I create handmade, high quality wood pieces (and sometimes, crafts using other mediums such as natural stone or acrylic) that connect to people on an emotional level. Each piece is meticulously designed to look and feel like an art piece. I have always adored art, and have an underlining mission to incorporate my knowledge and skills into wood turning. With my videos, I hope to inspire and encourage others while promoting wood turning, experimentation, and safety. Please stay safe at all times!

Thats a good little jig mate , I normally use a barrel cleaner but I'm going to have a look and see if any of our pen kit suppliers sell a jig like that, and if not looks easy enought to make one any ways.
Take care my friend , Bram

Bram the Wadesmill woodturner Thanks Bram, I still use barrel trimmers too for cleaning out the barrels. I like this jig for the ends. You can totally make one. It was cheap to buy one. Lol Sometimes I don’t bother making a jig if it’s cheap enough to buy, unless I want to add my own spin to it. Thank as always. Cheers - Speros

Been doing that for years. No jig though. I use a aluminum square like you have against a miter gauge on my disc sander but i use a HF punch set for all the exact sizes in almost all pen blanks for my shaft. I hold the punch down and against the aluminum square and slide it gently into the sander. I have to turn the blank down to 1/4" dia. though, for it to work.

Carl Civitella Another good tip, thanks for sharing. You could make a jig with the punches for sure. Either way is way better than hand sanding. Lol thanks again my friend.
