What type of clear coat did you use? Also I'm wanting to do a bait but I don't want the high gloss finish, do they make a flat finish? Any recommendations? Thanks for any help.
I just alumi-uv( it's expensive)and I haven't experimented with a flat finish. People have said that a rustolem clear matte spray paint works. Clear coat the bait and then spray that on it. I dont know how much protection the rustoleom by itself would have.
I keep getting little divots in my baits when I am using the alumilite UV. I recently purchased a cup tumbler that I was hoping would fix the issue but it hasn't. Do you have any recommendations? I am painting it on with a brush btw. @@Bass-N-Baits
@@tlalexander3 I still have some issues as well. If you don’t already do this try running the container under some hot water. That’ll thin it out so it should fill those gaps in the bait better. Also you can try painting it on thicker. I think it puts the most around the scales and stuff the baits. There might just not be enough Alumi on the bait
I have a lot of cork popping bugs that I inherited, and some were already painted white with a base coat. What do you use for base coat? Are your paints acrylic?
I, too, inherited the same cork popping corks. Some were primed with an opaque white, acrylic paint. They have to be sealed. The opaque white will do this.
Fantastic video. This just gave me some ideas to try some new things. I really like the beginner patterns you paint. Thank you
