I have shot air rifle competitions for 20 years and the wind is always a major factor, but wind like that can be a killer. Your performance in that wind with that FX is impressive! Keep up the good work and great shooting!! Well done. 👍
Thanks I appreciate it I have put a lot of time behind this rifle. And I’ve been getting very effective in wind recently. I do a lot of dialing before matches for constant winds and use small holds to compensate or fine tune. I have to give a shoutout to Applied Ballistics they are absolute life saver for this sport. It’s extremely impressive what these Kestrels are capable of producing data wise when changing conditions are factored in.
@@Competitiveairgunning - I also have a Kestrel and Applied Ballistics I'm using for my Panthera. Looks to be the best way to go for sure! I've always generated my own ballistic cards in the past with a proprietary software a buddy of mine created years ago. But, it does not take environmental issues into account and has to be adjusted when changing elevations.
@@haroldrushton6735 it’s hard to justify the cost but as you start learning more and more features it becomes a lifeline. I use to do data cards and found out quickly how far my data would be off. I plan on doing a quick video on it before to long to over some of the basics and what I use most.
@@Competitiveairgunning - I agree! I remember shooting a World Championship match in Norway once and my data was nowhere near correct. I'm sure now that it was the elevation and temperature causing the issues. I'll definitely be using a Kestrel for my Panthera.
@@haroldrushton6735 how far do you travel for competitions? Will have to try meet and squad up at a match one of these days. Are you going to be shooting primarily NRL or PRS?
Nice work out there 👍
Well done👍
