Woops, looks like I mixed up November and October. My bad. Yeah, the sign was talking about events a month ahead. Still, at least the bombs dropped while the kids were out of school.
Some are really disturbed by the ending. It's messed up. I wanted the horror of what these raiders did to really hit home. Sorry if it was too much.
Oxhorn Jesus, I I...that was horrifying
Keep at it. Kind of puts you in the moment. I like it tho it was putting. Again though, it needs to be. It put you in a time the game didn't cover.
Oxhorn yeah the ending was really dark man
Jericho! Come back! Heel.........yeah you need a better collar and lead on him Ox. You will have to wait a couple of years before you can borrow some gear from Beatrix over in New Vegas though. :)
Oxhorn 1 it’s ok
2 ignore my name (EVIL BROTHER)
“Looking up we can clearly see something resting on top of the cage.” “Including what appears to be a nuka-cola quantum.” “WE NEED TO GET UP THERE”
"Extreme thirst"
"Must get my precious from top of cage"
Always get the NC Quantum.
"Oh my God that's horrible" slides over dead child's shot up body, "theres blood all over this nuka cola bottle"
Get outta here, Pewds fan!
Oxhorn, the Raider slang "Scab" usually means "slave." The Raiders of the Pitt often call their slaves 'scabs.'
"Bobbo died like a *jerk* " whoah there Ox there are children watching
No there aren't didn't you see that cage?
Jimbo Beterson ouch
Bobo sell rice
Ain't no bad words on this Christian server
Not anymore
'While we were exploring..' *Shows clip of jumpin on a toilet*
Didn't expect a flamingo fan to be watching oxhorn btw I watch flamingo
Heh he was exploring the toilet
Pyroscar Your profile pic is blessed
Paladin Hewer but your a flamigo/albert fan he is a flamigo/albert fan I am a flamigo/albert there is probably more of us
man I want to commit...commit...not live
The buffout was probably left by the raiders not the elementary schoolers
If it was a high school, I could see it being from the students, particularly if it was men's bathroom/locker room.
You walk into the girls restroom to sneak a peak and suddenly get jumped by little girls taking buffout who then beat you up
mangoismangois No it was left by the infantes
@@GlenTropile A bit late but
It isn't, though... it's an elementary school.
Jericho is really rocking that Iron Patriot look.
Springvale was o e of the first places i went when starting out. I never saw Raider Decor before. So i walked into the front door, looked at the corpse on the wall, said Nope! Then turned and walked back out.
I think I discovered you a few months ago but I only watched one or two videos to see stories about things I was curious about. Lately I have been binge watching your Fallout stories more than almost any other form of entertainment. It's just so good! It's like a good Netflix series except there is 5 years worth of daily content! Thanks for entertaining me sir!
Nismomonkey that's exactly what happened to me. I initially came to the channel looking for the stories of the Vaults and now I'm hooked.
@@ILikeTuwtles hell yes!
"Better hope I don't find you!"
Gets killed in one laser blast.....
3:24 Jericho upon seeing the bodies: "I could use a smoke."
yeah.... yeah you and me both buddy!
When i first went in the school and looted the wastelanders i didnt expect an ant ambush and at the time i had no weapons beside the 10mm and the shotgun. All i could do was run and shoot until i ran out of ammo. That was when i first started playing fallout 3. Those ants still creep me out but not as bad as the ones in greyditch.
"We find a door, but before we can go through it, we find a raider"
**pew**
(Enters door)
This was my first location I found after leaving the vault it's fair to say knowing nothing about fallout at 14 I was scared shitless and didnt touch the game until a year later when I stumbled upon a video of the game
There are numerous remnants of attempts to control the population and curtail the diseases breaking-out in Fallout 3. Could the school have been a gathering point for these efforts?
Interesting!
is it just me, or does the wasteland in fallout 3 look so desolate and lonely?
The Minecraft guys Monthie every time I picture a wasteland it’s always like fallout 3. That’s how fallout wastelands should look like. Not the wasteland of fallout 4. That just looked just ugh
The Minecraft guys Monthie same
Azazura Azura I know I meant the way the terrain and the ground looked
The Minecraft guys Monthie it is much more depressing than the wastes in Fallout 4 and New Vegas, that's for sure. I'd reckon it's because Washington got carpet-bombed - it's essentially the biggest shithole in what was once the US. Radiation everywhere, probably got picked clean by scavengers along the years which means people get more and more desperate to survive.
Radiation and chem abuse means more people out of their minds attacking everyone they see. Remember Three Dog saying that trees are a thing of the past? But there are still a lot of trees and vegetation in general in the Commonwealth, as shown in Fallout 4. There are also plenty of trees in Fallout 2, as well. So Washington is *really* worse off than other states. Basically, it's depressing because it's probably the worst part of the wasteland you could be in.
Palpameme 66 the Commonwealth didn't get bombed to shit, though. That's why it doesn't look as fucked as Washington. There was only the one big bomb in the Commonwealth, and you can see what it did to the nearby area - it created the glowing sea. Judging by all the radiation hot spots and bomb craters in Fallout 3, I'd say Washington got bombed much more than once, all over the state. Understandably, it looks much more bleak and deserted than any other game in the series, even 1 and 2.
mayhare 97 I think you hit the nail on the head. Washington was target #1. So it would be bombed the hardest. Boston was hit by maybe 5 bombs at most and Vegas was protected by Mr. House.
Ah yes, can't have a teachers desk without some good ol 10mm rounds
*Pumped up kicks plays*
Don't you keep a firearm in your desk?
MURICA
The idea of guns or ammo being in a ELEMENTARY school is horrific in and of itself. Pre-war America couldn’t have been that bad.... could it? (I know the rounds most likely came from the raiders but what if they didn’t... what are the implications of the idea that the rounds are from pre-war?)
I love how Oxhorn talks to Jericho as if he is a pet. "Buddy, come on!"
These videos are really great to listen to in the background while driving or playing games or even laying in bed
"what's goin' on here, kid? i thought you were some sort of badass."
"while we were exploring jerico ran off to kill some raiders!"
lol he's eager XD
*opens desk* Bottle Caps (76)
Nah....
*opens filing cabinet* Bottle Caps (7)
Well shoot better grab these
2:07 They actually had a crap ton of these in a row right between the PE field and the main school buildings at my middle school lmao. It was fenced off from either side.
Fallout 1, 2, 3, and NV: the raiders are ruthless, terrifying, insane, and uncaring
Fallout 4 and 76: insane comedians
Nah in 4 they're still ruthless murders.
16:31 well the ncr did give explosives to the powder gangers
that ending got me going like "Well, that escalated quickly."
"We'll get back to what Jericho was doing, for now let's continue to investigate the boy's bathroom..."
I love how Oxhorn is always fully geared wherever he goes.
I always saw it as kids that had to stay after school as the bombs dropped. They put the barricades up to try to defend from the early raiders with the teachers and a Little Lamplight like event happened, where the kids were the last ones alive before early raiders killed them.
How is the school soul crushing it's just one big "welcome to Fallout 3"
Because it involves kids and oxhorn is a dad so i guess. Idk i dont have kids so it doesnt bother as much as it would a parent. Raiders are pricks regardless and all get a hot one in their abdomen anyway
Danfrombackhome I'm not a parent and I never will be. This place still fucked me up.
There's something understandably disturbing about seeing dead children, parent or not. It will definitely disturb a parent more than other people, but still.
Then again, I have a little cousin. So could be it affects me more because of that.
mayhare 97 For me, i just detach myself from the game so it doesnt affect me, because it is a video game and none of it is real, the things the weirds me the most is the cagr rather than the kids
Gamerin123 d that's perfectly understandable. People will react to things differently. Mufasa's death never did anything to me, yet several scenes in games which normally don't affect people that much hit me right in the feels.
I always immerse myself as much as I can, so that may be part of the reason why these things get to me even though I know it's not real.
The most dangerous thing at my elementary school was an old unused outdoor stove. The school was pretty old and they might have used it for warmth during winter recesses.
I thought that Bethesda didn't include children's skeletons
Corich Cortex Their is infant skeletons....
Not in Fallout 4, but children's skeletons are all over Fallout 3. (not fresh child corpses, just skeletons)
Corich Cortex Kids skeletons can only be found in fallout 3 and new Vegas only.
Perfect spot for a mirelurk den
Illuminati Confirmed no
Illuminati Confirmed if you're gonna do it, do it right
I think what happened with the cages was that when the bombs fell, the teacher’s first reaction was to take the kids to the punishment cell to keep them safe so that they wouldn’t freak out and make a run for their houses while the teachers went to the nearby vault for help, now by that time either the teachers couldn’t get in the vault and died from radiation exposure before they could get back to the school or they saw the nuke that landed in megaton and either went in the vault immediately or if they couldn’t get in, made a run for it without looking back, leaving the children behind in the cell, thinking the nuke would go off at any second
By the way, to answer your end question, I think your analysis/theory was spot on
the sounds of distressed kids was a nice touch.
Aww, cute cat!
I remember coming into this school when I first played FO3, and damn it, it was so hard! Oxhorn comes in and just one / two shots everyone with laser weapons 🤣🤣🤣 remember just having a the pistol you get from the Overseerer and maybe a rifle. Scared sh*tless. Beautiful video as always Oxhorn!
4:33 Don't know which schools did that, but I've never been in a school where we put the desks on top of desks. Especially with the things usually still inside and all that gum and shit stuck under it that no one tends to want to mess with.
29:17 this is a tutorial on how to get DEMONETIZED
3:59 Oxhorn : Did These Raider's Kidnap And Murder A Bunch Of Children's?
My Mind : THE MAN BEHIND THE SLAUGHTER.
i always love it when Jericho says "two hits kid, two hits". he cannot be my companion but i can always call him when i need help, and then he goes back to Megaton when it is over.
the board was set up for the next month Ox not the one the bombs dropped besides I thought the bombs dropped on a saturday anyway?
November 22 is the day that JFK was assassinated.
October 23 on a Saturday morning
Lll Jjj read
"Boppo died like a jerk" 😂
Nov 22 = day before bombs? I think NOT. lol
Gus Davis October 23 on a Saturday
Gus Davis he probably noticed the error and just read it out as October seeing as follow month are very rarely posted on billboards and are mostly on terminals
I think the events went November on top and October on the bottom. Either that, or they were letting out early for Thanksgiving. Things still line up and lower events didn't list a month.
DarkDragonDave Well Thanksgiving is November 25th, over a month after the nukes dropped
Canadian Thanksgiving is in October. Who's to say that this universe didn't adopt that way?
i feel like those skeletons that were in the school were the dead bodies of all the people that died there in the aftermath of the great war and when the raiders moved in to the school they put all the skeletons in the cage
One thing I never understood about these games. Raiders decorating their homes with corpses. Dude, really? Ain't a person alive who'd wanna smell a rotting corpse in their home, savage raider or not.
Man, can’t believe I’m here watching this vid again. Amazing. You’ve came so far Ox with your UA-cam channel and the lore is amazing. 👍
right?
Fallout 3 was my first fallout game, and this was my first location to be in, I remember being so scared whenever I went in, I wouldn't even move and go back outside.
Usually I find no interest in this kind of video, but you pieced details together so logically.
At first I was thinking that the school was doing terrible things to the students, which in my head would explain the tower with barrels, school being out (because maybe they were caught), and the cages with skeletons and blood. But that wouldn't explain the overturned tables, which for that, I would say someone may have tried to defend the place at some point in time.
But I think your theory makes the most sense. I'll just go with yours.
I think this is one of the many reasons I like the Fallout series because of these mysteries that should be found out about. Most of them are crazy, unbelievable, frightening, etc. this just adds to the list of messed up things that have occurred in the story(ies) of the Fallout series
How did they even get the corpses on the ceiling?
By throwing it?
Didn’t skip leg day
Occasionally the ants pop out when his companion is talking and the subtitles make it seem like the ants are talking. Ant comes around a corner "I'm gonna fuck your shit up kid" XD
The kids making noise...screaming then gun shots is the most grizzly thing you've ever put in your vids.
When he was talking about the radioactive waste he sounded so sarcastic
Visited May 2024 playing FO3 on PS3 for 1st time after watching Fallout on Amazon. Superb school visit, I’d missed sooo much. Nice work
Ox, I think that you are spot on with how the children came to their end, but I must say that the end of the video was chilling. Keep up the great work. I really like how you tell a story even if it doesn't have a happy ending.
I find it odd that any raiders were able to erect cages of that caliber. Especially during the time right after the bombs dropped. They sleep on dirty mattresses on the floor and make crude bridges, yet they were able to construct massive cages in multiple places with complex hinges for the doors? I think something more sinister was happening at that school
I can’t remember which Fallout UA-camr said it while talking about the Fallout PRIME show; they said a child’s skellyton in the show was the franchise’s first child skeleton and clearly whoever that was didn’t play this questline
The bit in Fallout that scares me the most is those creepy schools which have a epic backstory!
Who agrees!?
By the way Ox I love your videos ❤❤
That ending was dark. I knew what was coming, but I still jumped and my heart skipped a beat.
Detention. I think they had detention and the bombs dropped, and they were spared. The children were able to get out of the detention cells and, in a panic, they quickly learmed how to make baracades- based on war books in the library. The oldest kids were the adults now.
2:20 Given the nuclear waste found literally everywhere, it's a wonder that the population wasn't already 10% ghoul before the war. Hell, I can imagine an alternate bomb-free Fallout-verse being even more radioactive and polluted just from all the dumping.
"Scab" is a derogatory term for a slave. The Pitt raiders often call the slaves "scabs".
My first memory of playing fallout 3 was entering that damn school and instantly quit the game because it creeped me out. Didnt try the game again for 2 years and fell in love with it
Sounds exactly like my relationship with Skyrim.
Me returning to springvale with Paladin Lyons and Fawkes, while equipping Power Armor: I am become death destroyer of worlds
@ 1:01
Literally explodes a human being, before calmly going back to giving a description of a building.
Completely indifferent to the fact he just rendered a man into his component atoms...
And we all call Raiders psychopaths.
29:05 is exceedingly sad, great for getting the point of the emotions though 😢
Trapping Jericho in the fence around the electrical tower made me laugh
Most people:
Post apocalyptic video game walkthrough: "Let's finish exploring this boy's bathroom."
Scab is raider slang for slaves, the Pitt raiders all called the slaves scabs. I'm guessing its referring to the fact that raider slaves are always injured and covered in scabbed-over wounds.
Has anyone considered that maybe the Buffout was brought by the raiders to make their workers stronger to help speed up the process? Like yeah you could argue that it was brought by the children or the parents gave it to their children but it just makes more sense that the raiders, hoping to speed up the mining simply gave the workers strength enhancing chems to make them work harder.
I love his voice it is so calming but it is a dark dark video
if you look at 12:50 you already know what is wrong. there is a fucking belt. you already know that shit is about to go down if there's a belt, just chilling there. R.I.P. kids.
Never clicked on a video so fast!! Been waiting for this video!
MCGamerGirl 2211 Me too. As soon as I see It!
I like your Vanoss picture
28:38. How are those streetlights working?
Oxhorn - *refuses to cuss *
Me - "oh ok it's dumb but it's probably just because of monetization-"
Oxhorn - *creates audio of a child massacre reenactment *
Me -"oh ok"
A+ Quality Oxhorn. Thanks for making these Fallout 3 Videos [ and many others ! ]In regards to the SpringVale Elementary School and the Ant Tunnel near the end of the tunnels: Not being able to jump up onto that ledge where ants come out from the top was driving me nuts. Seeing you play the game made me visit the Ant Tunnel one more time for a try. I used a combat shotgun to blast a 'barrel' from the upper floor down to the tunnel and to the foot of the high ledge. Jumped like crazy onto the barrel and still could not gain access to the upper part. In final desperation I took off all armor or clothing and deselected any weapons. On the first try I was able to jump up onto the ledge and forage the forbidden zone. I worked my way back in the unseen portions and found: Nothing of importance. BUT, that unattainable ledge had been conquered ! Yer the best Fallout 3 narrater out there.
I love the way you narrate the raider attacks. "And we get attacked by a raider!" *one hit kill*
the end clip was put together so well. good job man keep up the great work.
Wow. 29:15. That was dark......Well, I'm not sleeping tonight!
Jk. I'm tired af.
My middle school was right next to a water purification plant. Doesn’t sound so bad until we have to leave early due to a chemical spill right into the race track. Maybe not as bad as a power tower and waste dumping, but still a Bad Decision.
Loved that raider exploding in the beginning
when the kids screaming at the end and then the gunshots..... fuck.... i felt my soul fall...
I love this guys voice, he makes his voice deeper and talks slower at every sentence. It makes everything more scary
Yesss!!! Fallout 3!! It’s the freaking bomb
My Primary school (basically Australian version of elementary school) had an electrical and radio tower next to it.
When i was in elementary school we had a high voltage electric tower in the front yard(?) and it had no protection lol
Haii if your scrolling
DEATH CLAW am scrolling how are ya?
Nobody, that I’ve found, spins the stories of Fallout as well as you. I’ve played F3, New Vegas and F4 and simply played through the games for the enjoyment of the gameplay. I enjoyed the stories but never really considered them, never thought them through. You’ve made me view them all through the perspective of empathy and I thank you for that. Even for the truly terrible ones, like this. I’m glad I found you and hope for many more episodes for the future. (I’m also desperately waiting for your episodic take on the lonesome road dlc lol)
at the begining where he said the day before the bombs dropped, they had no school, i think vault tec had a hand in this...
Alright
Show of likes, *Who never went there*
The Crystal Gem I'm not going to like, but yeah never went there. Too scared early game, forgot later game
Asher Ketchup Fair enough
I never went there until the location was revealed on my map. Following the main quest line you'll never even find the building.
I hit it up right after Megaton. When the raiders out there showed up I figured there would be more weapons and armor to sell inside.
I went as a level 4 and after reading the terminal upstairs there was no way I was going to the basement.
Maybe the parents saw they were putting up a loosing fight, so they make a last stand using buffout and anything that they can find, resulting in the barricades and scattered water and equipment
There’s a vault tec letter in a letter box in Springvale addressed to the pre war Gomez family
Springvale School is simultaneously one of my favorite and least favorite locations in all of Fallout. That place is just horrifying, between the fact that it's a dark, dilapitated elementary school decorated with mangled corpses, the psychotic drugged-out Raiders calling it home, the cages full of noticeably SMALL skeletons with bloody handprints too low to be from an adult, and the ants in the basement... *shudder*.
at 22:25 first ant is like: "Oh shit, go back, go back!"
nice touch finding that leap across to the nuka cola quantum!!! I don't possess that kind of patience. I just shoot it off! Last time I had to go back later (getting old) so I used the Wazer Wifle :) It made a beautiful arc just like a mini nuke :) It's good that they don't break....
What most disturbs me about this video is how the nuka cola machine had 3 nuka cola in it and he didnt even take it
Considering there was that crater by the lake near the school, maybe it was from a bomb? If that were the case, then the radiation from the explosion might have caused the deaths of those children. Maybe they didn't make it to the basement for safety in time. Some of the houses are a little far from the building, so maybe the ones closer to Megaton were the ones that didn't make it. I just think that crater may have something to do with it.
Oh my god 6:13 killed me ! I love the dumb funny shit that happens in these games
"hahaha-"
*pew*
"OOOooa"
(in the far distance)
"hearing those damn noises again."
Heh, the same people erected that high voltage tower must have built the real ones next to the nearby middle school here.
