It's the fascist twisted paradox where the "enemy is both weak and strong at the same time". They talk about women like they're the enemy, not humans, or even companions. They also completely fail to realize what life is like for the average woman. I mean "average" woman, and not the model-type women that these men keep pretending represent the "average woman". Also came to mind, that ironically, it's always these men chasing the so called "top 20%" of women, but they act like these are just average women.
The actually average girl starts getting harassed and leered at by 50 year old men when she turns 11, then she goes through awkward teenage years like everyone else, maybe she gets acne, maybe needs braces, maybe she's popular with boys, maybe she's ignored by everybody, really depends on if she's charismatic or good-looking. She might get a date or two eventually. Then when she goes to bars, there's occasionally likely to be a handful of guys during her life who offer to buy her a drink or two, often with creepy or aggressive tendencies attached or just mundane conversation that she's not feeling when she wants to hangout with her friends. Meanwhile, she spends much of her life paranoid about being attacked, being stalked, sexism, sexual harassment etc. It can be difficult to find fulfilling relationships, but on the bright side, there's usually going to be some kind-of-average looking guy who's willing to have 5-10 minutes of mediocre sex, which comes with a risk of pregnancy, single motherhood, and apparently a risk to her reputation, because even attempting to enjoy some sex is apparently some "horrible sin" to the society around her. On top of this her reproductive control to abortion etc. is often controlled and regulated by men in power, and she has to be anxious about it every time she takes a chance with a guy.
And then... that's kind of it from the "privilege" department. So, how many men would like to trade a million dollars for that? The average woman sure is as rich as a millionaire huh?
It's easy to mock this idea. It's wrong, of course, but I don't think it comes from any kind of malice. It's a flaw of information-gathering and lack of understanding of what the experience of women is. It's due to men seeing the potentially huge benefits women (especially attractive ones) can get, but without any experience of the disadvantages of being a woman in society. I'm a guy who knows that, on average, women have objectively fewer opportunities than men, but I still catch myself thinking (for example) that it's easier for a woman to be a youtuber than it is for a man. Until I remember stats like 9 of the top 10 youtubers are men.

I will also point out a higher risk of unwanted and potentially dangerous attention that attractive women face (over attractive men)... So I would still argue that being an attractive man (having less disadvantages) would still be the preferable position in modern society.
Id agree except for adult entertainment. In which case being an attractive women is much more advantageous than a man since the target demographic is primarily straight males, the demand is much higher.
Other than that, in society, yes being an attractive man is much more preferable. Because most people, an overwhelming majority never will plan or pursue that sort of career.

If the number of attractive males in the industry were to even out. It might actually attract more female and gay male viewers. Potentially altering the "Target demographic" of the industry.

Anonymized public data available from the largest site (we all know the name) also supports this. I think that using attractive male models in a larger proportion of productions is probably a missed opportunity.
