2019 Marine Corps Birthday Cake Cutting Ceremony

In honor of the 244th Marine Corps Birthday, the Irwindale Police Department conducted our first ever cake cutting ceremony.
It is customary to cut a traditional cake in celebration of the birth of the Marine Corps at Marine Corps birthday celebrations worldwide and it was great for us to bring this tradition to the IPD.
On hand to help us celebrate were Detective Corporal Armando Lopez. Detective Manuel Campos, Police Chaplain Robert Treitler and Irwindale Mayor Albert Ambriz Jr., all of whom proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Irwindale Police Chief Ty Henshaw was our Guest of Honor and Detective SergeantRudy V. Gatto served as the Master of Ceremony.
