Stumbled across your channel earlier today and have been binge watching and have been already relearning what I used to do and learning new things. Used to fish river smallies religiously and have been needing too go out and fish for some lake smallies
I’m not even close to be being as good as a smallmouth guy as you but my favorite hook is the Owner hook. Great video Travis thanks ! And that gas price behind you sucks ! It’s coming down a little here finally.
@@travelingman1983 I don’t use the high-speed pick up. I just fill the Livewell in the morning. Keep it on recirculate and put a bunch of ice in there all day.
Really appreciate your content.. why such a large weight for your aqua vu? Just got a micro 5.0 and waiting for ice out to play with it in open water. Is there an advantage to a larger weigh? What do you have on yours?
Is that white color pallet on the livescope easier to see fish close to bottom than the sepia or green? I use the regular sepia most of the time but it’s hard to see fish hugging the bottom. Wondering if there’s an advantage to the white background and color pallet.
I would have a hard time using anything else....but its all about your eyes and what is comfortable. What stands out for you. I have others that come in my boat and cant stand that color
I would guess his port is Cape Vincent, and he fishes either Ontario, Henderson/Chaumont Bays, or the St. Lawrence. At least, that's what I would do if I were him.
Really liked the graphing part. But, you lost me as soon as your back turned and I was watching you stare into a screen with a drop shot rod in your hand. So boring.
What a spectacular weather day. A gift.

Thanks!
Good video as usual, you are blessed to be able to fish those waters like you do...well at least in the summer. Winter is a different story
i enjoyed watching the searching/graphing parts.
Nice job of breaking it all down Travis.
Great show you had great weather that day 🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍

The ichikawa CT-5 drop shot hook #1 size is a stellar hook. Best DS hook I have ever used.
You are blessed with big smallies. 5s 6s…wall mounts for most folks.
love the electronics stuff
Great video Travis, I really like the short shorts bub 🤭
Very good. You don't get that many nice day out there to do that. Yes the hardest thing is to not fish while you are doing that
You make it look soo easy. I'm dying to get out on deeper water to try my graphs. The susky is crazy low.
Good fishing vid Trav 😁👍
I like those Ryugi hooks
Great video great content !
Do you think it makes that much difference using the braid, plus leader. Not just use mono
With the high speed livewell pickup how do you keep you livewell water cool for smallmouth in the Caymas?
@@travelingman1983 I don’t use the high-speed pick up. I just fill the Livewell in the morning. Keep it on recirculate and put a bunch of ice in there all day.
@@SmallmouthCrush I didn't know you could keep that from happening.
What bait were you using for the Walleyes?
Great video
Can you suggest good drop shot rods

I prefer the larger weight in deep water to get down fast. Also helps when dealing with a lot of current
@@SmallmouthCrush what size?
Do you graph during derbies or just run to waypoints
How does the 6’10 m rod handle a 5/8 dropshot weight, or do you go up to a mh rod for weights over 1/2 oz?
1/4 oz weight 20 feet down feels like a dumbbell
I love it with a 5/8 or any size drop shot for that matter
@@SmallmouthCrush I want to talk to you but not like this I have some questions
Right on thanks! Do you ever go more than 5/8 for dropping on them? Wind and conditions I’m assuming would dictate this?

I am glad l don’t have to get gas there 3.09 here in Kentucky 😂😂😂
What lake are you on ?
Ontario

Thanks for the feedback and expect more videos soon. Send me a text above have something for you….🥰🥰
👍
What knot do you use on your hook for drop shottting?
A polymer knot is the only knot you can use for a drop shot set up 99.9% sure !
@@johnm2617 Not true UA-cam it !
nice video man! l upload fishing videos in my channel too!

So you really like the graphing but the few seconds of back time while fighting fish ruined it for you. I can see you are a blauket disciple.
