Great conversation. Like the part were y'all guys spoke about giving new kids in the block an opportunity to showcase their talent. I just think the South African industry as a whole is just saturated by the same people occupying different fields, and if we could give young and upcoming creatives a chance we could go far. I also think it's time as Africans we took out local brands serious. If we can't take our own brands seriously, no one else will. I also feel like you guys have the potential to create/ start your own type of fashion week with all the ideas y'all guys have been discussing and looking for young fresh talent. I feel a whole lot of young people would support the idea.
A great blend of narratives and perspectives executed on this episode, South African Brands are definitely worth it, especially if a collaborative effort is considered, local and upcoming brands could go far, if they all decide to work towards the same communal goal.
Honestly have been craving such initiatives from creatives and artists interested in fashion and this is an inspiration for us to keep going. You don’t even know what you’ve started for fashion intrigued. 🤝💕this is huge.
I like that Taylor example of how teacher's in primary would tell you to cover your work, we basically being taught to make it as individuals and not as collectives, it's like we taking the same test now and PEOPLE are not sharing codes. So most people are not init for collaborations per say, it's really not good for building a community. I'd love to see more of these conversations happening. S/o team.

I agree with the point made that creatives should collaborate more
Fashion week in SA should accommodate more upcoming brands and designers, especially the youth
