How To Run JavaScript In VSCode with Node JS (LiveServer localhost)

Hey guys in this #vscode tutorial I'll show you 3 different ways how to run JavaScript in Visual Studio Code (VS Code) All 3 require that you have Node JS installed on your system. We'll take a look at running js in vscode terminal, using code runner extension and then run JavaScript using Live Server extension at localhost address in your browser with hot reload.

I have a VPS server so how can i run it on that? so it won't be local anymore and has address so anyone can access to it?
The video is great thank you! BUT i get to Json installation and can do that BUT then I go to settings then to extension settings but I do not have the the command setting and dont know what to do can you help me PLEASE :)

Currently I'm getting ReferenceError: document is not defined
whenever I use document.getElementById to add event listeners linked to my HTML. do you know what might be the issue? I dug through stackoverflow and couldn't find anything.

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource
so i guess it wont work on localhost
It will. This isn't Vscode issue. You can disable SSL in Chrome. But you can also install https on local host. This might also happen if you're trying to make a call to https URL, from http localhost.

you said at 6:43, make sure you have "liveserver.settings.advancedcustomebrowsercmdline". OK, I don't, I have "liveServer.settings.donotShowInfoMsg": true. Now what?
update: I figured that out but it doesn't work.
So, so many questions...
does JS have to be embedded in HTML?
does it have to be in the head?
It keeps asking me to open a folder and create a json file.
lol you still need the browser one...just type it in yourself if it isn't there
