This is even more exploitative than just being a landlord. Charging actual renters more money than the market rental value to squeeze out additional profit.

Ps I also want to get into property, for my family, and to be a blessing to others.
I'd love to be able to put 40 or 60 hours a week into something like this, we just live in a completely dead area where this doesn't work as a model.. otherwise we would both me doing it by now and have financial freedom which would be amazing 😀 ❤️ especially because I can be a handyman for all repairs and I worked since 17 on the pipeline when I graduated til the current administration screwed thousands of us who dedicated our life to our job living in hotels away from our families and that's the thanks we got. Our paychecks gone.. now it's barely getting by because that line of work is all there really is around our area thankfully we don't have any debt because we paid everything off before this happened not even a credit card debt ever and we own our home thank the lord for guiding us to make sure we were smart about our money and not drinking and wasting it on stuff. We wanted out of debt fast in case this happened and sure enough..
Would the actual landlords what more rent of them if they were letting the homes out,and how would the contract part be solved
As long as there's no clause prohibiting subletting, the owner couldn't claw more income from them.
