A Quiet Place: Day One is a 2024 American apocalyptic horror film written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, based on a story he conceived with John Krasinski. It is the third installment in the A Quiet Place film series, serving as a spin-off and prequel to the first film. The film stars Lupita Nyong'o as a terminally ill woman during the beginning stages of an invasion in New York City by extraterrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing. Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou, reprising his role from the second film, play supporting roles.

I watched this movie last night and I love it. I almost skipped this movie because I don't really care for the previous 2. This is much better, barely any children and a whole lot of cat ❤

Saw it yesterday and I really enjoyed the movie! This movie had me holding my breathe constantly and my anxiety was through the roof! Lupita ATE! And the guy from Stranger Things was good too! Overall enjoyed this movie! I have seen all three, but don't really remember the second movie other than I didn't like it.
i watched this in cinema and surprisingly the moviegoers are behave and quiet, no munching noise or whispering.
I don't think this movie should be called a "prequel". it's just a different perspective.

I saw it last night. Thanks for explaining it was filmed in London - I wondered about the length of the stairs into the subway. One part I had a problem with was the whispering inside the church and no monster!
London for sure. Director said London has a similar vibe to New York. Similar but it ain’t the same, bud!
That’s because the water was swooshing in that hole they popped up in the church
I want to support the movie because as always we root for anybody black. I just don’t really do thrillers, or aliens.
Side note I am going to New York for the first time in a couple of weeks, can’t wait to see what the hype is all about.

I liked it. It wasn't scary the way i thought it would. However....You know how scary it is to confront death and be vulnerable and find love even though the end is near ..... 😢 a few more seconds

@@TaitsTake ok so I saw it. It’s not bad….just not as strong as the first two. I didn’t have any expectations anyway so maybe that helped. I saw a matinee and don’t regret going.
OMG! My main issues were at the end. They had to do the whole self sacrificial black woman trope and wrote her as terminally to do it. Why not let her get on the boat too and die in comfort 😭 They really wanted that ending. It also seemed like Eric didn’t care that she sacrificed herself. No plea. No emotion. No nothing. It literally almost completely destroyed his character in my opinion, it made it feel like he was only helpful ultimately for that moment, but we know that isn’t true either. Just weird

I noticed the death angel’s don’t eat humans. They created an epic center to harvest their feeding ground. Were they human remains?? I want to go back and rewatch it.

Yea. Surprised to hear they filmed in London. It looked like a studio backlot. I was ready to love it like I did the first two but it was just ok. Sound was incredible in Dolby Atmos but I’d say save ur money and wait for it to come to streaming.
