I think you're reading into it...Qrow is an alcoholic, lonely, traumatized veteran of many battles and has seen the deaths of many of his friends and family. His closest friends have been Tai Long, Yang's And Ruby's father, and a several thousand year old wizard, so he's not to close to anyone. A man needs "buddies," close friends with mutually shared experiences. When you are a veteran, a loner due to personality and a Bad Luck semblance; you aren't going to let many get close to you, because in war you lose people. That's why so many veterans commit suicide and or have drug and or alcohol issues...they have so few people to support them that understand their issues. But you would still want, and need, a friend with similar experiences. As both a first responder and veteran, I know. You can only carry so much sh** in your sh**bucket before it gets too full and slips over messing up your life. Remember Ironwood's and Qrow's embrace? Ironwood is in the same boat. You need someone to help you carry your sh**bucket and empty it out every so often or it will drown you!
The yellow bit on Blake's weapon now, besides being gay as hell, is also an old fancy way of repairing things called kintsugi! Kintsugi is basically taking the pieces of something broken and mending them back with gold. It's very neat and you should look up like kintsugi vases because they're gorgeous
“Neo hasn’t done anything....” X to doubt Is it too much to ask for heels to stay heels? Anyway, solid episode. I really liked the upgrades I can’t wait to see them used later on.
One of the things I notice a lot of people get on about is the belief that ALL faunus can see in the dark, however the show has shown this to clearly not be the case. In fact, it's more apparently that the faunus who have the trait of seeing in the dark are the ones who's animal bases have this ability to some degree or another. The biggest point to that is that dogs in general are not blessed with super visual prowess. In fact, it's a dog's sense of smell that's their most defined sense.
I love how you thought Vine was with Elm... I sure hope they're, they're cute together. "Shut up, you fucking banana brick-" pfft, these are some great and, wise words. 14:38, "-little gay..." haha. I honestly thought Elm was Mama Bear when I first saw her, she gives off mom vibes but, then I realized "The Elm and the Vine" I love her and, Vine so much, Vine especially. My reaction seeing that guy die in the ending "Aw, I liked you... oh, well-". Those jumpscares had me first jumping so hard I flipped my phone out of my hand and, second yelling "Geez, Tyrian-" I love my scorpion boy but, gosh my heart... I went back to replay it and, laughed at my good sneaky boy( also, out of all my predictions, I really think Tyrian is going to die this volume, he seems to be the strongest of Salem's team in my opinion but, I'm not too sure and, perhaps Watts after but, I don't think Watts is dying this volume for some reason.)
@@Merilirem I have a theory that Clover is a Salem mole... because of his luck his never been caught, but Qrow's semblance will lead to him being found out. Probably after Clover fatally betrays his team planning to blame it on Qrow.
Not-so-serious Theory: Raven showed up at Tai's place for a booty call. They're still in bed having a smoke after two seasons of happy time. She'll just abandon him later, like she always does. #abandonmentissues
I doubt we will see Neo and Cinder just from a timeline stance. To our understanding unless RT did give a specific timeline for the group or if someone else has figured it out. They started 2 weeks after voulme 5 then from boarding the train to the crash to Argus was maybe 2 days then they probably took 3-5 days on their plan to steal the airship then to Atlas was still the same day then we had the week time skip this episode. So that at best puts them now 3 weeks after voulme 5 and that's still 1 week before we first see Cinder then she waits 1 week before Neo shows up then they still need to get a airship they will need to land far out in the tundra just so they don't show up on Atlas scanners then walk to Mantle so I'll say all that will come to 2-3 weeks max since their powerful. But as I said I don't know if RT released a timeline for Ruby and the rest or if someone else has figured it out but I had to make numbers based off of what we say and what is logical so in my ruff timeline the group is still 1 week before we see Cinder for the first time so without another time skip this volume I doubt we'll see them. Sorry for my very long and possibly very wrong comment.
Puts the slapping noise over every time Hunter gets patted at by Cal Edit: I kind of get the whole 'why's team RWBY so astonished by the ACE OPS, these kids have fought so many things before', but I think it's just to show like. How little communication was needed between the two teams. Where Rwby stopped and Ruby questioned 'how're we going to get rid of this thing', AO's didn't hesitate for a second. I found that interesting.
Well, before anything, I just have to say...you have a *_Gibson Les Paul_* guitar and you never use it?? Bro, I may not be a musician but I'm pretty sure that thing's expensive. But... _Ahem_ Anyway, back to the video. Like you, I've been pretty much captivated by the light show-and by that, I mean the fight showcases. This kind of big scene of well-oiled teamwork coupled with their fighting styles/skills was something I missed in the earlier volumes and _it's even better here._ With the updated graphics, effects and cinematography, the Ace Ops really impressed me. Although, as awesome as this was, I think the kids' fight against the Nevermore/Deathstalker would still be higher up, if only for the hype and nostalgia alone. Also because, the sequence went so much quicker in the mines that I didn't know how to process everything that's happening in one go. Then again, it's not like this series hasn't done that before... That being said, my favorite pair from the Ace Ops so far is Harriet and Marrow. I really dig their designs, semblances and weapons-Marrow moreso because whenever I imagine what my weapon would be in this universe, I always figured it'd be something like Emerald's or his, in that they can both be long and short-ranged blades. Yo, and wolfie boy is apparently not a wolf at all, but I think you already know that. As for the luck semblance thing...a bunch of theories have already come up about it being connected to the users state of mind than it is a specification of "bad" or "good" and a lot of people have also pegged Clover and Qrow to neutralize each other but here's my take on it: Qrow's semblance affect other people and the environment and sometimes that manifests in a way that makes _him_ susceptible to bad luck as well (I dunno, like maybe his alarm clock not working when he needed to wake early, ergo bad luck to *it* biting him back), so with that out of the way, what does "good" luck for Clover entail? I mean, it could just be as simple as strengthening his own chances, but then it could also mean taking the advantage away from others-basically with the geist getting crushed by rubble vs him getting saved. So yeah, what I'm getting at is what if that stone Qrow tripped on *wasn't* his bad luck, but actually Clover's good luck affecting him instead? Because when you think about it, there isn't really such a thing as "good" or "bad" luck, just their perspective on it.
Yea they can definitely work better than team RWBY (Considering ruby and Blake have never really interacted with each other and Blake and yang are together most of the time)
Before the Volume started, I initially wished for a variation in soundtrack either through style or guest singers, and while it hasn't had a change that drastic yet, I really do like the songs so far. Both the opening and the song at their landing strategy ( _callback woohoo!_ ) are very much on the side of... light-hearted? Uplifting? Although I found myself looking for a specific character motif/instrument when that piano played at Blake's part for some reason, haha. Maybe it's because each character had an instrument in Steven Universe and I subconsciously looked for it here? Well, whatever. Just hope the rest of the ost turns out good...still waiting for a guest singer to pop up.
Clover: My semblance is good fortune
Qrow: **gay panic**
I wouldn't say it makes Qrow gay, more potentially Bi. Much like Yang and Blake have both shown interest in men and each other.
ThebreadthatcausedLesMis
Isn’t everyone in RWBY Bi in a way?
@@Zack_Zander Not Ruby, who is attracted to Crescent Rose

I never would have guessed that. It's a cool connection though. :)

What if Yang and Ruby come back home to a little brother/sister🥴😂
I can see that happen.
So like...Marco Jr??
The lowest volume on my computer is still not low enough, lol.
The SDC logo on the crate was reminding yang and Blake of adam
The mine explosion was the one that killed Ilia's parents I think..
Clover “ Old and extremely dangerous”
Hunter “Old and grumpy”
clover flirting with qrow was hella hot
I had that same reaction when Tyrian appeared, legit serial killer moment.

Well she for sure killed less people on screen than team RWBY
I mean people were saying the same kinda thing about Adam. It means very little as far as "heel or not" goes.

I feel your guys' hype, just didn't have anyone next to me to share it with-

Ha, Yang conflicted?
She did the same thing with concealing the fact her mom is the Spring Maiden
That was completely different. What Yang did was entirely emotional with no tactical considerations involved.
Just like how they told JNR about Raven being Yangs Mom off screen >_> She probably told them
usually I worry about Hunter going home with bruises from Cal hitting him. I didn't expect him to crotch himself.
