Clarissa Ward is a seven-time Emmy award winning journalist and currently the Chief International Correspondent for CNN. One of the first reporters to cover the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, her career has been marked by documentation of prominent international conflicts. She coordinated Fox News’ coverage of the capture and execution of Saddam Hussein and covered the war in Afghanistan for ABC and Syrian uprising for CBS. Ward has also spoken at the UN Security Council on Aleppo and reported on the Russian Security Services’ pursuit of Alexei Navalny in the 2010s as part of a documentary on the issue.

I admire and respect this woman so much.
Humility is a quality that rarely seems highly prized in this "assertive" world. It was good to hear it's benefits being extolled by someone who appreciates first hand the very real fragility and limitations of humans. From the interview, Clarissa comes over as genuine, honest and worth listening too. In fact a classical journalist rather than a lobbiest. Sadly not something for which CNN has been noteworthy in recent years, in my 'humble' opinion.
CNN is a far left propaganda machine which selectively reports only the news their owners want to.
She did eventually become an actress. In fact she’s a good actress, she can tell all those lies on TV without flinching.

If you would care to research fox "news" is is also banned by law in Canada for lying but you can find it on cable entertainment section. Athough fox news is being sued for $2 billion for lying about the voter machines in the 2020 election it is a civil case and nobody will go to jail. @@abderrahmanlamrani5310 I wholeheartedly agree, although I’d go further back in the distrust of media really starting closer to Vietnam where the networks were used almost blatantly as propaganda networks, from there each invasion or unjust war further solidified control, Reagan repealed the fairness doctrine, and here we sit today where journalism as a concept is dead.
Mearsheimer is very wise on this matter, my greatest anchors to sanity these days are people like John, and we have some networks who still act in the manner which you reference, TeleSUR is doing great work, some independent voices who are constantly under attack and censorship. It’s frightening how close we are to a total closed off state of censorship in the west and the vast majority of the populous don’t even realize it. The media has fully grown into its role as stenographers of the elite, and coupled with very well thought out tactics of propaganda, they are slowly brainwashing the people and walking them into wars and genocide.
