Update: I'm gonna try it myself
Update: I tried and could only get over 3/4 of the circle. Also had to replace all central walls with ones you can shoot through so shadow could heal me constantly. I tried only once tho
Update: tried again, same result
Update: I tried again with that new gear and still didn't succeed (I think nothing really changed, probably thanks to that 20% smoke damage)

By no shortcuts the mean that you’re not allowed to cut one section of the circle out. 8-Bit still went in the correct direction
Same could be said about Nani, when she flew Peep in the correct pattern and teleported to the end.
