Break-away point exists when there exists multiple poles on the real axis. Break in point exists whn multiple zeros or real axis. And a special case is., "if the angle of departure of the complex poles is 90 degrees., they come across each other and split away at a point which is complex breakaway point" its not mandate that break-away and break-in points to be calculated in every root locus problem
