Missy Elliott is never naked. And shes one of the greatest female rap artist in the game. Dej Loaf, kept her clothes on and a few other lesser known house party female rappers keep their clothes on. Rappers who wear minimal clothing do it because it sells records. They wouldn't do it, if everyone decided that it's no longer appropriate.

Yup 😄!!! Lady B was who we listened to , she was the philly DJ for the radio. I remember when she did a rap on a TV show before I forget the name of that show. It might have been called street beat but I'm not sure. But those were the days !!!
Wow!! This brings back such great memories of being a teenager. We were all so natural then. From the way we looked & dressed. Nothing fake!!! No auto tunes. The natural flow of rap, unfiltered. So thankful to grow up at that time. It was very special. Breakdancing & battling through words & dance. No social media, word of mouth & real talent!!!
Roxanne Shante that was my girl back in the day. She was like 12 or 13 yeas old; I was definitely feeling her as we were around the same age. That was a time when there was no cable at least not in my house, I was watching her video on a crappy old school TV with an aerial, picture was all fuzzy I could hardly see her face but even with the fuzziness I could tell she was kinda cute.

I was 13
Same, KAZI FM, Austin community radio, Saturday nights 1984.
Yup 😄!!! Lady B was who we listened to , she was the philly DJ for the radio. I remember when she did a rap on a TV show before I forget the name of that show. It might have been called street beat but I'm not sure. But those were the days !!!
At 3:56, she acknowledges a fan without skipping a beat. :0)
You do realize it's a music overlay? lol
I guess I didnt. Haha. Still, though. Pretty nice of her to say hi to a fan while she is performing.
And it still looks like she managed to that without skipping a beat. How cool is that?
a classic moment from the 80s , just great!
No cussing. No twerking. I remember those days
Me Too
No, you don't. This song was heavily edited to make more popular. The original version contained constant curses.
What are you taking bout she cursed all the time
The youth loved this the actual adults cringed and hated it.. Like most new hip hop.
LMFAO! They were doing ALL of that during these days!! My mother grew up during that time and she says there’s nothing new under the sun! 😂
The first female DISSER!
Hell yeah. Dissed the real Roxanne
Thanks to utfo
Not the first female rapper
@@hip-hoprapstorage4440 she didn’t say that you idiot
@@cashhsoevil9296 Ok sorry but don't call me idiot !
Roxanne was a true G! You can tell she was genuine and meant every lyric she was spittin. Pretty and cool!
Damn I wonder what she used for edge control. Her ponytail snatches better than most today lol
haha lol so funny
Now she rocks the perfect buns and her edges are still snatched just like when she was 14! Roxanne Shante got some beautiful hair.
- The Wisdom Body
Chy Chy maybe Hair Rep. that’s what we used back then.

Beautiful sister. That long ponytail and the hand movements are so cute on her. She was only 13!!!!

She was 14.
She deserves much more recognition.
Everyone gives her props for being 14 year's old and rhyming with impeccable skills... Which I ain't even trying to dispute, But I personally respect her for how she pimped the industry and got her schooling and further education paid for her for year's like a boss 👌💯💯
I remember when this came out. I grew up in East New York, Brooklyn and I was in Jr, High School. I had the pleasure of meeting her after a show she did in NY. She was as real as they came. She did not need to show off anything her Rapping spoke volumes.Nuff Respect to her.
No surgery, no skin exposed, just raw talent. Props to her
FeFe N. and those with the surgery and skin showing still have talent

She went to the same Junior High School as I went to in Woodside. I was there in 1982. I wonder if I knew her. The outfits brought back many memories for me. I just watched Netflix movie about her. She was so young going through adult stuff. What an amazing artist she is. I hope life went well for her.
