Thanks for sharing this. I too lived in Korea for the same length of time, and studied Hapkido for 4 hours a day, 6 days a week, under Grandmaster Hwang in Daegu. I always say Hapkido chose me, not I chose Hapkido. GM Hwang was taught by Choi Yung Sool.

Yes, I loved being privileged to study and earn my black belts in both Hapkido and Taekwondo while I lived in Korea for 3 years. I would recommend the study of Hapkido to any and everyone.

Keep up the great work.. I just got my green belt in hapkido last week and a few months back in June my black belt in TKD under the teachings of grandmaster Richard An and South Korea's own Master Yoonchul Oh. At tiger ans out of Massachusetts, I never thought that my journey would begin in my late 30s ..

It looks like very similar to jiu jitzu. But... has Apkido ground fighting techniques ? Functional and not for the show, to defend yourself when your opponement is over you. Thanks.

Opponents would have to offer some resistance to make it more real. More resistance, more real. Thank you. Best regards.
