As a former Burbank local, this is definitely one of my favorite gems! It's a Wrap, and all the other shops on Magnolia Blvd., are independently-owned, hidden gems that have been having a hard time in the last few years due to rising rent prices and commercial developers jumping in to put more chain stores in the area. Fun fact, It's a Wrap has a special Halloween sale, and they hold a lot of their really unique costumes for that time of year!
I’m definitely going back for that! I was wondering where all the astronaut suits and monster masks were haha makes sense that they set them aside for that
Born and raised in Burbank here. I agree it's a wrap is a gem! Magnolia has great shops. Growing up my best friends grandparents owned a thrift store in Burbank. It was so fun hanging out there. Love this video!!!!!❤
I grew up in Vancouver, Canada (also called Hollywood North) and they are always filming tv shows and movies here. After wrapping, they will have “blowout set sales” which is essentially a huge warehouse where you can buy everything from clothing to art to furniture. My mother has the “wing gates” from the Lucifer TV show that she brings out for Halloween and I’ve gotten designer clothing for under $20. She is on a list so they email her whenever one is happening!
as a professional actor, i can confirm that some sets make you wear the costumes with the tags so that they can either resell them or RETURN THEM at the end. It’s wild!
As a professional costumer, I can confirm that that does happen, but those are usually really sh***y shows or commercials. Commercials are notorious for doing that.
@@moefen4486 yeah, cause I’ve never experienced that. The wardrobe people hunt tags down to take off. If a set I were working on did that, I’d be suspicious about everything. I’ve worked on Disney, CBS, Netflix, nutribullet, national commercials, Marvel productions and never once had this happen.
I love this video so much! My mom and my dad are currently the owners of the store, and we really appreciate the positive vibes and promotion of the store!!!💓💓
I'm impressed with the restraint you had on buying items lol I would've wanted to buy the whole store and definitely would've bought more than 3 things. Props to you girl
I don't know where you would wear most of the stuff. The last time i wore a fancy dress was i think 4 years ago. I love dresses but i always feel lile you can never wear them. At home you wear joggers or yoga pants, at work you wear jeans or maybe fancy pants but unless you work as an event manager or singer i dont think you really have good oportunities to wear most of the stuff. And the jacket with "atmosphere" looked great but when you wear it people are going to ask why you wear clothes with holes in it. I liked the coats, tho.
I work in Costumes for TV and Film, so I can give some insight! - the names written on the labels inside of the clothes and on the labels are normally the names of the character that it is being worn by. You will probably also see "hero" or "stunts" written in some of the clothing. "Hero" being the main actor wearing them and "stunts" being the stunt version of the character's costume. - On most television or movie productions it's frowned upon to have the actors wear the clothes with tags on them. We will keep the tags on until the clothing is picked for the costume to be on camera, and then unworn/unused clothes will be returned to the store (if they still can be). Anything from that store that has a tag was more than likely not worn on camera. - Most costumes have to have "multiple" versions of them if they are being worn for a long time in a script. Example: an action movie where someone gets dirty and bloody. We have to buy the same shirt 12 times. Some of the shirts will stay clean, while some will be aged to look dirty, or be bloodied if someone is wounded. So there are probably a lot of versions out there of the most famous/favorite costumes! Loved the video Hope! This one was definitely close to my heart.
Hope is like a female "Mr Beast" that comes with really great, unique content! Unlike the beauty community it is stagnant, toxic. Glad i found a new community like this Hope! You really have such a eye-catching content with no clickbaits! Xoxo 💖
I agree the beauty community is so so toxic. But with people like Jeffree Starr and James Charles, what can you expect. Hope is such a wholesome, sweet, and smart young lady.
@@janejones7638 It's so toxic, I say that in the sense that I was a product reviewer that quit. Hope kind of stayed between the beauty and fitness communities so I think she's doing alright.
I love watching Hope's videos because her "cheap" is almost as much as my rent. That's not an insult. I genuinely enjoy getting to have the experience through Hope.
In general, I don't like expensive designer clothing. Alexander McQueen is different. I was afraid it would go down hill after he died, but I don't think it did.
Sarah Burton is the designer for Alexander McQueen now. If anyone was interested. Both designers have a very different flavour. And both are unique in their own ways. But what connects them is the amazing McQueen tailoring.
I am old as dirt, you sparked a many decade old memory of going shopping on Main St in Santa Monica, CA at a store that specialized in the same thing. With your video, I am now going to have peruse this one. Thank You....
You find the coolest concepts for videos! I really enjoyed the activewear reviews but the recent content has been amazing! Thanks for being so versatile I live vicariously through you trying all of this stuff 😆
Once upon a time, like late 90s to mid 2000s, It’s A Wrap held online auctions on Yahoo for shows. It was fun going through the pages to see what they had on sale. I had wondered what happened to the store after the site was shuttered. Happy to hear they are still around.
I feel so validated whenever I watch your videos Hope! I also ALWAYS gravitate towards the fancy gowns even though I have no occasions to wear them lol
You're right about the tags! Productions frequently have actors wear costumes with the tags with the hope that they can potentially return them and get that money back into the budget. Sometimes this doesn't happen because it can be pretty obvious it was worn or gets damaged, sometimes they miss the return window based on the production's schedule
I love how your mind works girl. You bring fresh and interesting content every time. You help me learn about cool fashion purchase thrift locations I would have never known existed and found on my own. I loved watching you go through the clothes worn previously on different TV Shows. I often find myself wishing your thrift videos were longer because there is so much to see and discover when thrifting. I mean in my ordinary thrift store I spend at least two hours looking for cool items. The thrift stores you find are so unique and have so much amazing merchandise that I would probably have to schedule an entire day to thrift, review, and purchase. FYI I've been meaning to say this in previous comments, but you often find clothing with the tag still on them that appears to have never been worn. I know from my own TV work that costumers sometimes buy several copies of the same pieces due to issues with continuity, and lengthy shoots schedules that often call for characters to be in the same outfit for several days. I believe that's why this TV Show store has items with the original tags still on them. Also, I'm not sure if the Kardashian clothing you've purchased in the past with original tags on them is due to similar reasons. Maybe they also purchased several copies because they possibly shoot a one-day aired TV show over several days? I'm not sure but I could see them insisting on changing in the middle of recording for some little wardrobe issue and the costumer saving the day by having a duplicate outfit ready for all Diva Moments. LOL!!
I agree with you about the her thrifting locations. I go to several thrift stores in my area. It's nice that I can get practically brand new designer clothing at a very reasonable price. But my favorite thing to shop for is costume jewelry. I wonder if that store had costume jewelry on sale.
I totally agree I could have spent all day at this store!! That makes so much sense about the continuity.. there were several items that there were two of the exact same and I bet that’s why!!
This is SUCH a solid pivot from leggings reviews. This is sustainable, smart, money saver, creative and overall happy to watch. You go girl 👌🏽 I am here for this series.

I was in LA last weekend and stumbled upon this place (it's VERY unassuming) and wow, did I have fun. It's absolutely true that it's Hollywood sizing, so for female-identifying persons, it's mostly XS-S with some Ms sprinkled in. I'm a L/XL and managed to still grab a couple of kaftans from Warner Bros Studios, a purse (for $10!) from General Hospital and a jacket from Gracie & Frankie and literally spent just over $50 for everything. The digging is the best part. If I had known I was going to be near this place, I would have carved out more time to spend digging through the racks. That whole street is amazing-- oddities shops, lots of artisanal handcrafted shops, Mystic Museum, Halloween Town is amazing, etc. Would recommend!
I'd definitely have a look at this store. I always said if I ever got married I'd hunt down an Oscars dress but to get married in something recognizable from a film just blows my mind. (I'm studying to be a Film Editor so I really love movies.) Also those tall weird looking heads are from Coneheads. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My sister does costuming all over CA, they def leave the tags on so they can try to return them after use (or it never got used and the store refused the return).
I love this store. I used to go there a lot on the 90s and got a ton of fun things. I can confirm that sometimes actors do wear wardrobe with the tags still attached. Depending on production budget and how individual costume designers/production teams work, they sometimes will return items to the stores they purchased them from. This happens a lot more in commercial production to save money but it happens on tv shows and movies too.
I’ve worked with studio buyers and often times tags are kept on so the item can be returned if there is no sign of wear. If there is sign of wear the items might go to resellers.
I used to work at a luggage store in Vancouver (aka "Hollywood north lol) and we had some prop people for a sitcom come in to buy "expensive looking" luggage that they would keep the tags on then return after shooting is over. So I think your tag theory is correct haha
OMG! This was one of my fave stores in LA - I moved and haven't been back in years. It's amazing how much it's changed, downstairs used to be all decor and shoes, and upstairs was clothes. I can't believe how many clothes there are now! I actually did a video of one of my visits and a haul, but I have never released it - I think you may have inspired me - one the things I found were curtains from the plane from the show "Lost"
It's funny you included a clip from Gilmore Girls. I was wearing that pink Guess coat Lorelai had on in the first episode of the revival this morning. I want Rory's Burberry coat from that same scene though.
I grew up in a small community so I appreciate the "dont get popular" quote. Around tourist season everything was always expensive in the small shops when I was a kid!
Haven't watched even 3 minutes of this video, and I already know it's going to be amazing!!! 👏👏👏 I'm ready!!! I love your videos, and the fact the you show us places that we would never find on our own haha
Watching this 2 year old video, I am noticing how much Hope's voice has changed because in her current videos,, she's more clear and has so much clarity in her voice. Over here she looks so cute and her voice sounds very tiny
This store seems so cool! And omg that was SUCH A GREAT SALE!!! But yeah definitely you need to be willing to spend the time to search for things that you like. Also that $10 dress you bought looks so pretty! Also I’m pretty stoked about Hopper cause I actually am planning a trip so this was the perfect recommendation for me since I never know when to book flights and am lazy to keep constantly checking prices. Thank you so much for the useful tool!
I used to live in Burbank. I loved that store. Your videos are awesome. I've been watching them from my boyfriends UA-cam account and now he only gets your videos and video games videos lol. I decided to watch it on my UA-cam now so he can get back to his normal videos. Love everything you do. Stay amazing 👏
Hey Hope, I completely support you having sponsors. But I went to download Hopper and all of the reviews call it a scam or they had really really awful experiences. I don't know why you wouldn't look into something before advertising it to us. :(
It works but it’s best to book with the original site for that airline . I like using hopper to track my flights . Then when I’m ready I go to the airlines site and find the flight I wanted . When I booked with them and had to change my flight last minute I was charged $100 since it was with hopper and not the airline .
She said herself she used it and it worked for her, so not a scam. I'm sure she did look into it before using it herself. If you don't like the other reviews then don't get the app but there is no reason to blame her for other people's negative reviews.
I love the direction you have taken your channel! Thank you for sharing this place! I went yesterday and found a shirt originally $80 and a pair of cool Good American jeans still new with the tag for $140. Got both for $30!!! Definitely going back.
I just found you tonight. I've spent more time, than I care to admit, watching all of your videos. Best find in months, You guys are so entertaining, and there's really good info, too. Plus, You're a fellow Utahn, so props!
6:16 I could recognize that bloody shirt anywhere. It's from NBC's Hannibal, Hannibal wore it in the last episode of the second season (I still can't recover from the emotional damage of that episode)
Similar store but it's curated vintage one called The Way We Wore. Would be cool to see you look at her pieces in a video or tour her store as she has a lot of pieces that are from some significant moments in entertainment tooo. You would learn so much and her channel is chill af lol
Wow! This video has blown my mind ❤ the price of the georgio armani blazer made my eyes water( in a good way). Leo and his ghostbuster toy omg! So gorgeous❤❤ the pink dress looks stunning on you!
I recently found your channel and I'm thankful I did. It's been so hard to find genuinely good content across UA-cam. You my lady have blown me away with education on cool shit and trendy at the same time 🤩 thank you UA-cam for a good recommendation for once!!! 💕❤️💕
Okay but those items you purchased look so good on you! I wish I lived near there or they sold online. But I love little shops with great things that are one of a kind, makes them more special IMO.
Yes. At tv shows they leave the tags on when hosts are wearing clothes. They hang them on the inside of the back while filming. But you dont think so? Ah ok. Anywayz.. yh they do. 😎😘

I used to work at a luggage store in Vancouver (aka "Hollywood north lol) and we had some prop people for a sitcom come in to buy "expensive looking" luggage that they would keep the tags on then return after shooting is over. So I think your tag theory is correct haha
You would think the million+ budget for props and clothing would cover not returning the items
Maybe if they save the money on props money goes in their pockets as like a bonus?
I am SOO glad that I saw this video before my family goes to L.A. for summer vacation!
This place is definitely a must-visit, omg! Definitely falls under "stuff I didn't know I needed until now."
U put a lot of efforts to your videos it really makes my day ❤❤❤❤❤
This was so fun! I didn’t even know such a store existed! That AM dress looks gorgeous on you!!❤️
This never occurred to me, but now that I've seen it, I NEED to go!
Hope you're doing well Hope!!
As a professional HopeScope watcher I can confirm that i'm instantly obsessed with her videos
Thank you for ❤️ing my comment Hope! I love your channel 😊
Which tv/movie sets where the ones you bought from? That first dress you got is Stunning
4:35 I think that one's what Julie Andrews wore in the Princess Diaries to Mia's wedding!!!
6:24 THATS FROM STRANGER THINGS , NANCY WHEELER'S JACKET!!! FROM SEASON 3
Okay! This totally goes on my shopping bucket list!
It's not a hidden gem, the only people who can afford very well know items are people with money to spend
I love this video so much, I wish it was longer!! Lol
This is awesome thanks for sharing it with us Hope. Definitely gotta do a trip to check this out
I would love to see you go to an auction for costumes I love the videos that you make especially ones like this 😊
9:25KRISTEN STEWART! From when she played Princess Diana. I totally recall her wearing that in one of the scenes in that movie.
Hey Hope, I completely support you having sponsors. But I went to download Hopper and all of the reviews call it a scam or they had really really awful experiences. I don't know why you wouldn't look into something before advertising it to us. :(
i have used hopper for years and have never had any issues...
It works but it’s best to book with the original site for that airline . I like using hopper to track my flights . Then when I’m ready I go to the airlines site and find the flight I wanted . When I booked with them and had to change my flight last minute I was charged $100 since it was with hopper and not the airline .
Booked with them many times, never had an issue, not sure what part people are saying is a scam, but I've never had a bad experience
She said herself she used it and it worked for her, so not a scam. I'm sure she did look into it before using it herself. If you don't like the other reviews then don't get the app but there is no reason to blame her for other people's negative reviews.
Hey random girl here, hopper has worked for me and my friends and I was originally told about it from a friend as well.
I love the direction you have taken your channel! Thank you for sharing this place! I went yesterday and found a shirt originally $80 and a pair of cool Good American jeans still new with the tag for $140. Got both for $30!!! Definitely going back.
I did some work experience as a tv stylist when I was at university and I can confirm we ABSOLUTELY left the tags in to return/resell!!
The first sparkly dress totally gives me Ariel coming out of the ocean at the end of the movie vibes. If you know you know.
The blue dress is gorgeous!
That gown looks like Michael Jackson's outfit in the rock with you video..shine lights on it! So sparkly ✨ gorgeous 😍
This is a cool twist on thrifting! Would be perfect if it was more size inclusive!
Now that acting roles have become more size inclusive, I think eventually there will be a better size selection.
@@janejones7638 And hopefully in actually trendy clothes to boot!
My goodness, the 1st dress you purchased is beautiful and you look drop dead gorgeous in it. Lucky you!
It’s really amazing how much work and research she puts in her videos.
Love from a fellow creator ❤️
MIGHTY MED? I LOVED THAT SHOW SO MUCH OMG
I’ve heard of this store and have been wanting to go!!! I wonder if they have an online store?
I just found you tonight. I've spent more time, than I care to admit, watching all of your videos. Best find in months, You guys are so entertaining, and there's really good info, too. Plus, You're a fellow Utahn, so props!
first! i love you soo much!
OMG what the hell you look like a full on mega model in the first dress hope you are such an amazing person
Right 😂
Please wear that first dress to the Cheesecake Factory 😂😂
6:16 I could recognize that bloody shirt anywhere. It's from NBC's Hannibal, Hannibal wore it in the last episode of the second season (I still can't recover from the emotional damage of that episode)
Similar store but it's curated vintage one called The Way We Wore. Would be cool to see you look at her pieces in a video or tour her store as she has a lot of pieces that are from some significant moments in entertainment tooo. You would learn so much and her channel is chill af lol
She’s adventure girl!! You look good in everything you try on & wear Hope! Vintage looks good on you!! ❤️

My mom used to bring me there all the time growing up ❤ it is one of my favorite memories
Amazing! All three dresses look so good on you but that second one in particular is WOW!!
You are the most I accidentally came across you. My fave UA-camr now - you really make fashion fun 🤩
Ah ok. Anywayz.. yh they do. 😎😘
Yes! It’s a wrap is on a street with a ton of small businesses, which if u live by it (like me) as a teen it’s soo fun to walk around haha.
I love your videos! you always come up with new amazing places to go to
Shes so cute, and i love that she always looks happy makes my Day a better place
