Long story short the larger efficiency allows more heat dissipation and more effecient use of space in the cell. You can fit more battery capacity at the same current draw in a certain space. Or you can keep the same battery capacity as the 18650 and get more current. 21700 is the future, but they are still a little more expensive as manufacturing capacity isnt there yet. Ignore the negative comments this was a good video.
Hi great and clear info thank u If I going to build the 20s5p Samsung 40t will 1 lier of 8x0.20mm pure nickel strip for each cell between series is good enough or need 2 lier to carry the current and will 100amp countinuse bms is good enough for the job pls advice
I bought mine G3 and power shut off during a ride last week.. Don’t buy it!!!!the funny thing is that it happed a week after I bought my G3...They admins that their batteries are defective and told me that they will send replacement in 1 month...That’s ridiculous customer service...Well it’s Chinese board so yeah...I rather overpay and get boosted board or even Chinese but Meepo. I suggested Backfire somehow to compensate all this troubles for me...and guess what they say: NO...and they suggested me to send board back if I want to...What a great Example of Customer Service...Stay tuned I’ll post a review video to UA-cam and share my bad experience with BACKFIRE BOARDS soon.
Up till the 3min mark this video was very very hard to understand. Would be great to redo this video with more graphics to illustrate the different batteries. Even just what words apply to which battery as that was not clear.
I found the opposite it was very clear. I only buy boards with 21700 they have near zero sag at end of charge. Higher discharge rate, higher current = equal power throughout charge of battery. He had graphs, write outs and examples idk what else he could of done.
Its very well known that 30Qs can do 20 Amps sustained. Also max discharge does not soley dictate voltage/power sag . I'd rather have a chinese engineer tell me about this who knows what he's talking about rather than some guy clearly reading off a poorly written script
@@BackfireBoardsOfficial what do you mean airborne? Im having trouble deciding between 21700 battery pack vs 18650 battery pack (both 12s7p). getting the 21700 battery pack would mean that i would need a slightly longer and subsequently stiffer board which would increases weight. added battery weight increases total weight as well. Altogether, this will add about 3.2 kg (7lbs) total weight. Does this significantly affect my ability to be agile/nimble and perform small jumps (i have bindings on my trampa).
Great video. But the 21,700 and 18,650 nomanclature is confusing. The rest of us in the real world just call them 21-700 and 18-650 batteries. Give it whirl...it will be less confusing and people won't thin you're pompus.
Backfire dropping the sick rhymes😂

Love those videos! Keep going guys!!!
Nice edit but the rap at the beginning and with the LOL were sooooo cringe.
Like how it seems like you are continuing to innovate
Very educational 👌
You don't say the 'thousand' after 18 and 21... :/
He can’t say that many times a day . Our battery engineers would need an extra day off just to say that many thousands
Sir, as an elderly millennial; I ask that you say "haha" and not LUL. thank you.
is there any chance you will have Zealot or Zealot S in Eu warehouse soon? site says it can only be shipped by train
If the different battery is the reason why the G3 Boards don't need a cool down period on Turbo Mode, why is the Mini restricted to 30 seconds?
yes,protect the battery life
Mini is 12S1P, G3 and G3Plus are 12S2P,double discarge ability
@@BackfireBoardsOfficial Thanks for the clarification! :)

I'd always use 18650 30Q! As I'd want Lilli in my board.😂
I may have purchased the wrong ones, are the Samsung 21700 50-E cells still good for electric mountain boards?
50E has low dischare rate ,you need at leaset 5P
@@BackfireBoardsOfficial What is the meaning of the Letter?
@@NakedSageAstrology P is for parallel, if you put 5 in parallel it will have 5x the discharge rate.
@@Thomas_Simard
Thank you, but I meant what is the letter E for?
Damn this looks gooddddd. I dont think you will send me one for free no balls lol

Ser gii soon?
It's NOT 18thousand, 6hundred, 50 . It's 18,6,50 !!!!! As in the 18x65 !!! Size!!!

30 amps makes sinse for my backfire.......but my custom built board will use as much and 200 amps at max speed. Lol
It's not called a 21 thousand 7 hundred, it's just called a twenty one seven hundred

It is also known that 40Ts can do 40 amps sustained so it’s still double what your 30Qs can put out.
There's no Samsung 30T in G3 board, it's chinese unbranded, know it as I own it, stop deceiving ppl
CAN'T FOCUS WITH THE MUSIC
yes, less music would of helped
Sheesh!
How about Sony vtc6 18650?
for airborne

Then just use 18650 with 3p
The music is wayyyyy too loud in relation to your voice.
To much talking and reading. The explanation is too long and not needed. Reading 18xxx and 27xxx over and over again is irritating.
Not Samsung 40T????
we are talking about 21700,21700 have many different types, not only 40T
That intro made me pause to cringe on one knee. Don't do that again
... what?
Please dont do anymore rhyming lol
I would also like to tire Lilly out.
Go ahead if you're into men that look like girls...LOL
So hard to hear over the rock music. Darn.
