A Tourist's Guide to Love | Official Trailer | Netflix
/ @netflix
Work brings an American travel executive to Vietnam, where a free-spirited tour guide helps open her eyes to a beautifully adventurous way of life.
Yessss! The world needs to know how wonderful Vietnam is. Period.
agreed. periodt❤
What is there in Vietnam actually? Except for the food.
Yes. Most times we only hear about drugs, sex trafficking etc
@@maniacram the landscape, people and more things to find out man. Everything is good except bad people, and more, but our country is still one of the countries you should visit. Trust me bro, you won't regret that

"A tourist wants to escape life, a traveler wants to experience it"....wow wasn't expecting to get hit by a soul rattling truth from a Netflix romcom trailer 🤯
deep? that shit is literally the opposite.
Stopped me!
Can't I be both?
😂😂😂
LOVE WAR.
I love how Southeast Asian got represented. I’m not Vietnamese but cannot stop smiling for seeing Vietnam got put on the map like this now.
Yes thank you! Southeast Asia represents!
And communist
@@MT-zy8el communist on paper, most of us dont know what "communist" represents, ironically
@@MT-zy8el communist but still feel more free in Vietnam over the states....

Cheesy but charming.
Loved that it was set in Vietnam. I'm a Filipino (who has visited Vietnam), and as a South East Asian, they did a good job of capturing the character and vibe of the region - the durian scene and dealing with traffic/crossing the street were a nice touch. The grandma and her house reminded me of my own grandma years back!
Key element was present too: the lead characters had good chemistry. Fun watch!
Glad to see more Asian actors in all types of movie roles.
They've been doing it since the beginning of Hollywood during the silent film era but society had always suppressed and kept the community down
We already doing it for many long time ago from chinese, korean, japanese, filipino & many more asian actor. We have so many lading lady too including olivia rodrigo & vanessa hudgen who are mixed filipino.
@@qwertyasdfgh-dm6cs this is more Asian Amercian representation not Asian actors from Asian countries from this movie. Scott is Asian American actor
@@leonardo5893 He has the looks that Americans like to cast in movies and TV. Always this type of face. In Asia people gravitate more towards someone like "Luke Ishikawa Plowden" who's also an Asian American that currently is acting in Thailand.
Yes, I'm so glad they cast an asian for a vietnamese role!😱 I was afraid they would take a caucasian actor🫣
finally, more representations for Vietnamese.
yesss!!! and the location looks amazing! I'm Vietnamse-American and I am so happy to see this!
@@RWRogers You are literally complaining from the place known as the melting pot of different cultures. Plenty of Vietnamese speak English but it's not their main language? And name me 5 other movies shot in Vietnam that isn't about the damn war.
For once, let Vietnamese and Vietnamese Americans get their overdue recognition
UA-cam censors speech even worse than in China I think.
@@RWRogers Someone recommended Mr. Queen to me and it was so hilarious. Now I'm a fan of Korean series. I'm watching Crash Landing On You and the same person recommended Business Proposal saying it's also hilarious.
You should check out Beef 😁
Other people said this movie is so cheesy and bad selections of actors/actresses but for me this is exciting! Love that they're featuring Vietnamese and more Asian cultures!
Vietnam is breathtaking but the main actress was a drag, they should have chosen differently, it just wasn’t a good fit. Can’t see such a free spirit fall for such an uptight type either.
Agree, never trust people's reviews on a film until watch it ourself.
I loved this movie it was so cute, and the cinematography was so beautiful. I appreciated that the actor was Vietnamese, making the film more authentic as well as provided more representation for male Asian characters in film as well as culturally depicted social aspects correctly (Ancestor worship for their afterlife and aspects of family and coming home for celebrations for new year and welcoming the new for the new year).
he is Vietnamese-American and doesn't speak Vietnamese fluently
@@TrangNguyen-bm5uj still good representation imo
Can I watch this with my bf on a movie date ?
@@TrangNguyen-bm5ujyeah but it’s still good representation regardless. Charles Melton played a pure Korean American in the sun is also a star even though he’s not pure he can still pass as a pure cuz he’s more Asian-passing
Already seen the film. It’s lit. I’m a Vietnamese who lives abroad for over 5 years. I really miss Vietnam (especially my bà nội 😅😅) after watching it.
Many thanks to Netflix for bringing the beauty of my country to the world.

It's the kind-of romance that's been done a thousand times but the scenery looks breathtaking. I will watch for that alone
I am 36 years born in France from a Vietnamese mother, I can’t believe I never traveled to my motherland.
Watching this movie will change that

You definitely should
I'm a black woman and I'm happy to see more Asians guys in movies.
Wow how amazing of you.. Pat yourself on the back for writing that down.
@Soheyl Kian she means yellow men. Oriental guys. Not you lol.

I’m so happy to see an Asian Man as the main Love interest in a movie , I define supporting this , they are some of the hottest group of men and people are finally waking up 😍😍
Well said!
Remember that guy in Crazy Rich Asians
We tend to not get that much praise unfortunately, lol.
This was a diversity quota thing, like when they cast someone black as a token.
@@Timothee_Chalamet_CMBYN wow with the negativity. This is a movie about a vacation to VIETNAM, who and what did you expect them to cast? Tokenism is if they put, I dunno, say like a White guy in the role since that’s not what you would expect in a movie about a VIETNAMESE family business giving tours in VIETNAM. 🙄🙄🙄
Wonderful scenes! But the fact is tourism quality in Vietnam is not so good unless you chose a reliable tourism company or better to find a local friend so that you'd have the best travelling experience. Vietnam is truly a hidden gem and I wish you all feel the same when exploring my country ❤.
Off topic! U can go now!
Vietnam doesn’t need you to come here with this stupid saying
You don't need a tour company. 90% of young people there speaks English. Like the movie says, don't be a tourist be a traveler.
its not good because your family always booked a worse one to save money. I have travelled a lot through out Vietnam for either work and vacation and its a difference to stay in branded resorts than a personal local who builds a stay to make a living, of course there is a differences in spending and qualities of services.
@@minhnhuttrieu7143how the hell is that off topic? The movie is literally about a woman tourist visiting Vietnam and thats what the person wrote about so no, NOT off topic 🤦♀️
My family is Vietnamese and we did the same trip. It was so beautiful and emotional to me revisit those places and experience again! More movies in Vietnam Netflix Please!
Finally a movie about the real Vietnam... the beautiful country and it's incredible places!! ...and food.
This is by far the best love story I’ve seen in so so long. I was left speechless with its execution, sites, story, characters. 👏
❤❤same here 😂😂😂😂right the bessst
I love Rachael Leigh Cook! Great actress.
Absolutely loved this movie and the girl playing Amanda Reilly has the most beautiful, sincere and emotional eyes. This film hit me in the heart, I totally know now I need to travel and get back the soul in my life.x
"i wasn't actually lost, i just wasn't where i was supposed to be" WAUW! this is exactly what i feel right now.
OMG I recently went to Vietnam, partly inspired by this movie. Absolutely loved it!! It has so much to offer from scenic landscapes , beautiful beaches, rich culture and history to party places and city views. Not to mention, some of the most heart-warming people ❤ Add it to your travel list for 2024, it is an experience!
Watched it, it's a 1hr 30min tourist ad for Vietnam, but I wasn't complaining, Vietnam is beautiful. Nature, food & people = ❤️
Visited Vietnam in 2014. It was a once in a lifetime experience - the most fun I've ever had. This movie perfectly captured some of the highlights of my trip. Loved this film!
Great to see a Vietnamese actor be in the lead role!
Vietnam is a beautiful country, kind people and amazing landscapes. Welcome to Vietnam ^^
Vietnam looks awesome in this movie, wow
This is exactly my stories with my TG in Vietnam 😢 now i miss him a lot. Thanks for making movie like this. Means a lot to me 🤍
My fiancee and I just watched this on Netflix. They did such a good job on showcasing the beauty of Vietnam.
Ok Netflix, now you need to make this a series. Give us a rom-com in Thailand, in Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapur, Philippines, Indonesia, etc. Take us away to South east Asia!!
PS: And then Central ans South America!!
I never thought of it that way.🤔 A tourist wants to escape life, a traveler wants to experience it. I need to get my ass moving and experience life.
Just watched the film and absolutely worth it every second... I'm feeling grateful for this movie, non-cap!!
I didn't realize its Rachael Leigh Cook not until her name flashed on the screen.. She's one of my fave actressess and it's so nice to see her again on the big screen.
One of the best feel good movies ive seen in a while ! This movie is BEAUTIFUL !!!
Bro, she stays in resorts and hotels, she is DEFINITELY a tourist.
At the beginning she came off as a tourist as it's her job to scout tourism location. I got a feeling later she'll be experiencing more of the local secret stuff with the love interest. All in due time. Didn't you see the scenes where she goes to meet some villagers?
Watch the movie. If for no other reason, to see the beautiful landscape in Vietnam
lol just watch the movie , it 's not like what you think
yah :))
The fact that Jamie Lannister was recently in VN for his holiday and riding electric motorbikes shows that Vietnam is an attractive and adventurous destination.
You mean the actor playing Jamie lannister. Lol imagine Jamie lannister in Vietnam riding electric motorbikes
@@dmal3555 with one hand. 😅
Err shouldn't he be riding a horse? How's his hand? Is it still golden?
another trailer that tells the whole story
Honestly even if they didn't, you'd still know all there is to know about this movie with the amount of times this storyline has been duplicated
I know but i still love it.
Well, with a rom-com movie like this we're all know how the story ends, but we still love to see it.
Same old garbage....s Shameless women cosying up with two man acting innocent saying iam testing water but in reality she is characterless
you know....some times its not about the plot, but experiencing the story? Like how many times have you rewatched your favorite movie even though you already know the plot? probably a lot of times. You don't have to always watch a riveting plot driven movie. Sometimes its just experiencing what the characters are going through while they're going through it?
Vietnam has been on the top of my list for so long. Also loved his definition of a tourist vs traveler. So true.
Watched and loved it! So glad that I get to experience Vietnam by living here for 2 and a half years, there’s so much to do and see ❤
I highly recommend going to these cities in this show and Phu Quoc, Sapa, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Da Lat, Can Tho, Nha Trang, Vung Tau are the cities I liked :)
The more I see things about Viet Nam, the more I am falling in love with this country 🥺
And the communists! Come on people, it is a communist country
Hello my friends, I will soon be 73 years old and I was in the war with that country called Vietnam. But I believe the past is the past and it’s good to see that their country has strong roots and lots of patriotism. From an old warrior stay thirsty my friends.
That dude is ridiculously good looking. Excellent chance a tour guide who looks like that absolutely cleans up among the tourists he guides. Exciting new locale, charming tour guide, “vacation” mindset . . .
my neighbor in homeland is a tour guide and he's very good looking and charming, of course it has to be one in several millions
In love with that movie...and the sights just touched my heart...wooow
although the plot was not too special, I loved how they tried to include the vietnamese culture as far as possible for a movie within just 1-2 hours. Vietnam was not portrayed as some asian country but actually showed what it's special for in a not too cliche or cringe way. Also need to mentiontion that the grandma is just sooo cool
Omg, im so pround because im Vietnamese. Cant wait to watch this movie.🎉❤
I've missed seeing Rachael Leigh Cook on the big screen, and I'm delighted that she's back with a new project!
I'm like obsessed with this movie. I love the Asian element to it since I love all things Asian (I've been to South Korea). I'm so happy that they've brought more attention Vietnam, an Asian country that's not mentioned all that much, and I love the actors they chose. Rachael Leigh Cook was a perfect choice for the main female lead, and Scott Ly was perfect for the male lead. He's hasn't been in a leading role in a movie as far as I know. This is such a cute movie. Highly recommended for Asia lovers as well as romcom lovers 💗💗💗💗
Vietnam is one of my favorite countries I ever visited! I recognized quite a few locations here 😁
Much better than some big budget movies that come out this year from the same genre! Good job Rachael
Very refreshing to see an AMWF romance movie.
Really enjoyed it.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND THE SOUNDTRACKS like it's so refreshing and cute
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie! With so many "love stories" out there...I really enjoyed this one. I'm happy that the movie avoided the crazy tourist area while still managing to produce a good film.
Great romance and beautiful too for Rachael Leigh Cook! 😂❤❤❤
I'm so happy to see Rachael again.
I just want another two seasons of 1899 Netflix. Just give me that. You're overcompensating while all the fans need is simple as that.
Rachel Leigh Cook is the cutest 🥰
So... is this like Eat Love Pray? ...yeah are we gonna watch it??... Hell Yeah!!!
Rachel Cook! Wow where has she been? She still looks great
1:49. Wow this scene looks beautiful. LOVE all the colored lanterns on the water/in the boats ✨
It’s in Hoi An and it’s real!!!!
I love that it didn't zag to Hawaii or Miami, FL but zigged all the way to Vietnam. AND an Asia love interest!
Eat, pray, love vibes is here 👌💖
Married with american women is a dream of lifetime❤ done watching, love this movie and ost also great 🎉
Watched it today, it was really good. I expected a 6/10 but it was actually a 9/10.
This one is definitely on my wish list to watch
Asian guy is finally a love interest with an American girl. This is our time my brothers.
❤
only if Rachel ends this movie with the Asian guy, has kiss scenes with him from this then yes would agree with this
YES Yes Yes more Vietnamese representation
@ComedyTV LOL Not another war movie. been there done that
Vietnam without that Cold War baggage!
I am Vietnamese and also an English speaking tour guide as well as run several tour groups for my company. I rate this movie as "Emily in Vietnam", it's completely realistic about the Vietnamese landscape and some Vietnamese living customs.
As for the service quality of Vietnam tourism as shown in the movie, it is completely wrong, especially the tour guide in the movie, too irresponsible and amateur.
The attractions in the movie have too much of a story to tell, but the movie makes it too superficial. Thank you that through this movie you can come to Vietnam and we will tell you more about those attractions.
I strongly agree that the airport staff do a pretty bad job, it's true and I'm afraid of them as well, but the bad service of other services like in the movie is completely wrong.
If you still like Vietnam after watching the movie, come to us now, you will have a lot more wonderful experience in the movie.
Although I criticized a lot, I still support the movie. This may be a premise for Vietnam to welcome more Hollywood film crews to our country.
Thank you so much. Welcome to Vietnam 🇻🇳
Just watched it and it was actually really good! Great sets, great cast, great pace and music!
I am glad to see that Hollywood now has more Asian actors and actresses in leading roles. Times have certainly changed since the 80s.
As a Vietnamese, I cant wait to enjoy this movie!!! Yayyy
Love the representation where we aren’t just kung fu masters or comedic relief. America might just be evolving
What a beautiful film ...there was a real chemistry between the actors 😎
Well that was short n cute ❤
Seems like a good movie to watch with my friends
Loving how Hollywood is making up for lost time and making Asian leading men happen.
I think it's an indie studio, not Hollywood.
@@mcgibsHollyweird isn't the liberal, tolerant, progressive place people often think it is! In fact, they are quite behind the times in various ways!

I loved how the vietnamese culture was presented in the movie ❤❤
Rachael Cook does not look 43! She's so beautiful
This is “Amanda in Vietnam” the sequence of Emily in Paris
Wish we could've seen more of her on Criminal Minds. Her character was good for Reid.

This is a great rom-com. Great soundtrack.
Yes, it's predictable and sometimes corny, BUT WHY have I watched it 4 times AND the last half hour TEN times. Heart throb Scott Ly and wise Rachel! 🤣🤣🤣
I loved this movie even if I hate seeing so many people getting botox and plastic surgery when they’re beautiful already. Cute movie. I’d see it again.
Ok this is so adorable! Definitely watching this!
I have seen this film over and over and over and over. Its such an amazing film on Netflix. I am literally blown away of this movie. I enjoy very much!!! ❤ love it!
I visited Vietnam in 2022. It was a very nice trip.
I'm Vietnamese, Vietnam is very beautiful, there are a lot to see 😉
It is so wonderful Vietnam. Cant wait to see this movie.
Watched this movie yesterday and it touched me because I had been to Vietnam 4 weeks ago. What I always don’t like about those movies is, that it’s empty everywhere. No crowds, no other tourists. As a result people travel to those countries and see how touristy they are. Happens to me with eat pray love and Bali. So be aware: Vietnam is only a secret gem for western and American people. But Koreans and other Asian countries LOVE Vietnam, so it is really crowded. Plus: it’s mentioned 2 times in the film but nobody’s ever seeing sweating. In fact it’s freaking hot in Vietnam. I was dripping wet most of the time. So I. The end it was an diverting movie but please don’t expect the reality in Vietnam to be like this. Nevertheless I love it there (had been my third time four weeks ago) Vietnam is loud and hot and exhausting und the chance is good to get diarrhoea 😅. Thank god they have good doctors, too. 😬

I smile a lot while watching this movie… now we can see how beautiful and rich culture of southeast Asia with Love..
1 year old!
A tourist wants to escape life while a traveler wants to live it, sometimes it's better to be impulsive and go off the beaten path
Rachel Leigh Cook is fantastic here being a woman going outside her comfort zone and beyond her limitations in life
Scott Ly is wonderful as well opening her up to new experiences and cultural perspectives
A basic story you already know and can predict but harmless escapism and the Vietnam landscape offers a breath of fresh air for exotic experiences
A journey in another country can open up possibilities to love and life
Welp, at least this has me a little interested in seeing the whole movie. Mainly because Vietnam representation almost never happens.
@ComedyTV should have to do something because it's owed. Should just done for something beautiful and different
