Marcelito makes it easy because he can. He is a singing angel on earth. For me, this is his absolute masterpiece, something of crystal clear sung, the bright madness.
Two languages that he doesn't speak, a female voice and a male voice, the male voice is in a classical style, the female voice is a pop style, AND he is sitting a chair! You will see him grip the edge of the table sometimes for support. AND and he is doing a damn good impersonation of Celine and Andrea's performance of this song.
He has never had a vocal lesson in his life. He grew up on the streets of the Phillipines from age 7 to age 24 when he entered the Phillipines Got Talent and he won! He was 18 when he discovered he could sing the female voice. I love to listen to him - his voice soothes me.
As for America's Got Talent, it's not a singing contest. It's for all around talent. The act that won was a dance group of about 28 young people from India including kids doing incredible death defying acrobatics. Marcelito actually beat out all the other singing acts.
in addition, the shows were prerecorded, edited, and manipulated in more ways, including telling him what to say as his background story (as if it wasn't interesting enough already), shuffling the songs around in one show (he was SHOWN first, with a dubbed comment about not been given the golden buzzer so early in the show, while he really performed only later and simon already had given the golden buzzer to his own favorites when he wasn't allowed to do that) and also cutting a scene from the finals and copying it to the semifinals (what did simon originally say?). if you don't believe that such manipulations are possible, search for videos where eyewitnesses tell what they saw, and watch the original videos (of semifinals and finals) yourself when heidi's arm switches back and forth between naked and a green sleeve.

He actually has at least a half a dozen voices. He speaks and sings in many languages.He is the worlds greatest voice replicator. He has trained his every part of his body to imitate anyone he hears.. he never had any formal training that’s probably why he is able to do what he does. He has Taught him self for years without any interference from the so-called professionals that teach you one style of singing.

This technique is common in the Philippines 🇵🇭. There was a contest we call "Doble Kara" (Double Face) where a contestant has to wear half male and half female, sing a Male vs Female duet, then show the side in which voice they are using. Marcelito is the best in this category.

HAHAH #2 most watched Wish Bus singer LOL. Self taught off the streets, what an absolute vocal beast his man is :-) This dudes vocal cords must be like play-dough, They have to be super thin and tight for the female part and he's gotta have some thickness and stiffness for some of those big male parts. He REALLY plays with his soft palate a lot here too, moving it and his larynx up and back down like mercury. It only helps a "tiny" bit that his set up for the female part is more of a pop set up and the male part is more a classical set up. It kind of enables him to switch between two "known" locked positions quickly, but I would defy any but a small handful of singer to do it that well and fluidly. Another beautiful musician, and another great reaction. You two are really picking some great stuff for your reactions well done gents!! Pints all around.

It's a good thing the Philippines doesn't have a large military or I am quite sure we in the USA would have had war declared on us with how AGOT treated Pomoy. He doesn't seem to tour Europe (except for one special appearance for the king of Spain). He does tour Canada, Australia, the USA and many Asian countries.

In honor of that occasion Marcelito learned to sing "Despasito" in Spanish, another language he doesn't actually speak, so he'd have a song for the crowd in their own language. You can find it on UA-cam. He actually sounded better than the original artist in my opinion.
He also performed in Front of Chinese people and sang a Mandarin song. When I first heard him sing a Chinese song I was really shocked because of the clarity of all the words coming out of his mouth.
