HAWAII VLOG (part 1)--manta rays, Kona farmers market, beach day, itinerary // episode 17

ALOHA and welcome to the big island of Hawaii! In December, my friends and I decided to take a 5 day trip to Kailua Kona to celebrate the end of the 2022 season. Let me tell you guys, we did NOT waste a single moment on this trip. It was completely jam packed with fun and adventures every second which is why I have to make a part two! ****HAWAII ITINERARY***
In this video:
DAY 0:
- Arrival at Keahole Airport
- Pick up rental car from Hertz
- Arrive at Airbnb
- Dinner at Huggos in downtown Kona. Bougie, beautiful views, good drinks
- Explore Kona
DAY 1:
- Local Kona Farmers Market on Ali'i drive. This farmers market is super cool and one of the many on the island!
- Brunch on Ali'i drive
- Makalawena Beach (a "hidden" beach). Please have a car with adequate suspension (unlike us) and 4WD. A tiny sedan or convertible will not survive. Or, you can park 1-2 miles away and make a beautiful hike out of it!
- Nighttime snorkel with manta rays with Kona Snorkel Tours
This snorkel tour was part of a package which included both a daytime snorkel and a nighttime manta ray snorkel. It was a great value and the crew were very professional and kind. I highly recommend this package to save lots of money and to have lots of fun!
