From my experience each dive point has consistent button press pattern. Also getting the better cylinders does not require progressing the story, there is a person on Argentum whom will assess you salvage progression for a fee, once you have done enough dives he will allow gold cylinders to be bought. He hidden on a balcony and will required jumping down to.
Actually u cant get Gold right away u can only get up to silver u have to get to the Empire before u can get Gold and then ive only seen them in other shops after doing the merc missions for that area and raising the dev lvl

Just wait until you unlock gold cylinders and farm mor ardain you can get 2-3 million an hour. I did like 99 gold cylinders and i think those krabbles that you farm for rare cores come out more often
The tolen krabbles that are there have a 100% chance of dropping cores when i go there to farm cores i mostly get commons but rares are still pretty easy to get you just need to push out and grind as hard as possible
If you were like me at this point, I spent all my money before the artificial parts quest so I couldn't get the 12,000 for the Bion connecters. But from what I experienced, if you dive at the point in torigoth you can get them from doing it that way and complete that part of the quest.
for anyone using the boosters, you need the stat you want to be the highest, so if you have 1 justice and 2 truth you dont need to use a truth booster but if you want justice you would need to use 2 justice booster to get your justice up to 3
I know this is old, but that is 100% incorrect. The booster you use makes it only use that idea. The others are counted as 0 for that summon. More boosters just raise the bonus on the summon chance.
I'm not sure if this still works(edit: it does still work as of 12/16/17). I tried it with about 5 silver cylinders and didn't make a profit. I will try with the normal cylinders as suggested in the guide to get my gold up. Also I have just got Nia back but I'm stuck in story stuff and need to get back to the main map. Trying to avoid spoilers so I won't say what is going on at this point in the game. Update: I did the regular cylinders and bought about 23 of them with my cash. I turned 9k into 17k then I went and bought 10 silver cylinders with my 17k(16k for the cylinders) and that turned into 43k. Now I bought 23 silver cylinders and with my 43k and I am going to sleep. I just wanted to say this still does work. Anyone have any idea how many cylinders I gotta use to get the guy to upgrade me to gold cylinders? Also how many salvages or selling sets(not sure which) will upgrade my dev points to max with the city? Are we talking 100s of cylinders or 1000s?
How does the timing work I can't seem to get it I get the first and second but the third one man it sucks any advice lol first timer here playing any type of rpg game I'm enjoying the game just need help on that thanks
He can have about 20? or so I think. Each character can. But if you don't have good synergy with your other characters blades, it will be hard to do the massive combos.
What do I do when i reach the blade limit ? Can i delete the blades ? Do "rare" blades count in that limit ? Btw 20-25 is the limit untill you get to chapter 4 and unlock merc missions. When you complete those, your blade limits increases.
What Luke said. I spoiled it for myself but I'm glad I stopped giving Rex so many rare blades. Ended up salvaging and getting so many rare cores that I gave both Rex and Nia a handful each long before I got another driver in the party.
And it also depends where you go salvaging because if you went to because if you were farming cores u prob wouldn’t go to saets chiefs residence you’d be better of going to lower level dock mor ardain I can’t remember the exact name but if you go there get a really bad drop and go from there

Did around 40ish silver cylinders after refilling them once then had about 110k and 3 stars. bought a little under 20 gold ones and ended up with 250k. Went and did 30 of the gold ones and came out with 550k. I've got no doubt that an hours worth of gold cylinders would net me a mil at the moment.
How do you buy premium cyllinders? I bought some at one point in the game, I currently have 26 but it's not in any shop I've seen anymore does anybody have the answer? I will post a short UA-cam video on this showing I do have 26.
Also if you get the the rare blade Boreas he give you a boost when scavenging

i think some points do change the button patterns, i remember one in either cliffs of morytha or temperatia does that.
There’s a secret place called Fief of Forgetfulness below Mor Ardain. It has a salvage point that changes buttons so I gave up on that immediately.
The salvage point on the wing of the titan battleship has random commands
commenting from the future, what i hate is patterns being random and awkward because my timing is a bit off.

It isn't a glitch, it'll always work. The game intended for this to happen. It's the point of salvaging.

It has a higher chance of getting rare items eg. with a 2 perfect gold you can get the same or more as a 3 perfect silver

you gotta do a long rest over and over again until they wind up in the shop, and they'll stay there and at every salavage shop until you rest again
