Looks really nice but I don't like the idea of having to buy certain wheels. I always seem to forget something and I would be supper annoyed if I had to go to a certain store to get my special wheel when I could have just ran up the road and grabbed one at the local hardware store
Great product as always from Bosch but the real question is, what are we doing with the blades/discs that we all kinda have invested so far for our work? And we all know that most of them they’re not cheap especially some Montolit, sigma and more…. I think it could be great/better if they come up with a concept/system that it’s gonna fit all our blades/discs as well. Great video as always btw and thanks for taking the time to saw us all this new products!!!
I'm also very impressed. Love that "X Loc". If I didn't already have that "Red" grinder I would definitely get that Bosch!. On another note. I just completed a job where I tile a 190sqft shower with those SAME TILES (floor, walls & curb) wallswhere you cut the curb. I tried to sell the GC on that "engineered marble topper" but he went with tile and schluter trim instead. Maybe next time Go Berg!
It's a good grinder for sure. That's a big shower! Lowe's has their bright white engineered stone 7' at super low prices. Quicker to install than tile and Schluter profile and zero grout joints for low maintenance. 👊
I look at the change as a break from grinding/ cutting. besides the prices is 3 times as much for a cutting and diamond wheel. 8 times more on the flap disc.
I like the concept of the fast changing blades but until they have diamond core bits I'm probably going to stay in the Milwaukee family of grinders nice review though! 👍
@@LandbergTileTV Thanks for the reply! As long as they all adopt the same locking mechanism and it’s not patented to only one manufacturer it’ll be a good improvement. Keep up the great videos mate!
The thing with grinders saw cutters ect.. you put a decent blade on it then your ganna get a decent (ish) cut no matter how expensive the unit your using costs
@@LandbergTileTV what do you think about that new x-lock system, because I think that they need to come up with an adapter or something for our “regular” blades so we can actually get in to that new “x-lock” system, plus and most important, we can also use our own blades as well because in the end I don’t think that any of those blades can be better then any of those montolit/sigma etc. I hope I’m not exaggerating so much but personally, I love that new x-lock but I don’t really seeing my self getting one and that’s because of the money I have already spend/invested in my blades.
Awesome video as always. Very informative. I love the quick blade change. But sounds like it runs a little slower on the RPMs. Keep the videos coming and we do appreciate knowledge and opinion. “FLIP”
I tried to look the (rpm) info, no where to find it, needs at least 10k rpm I didn’t hear that, sounds slow. I like the changing blades concept though. Great video bud, thanks.
@@joefowler3106 I have used so many grinder, the last one I got is also a bosch, it looks very similar to this one except without the x-lock, it works as good as the best grinder, it makes less noise and I believe the speed is the same, and if it is not, I have not have any problems
I am impressed with that unit except that it only comes with one battery. Even more impressive is that beard you are rockin but whats not impressive is the lack of Sun you are getting :)
It doesn't take generic wheels? That's a deal killer right there. I use Pferd. There are absolutely no better abrasives on the planet. And where's the guard?

I got tired of swapping wheels so I bought a couple extra grinders. This looks like a much better way if the blades are readily available.
It's cool but how often do you change the blades that this sistem is worth investing in?.... and the reliability it's the other part of the story..
Quite a bit, especially if you're using those diamond hole saws.
Very good Bosch x lock
I'm also very impressed.

@@LandbergTileTV I agree, GC & customer preference. Probably more the GC. He thinks he's saving money.
Great Video as usual was looking forward to this. It looks great my only problem Is having to get yet another battery platform 😅

Looks like a good little machine, can you use the safety guard with the diamond blade at the same time?
It gets in way. Wear safety glasses
Yes you can
I hope Pearl does X lock option.
Great video like always
Very nice.
Ridgid blade vs Bosch? Which one do you like better?
Not sure about the Ridgid blade, but this blade is absolute quality.

Good idea but it limits you to only their brand of discs/wheels.
Do they do stone style buffing discs in that X-Lock style?
No, but I hear all manufacturers are heading towards the X-Lock direction. Makita has their unit up on HD with a 5AH battery at a killer price.

I agree
@@LandbergTileTV having said that.. that grinder is pretty sweet tho :)
Great tool
The Makita cordless angle grinder with XLock is on sale for $180 at Homey Deeps.
Just saw that. Makita X-lock grinder, 5AH battery and 2 pack X-lock diamond blades. $238.00 out the door! Awesome deal, thanks Rob
Im sure xlock adapters will start showing up
Makita is already on board, hopefully followed by Dewalt and Milwaukee
What a great technology, wish dewalt had these systems on their grinders
I'm sure it will come soon
Makita has it already as well
@@jimmysthegreek I've got the Makita here to review and the price was much better. Video will be up soon.

Same issue as the Fein blade problem
This is nice

Agree
Most all 18-20v cordless grinders run slow like this 🤷🏻♂️

I have problem I’ve tried all the blades and still when I cut tile I get so many chips do you know why
I bet doesn’t have enough RPM, sounds weak and slow
You could always get a stone or diamond polishing pad to smooth out the edges with the chips
Use a dressing stone on the disc
you should use cut protection, lead by example, that's very dangerous
Yes, you're right
No universal blade ☹️☹️
Personally I recommend Dewalt

lol, spend all my time working in bathrooms!

Too pricey for me
