Battleaxe POAC 1990 to 1992 I still have the original VHS tape. Went on to JATCC afterwards but that's a whole other story! Good friend Sooty Sutcliffe, CY makes a few appearances. Recognise many other faces but not so many names. Smudge, POWEM, former shipmate on Achilles. First sea-going WRNS onboard - good bunch.
I served on HMS Battleaxe in early 80s, and, probably uniquely to this ship, 'Hands to Battle Stations' was typically announced in lieu of 'Hands to Action Stations'!
Tive o privilégio de fazer parte do grupo de recebimento dessa Fragata. Hoje a nossa RADEMAKER a marca da vida. Bravo Zulu
oh wow! my old sea cadet unit TS Highburton had HMS BAttleaxe as our affiliated ship and i had the pleasure of visiting her a few times :)
fui da guarniçao da ex hms battleaxe renomeada na marinha do brasil como almirante rademaker 1997 plymouth uk bons tempos e lembranças abraços a todos
Some very familiar faces indeed, I think I joined soon after this film was shot. Definitely my favourite ship of the seven ships I served on.
My old ship 84-86.

@@zac7260 I was on the axe 85 to 88. I remember all the "Battle speak" on there. :)
81-83 for me. Fond memories... my last 'ship' before joining the submarine service.
See the world differently.
