@@jasonpanelli4446False. Sawyer did nothing but stretch him and take his money. He's literally stated this many, many times.

It was going to be a HARD-earned win either way, but I damn near pissed myself when BRUISER BRODY won. A CLEAN pin, on top of that!
Bruiser was an anti hero. Not a good guy but fans love him.Not many wrestlers can pull that off.
Paul Boesch, what a class act and great promoter ...
Paul Bosch was a good promoter
Also highly decorated infantry officer in WWII. I just bought his book about months of nightmarish close combat with Germans in the Hurtguen Forest.
I was recently listening to Gary Harts book on UA-cam and he seemed to have a lot of respect for Paul. Love it. Thanks for posting.
Brody was a beast at that time! Serious dude!!
Rip Brody
my fav masked wrestler...the spoiler...rip dan jardine
Used to watch him in Carolinas in early '70s as Super Destroyer. He was a terror back then.
Mine too! Super Destroyer with Lord Alfred Hayes in the AWA was a hilarious act
Both were well built and muscular. Spoiler dished out a lot of punishment and Brody just took it .
Brody was the best big man period huge skills on the mic it was my belt it was on loan ...lol
This is wrestling they told a story as the match went on unlike what you see today
Brody was the best hardcore wrestling I have ever seen R.I.P. in Heaven.
Brodie is jacked!!!! Two of the all time greats to ever enter the squared circle. RIP to both. Let's see. Bruiser takes the first, Don the second + a dq.
What exactly would a wrestler have to do to get disqualified?
DREAM MATCH 2 ,,BRUISER BRODY VS THE UNDERTAKER
It actually happened. Bruiser killed him in two minutes.
Do u have any Georgia championship wrestling
Rob Ferguson yes
as a young boy growing up in port arthur texas there was a spoiler number 1 and number 2 there was a wrestlimg program every satuday at channel 4 called studio wrestling with paul boesh playboy gary hart manage them
19:29 Brody moves the ring when he hits the turnbuckle! 😃
2 tough, tough guys.
not once but twice "fans are on their feet" as we show sitting fans...:)
There was one or two people on their feet
"fans are on their feet"; as we cut to a shot of ringside where everyone is sitting on their hands
He must´ve thought we were listening to the match over the radio. ;)
Love that match between spoiler & wrestling no. 2
R.I.P Bruiser Brody the original badass
The Spoiler walked the top rope like no other
Brodys taller than the Spoiler by at least an inch here.
Agreed bro, that sounds about right. Maybe 6'4 to 6'6... At Most.
Bruiser is a Big Dude good lawd
*Claps* This is Wrestling *claps*
How big was that ring?
looks 20 x 20. most are 18 x 18, some are 16 x 16

According to Gary Hart, the spoiler was probably the legitimately toughest man he ever met.

He was in WWF in the mid 80s
Bronko Lubitch was next door neighbor of a buddy of mine.
Boyd Pierce as the announcer.
Did paul ever book spoiler against mil mascaras, do you have that match
I've never met a Japanese wrestling fan who doesn't like Brody!

Brusier Brody walks into gym...squats everyone at the same time...leaves gym
ooops so sorry don jardine
james lott I absolutely agree; The Spoiler was my favorite. He was so cool back then.
I would love to see how todays people would deal with Bruiser. They would quit.
It would be like anyone else wants fight "BRODY" & some dumbass would say yeah ,afterwords he would say " yeah I fought him and my record is one and I'm one and done"

7 minutes in, everyone is seated and the commentator makes a stupid comment by saying everyone is on their feet.
