- 2004 Documentary on the late great majestical genius that was John Martyn titled "Johnny Too Bad". Sorry about the qualitity of the vid but it was the best available copy. All rights belong to the respective owners of the said material.
Ian, you have given me so much pleasure, release and beauty. It's just such a shame you had your own demons to battle but I guess we wouldn't have the music you made. You remind me so much of my brother, another loon who died at 52 & from his own drug use. He introduced me to your music. I know you are truly free now
British music legend for sure.
I love John's music.
He certainly was a talented artist ☺️
Thank you for the comments. For some reason this documentary went out of circulation for a while but a friend had a copy along with some early John Martyn albums which I hope to also upload in the near future. Great to see the constant interest in the late Johns music. Thanks.
MrEPH80 thanks for the upload 👌
He is a true legend, only got to meet him once, and seen him play, but he had a lasting effect on me, and is never out of my head.
I'm pleased someone took the time to upload this... I recorded it myself off of the BBC when it was aired and I was surprised that it didn't make its way here straight away....so thank you for uploading....Kev
John Martyn, many a broken heart mended by his Songs
Blessed Be...i was able to see him live twice and both times were amazing. thanks so much for this..a more intimate portrayal of his life and music.

Thanks for uploading this MrEPH80......
Such a sweet man, such an asshole, just like the rest of us.
I went to Les Cousins a few times in 1967. Saw Bert J who was too drunk to play. Spider John. And Al Stewert who I didn't like. Drove back at about 3am on my Vespa and ran over a very drunk Irish fella in shepherds Bush. He stood up and apologised
Beautiful and I feel your point.
my cousin, a surgeon in Killkenny hospital, was the man that cut off his leg..
Does he have it?
That same man fixed my transit van
Which one ?
Mr Martyn is my conscience and the source my enhanced sense of personal responsibility. His music is sublime and an ever present sound track to my life. I thank the universe for him
Such a starnage comment...a flicker of light amid the gloom but interpereted as praise..thank you.

The Last Bastions Of Bohemia what year was that? I'm I'm leeds can't remember him playing there. The Irish centre had some great ppl playing tho.. The fall played there a lot
A true one off, who did things his way and was happy to accept the consequences whatever they be. Ultimately, death.
"I prefer the company of lunatics!" Amazing
An addict plain and simple. A terrible disease. A great musician and brilliant voice .

ok Bev, but I think you were totally mismatched, no wonder how bitter you became later, given that Iain had more talent in his pinkie etc, saw u @ Edinburgh, which proves my point, you still couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
Haha , classic!! From a big J.M.fan in Australia !! :)
