How to download files from websites, including handling exceptions such as file already exists

hi, how do you automate for file download but on different links each day. My use case is , i use a comic website that uploads a pdf everyday ( "Date" followed by "Download" button in a table) i have to download from it. so here there is no permanent url each day to download from. Is the method 1 only possible scenario for my usecase or is there any chance of using method 2 for my needs?
