Very cute. Considering otters in nature will float on the water's surface and eat their food on their belly, this eating behavior actually makes a lot of sense. Without the water it looks rather human-like, cracks me up.

I also agree!! These poor animals are only being exploited. So many ignorant people it's unbelievable. Just to read comments, most people think this is cute and want one for themselves. Wild animals should never be house pets. I've commented on a few comments where they've told me I don't love animals and if Bingo wasn't living with these people he'd be food for a predator. The fact of the matter is this is all part of the illegal pet/animal trade.

We can say the same thing about a lion, why not have a lion for a pet, which people do so not only is that cruel but dangerous. I can't believe I'm actually going to use this term but you are comparing apples to oranges. Humans know which animals are domesticated and which are not. Maybe one day otters will be domesticated but right now they are not and should not be kept as house pets just as all exotic wild animals should not be!

朝のライブお疲れさまでした。しかし・・・・・この表情は・・・癒しの極みですね。器用につかんで食べてるのが好きです。
カワウソは犬みたいに狩猟に特化した出っ張った爪でなく、人間の爪みたいに小さく出っ張ってない為、人間同様に何かを手で掴むのに特化してるって今朝の坂上動物園でしてました。因みにカワウソは段ボールとかの穴に手を突っ込んだりする習性あるみたいっす
なるほど・・勉強になりました。人間味を感じますね。
俺も知らなかったっす。たまたまテレビ見ていたらカワウソの話しになって飼育員さんが言ってました。それまでカエルの手みたいでプニプニして気持ち良さそうってしか思ってなかったっす
