    Taco i think you mentioned nailing boards on your deck.. Im not a carpenter but i'm married to one. Use screws not nails. Nails will back out overtime. Thanks for letting us ride along with you..

    • @TacoStacks
      @TacoStacks  4 роки тому +6

      I went with nails because removing the deck was fairly easy with nails in it, there were a couple boards with screws and boards were splintering and a pain to take out. I do agree with the nails popping up :(

      Screws are great but guess what was used long, long before screws ...correct nails if you use galvanized deck nails ( spiral ) they last and are a real pain to get out even if you want to of course you young chaps probably have not used nails building a deck there are decks I built years ago that are still holding strong ...my deck is 30 years or so and no problems.
      Of course I probably will hear I don’t know what I am talking about but I have 55 years in home building and home remodeling

    The magazine rack you've had before just had a handle. This one was a side table. I would want it to paint in a shabby chiq style. Great for small spaces!

      @@hooper4581 IDK about the color, but you are correct in the fact that older Weber Genesis gas grills are sought after for the quality, and parts availability. I suppose the red ones may give people the clue that they are vintage since that color was fairly popular. In reality most Genesis grills produced from 1985 to the early 2000's all are pretty good since the design was basically the same all those years. The ones with the open frame as featured in the video are the great ones. The ones with the closed frame with doors are junk because they are not as strong, and have rust issues.

Now that sm. black, metal stand, that you said, "you were actualy looking for one of those", would look very nice on your new deck! A pre trash day where people can stack metals and things nicely sorted. They dont even sort at dump here now we moved rural in California which shocks me. In major cities we had 3 trash bins one for trash, yard and recycle. I thought a calif mandate. Wonder if they know small areas dont even do that? They could make money have a dump day and sort out the furniture and wood to reclaim and sell for low cost or go in for a fee first come or something!

You can also call a RV sales or service business and tell them you are looking for a place to keep your van clean up for good appearances on UA-cam. They should help you out. There are several Van Conversations that are built using the vans as the base. If all fails, find a scout troop, of church that has car washes and tell them that you want a van washed.

    On that box of scrap metal: the object in the upper right looked like it might be a carburetor for a vintage automobile. Might be worth something, so take a closer look. Or show it to us on the next video and someone might be able to identify it. The other parts were definitely vintage auto, a disk and a rusty pressure place for a clutch assembly on a manual transmission.

    It always amazes me when people toss Weber BBQs. They are easy to fix and last forever. I've had my for over 15 years.

    I have been binge watching your site love what you are doing tried doing something like that 45 years ago with aluminium cans and glass bottles but hauling expenses for the glass had me break even and aluminium was an up and down market. This was in the early 70's, My Dad and Step mom did flea markets in the late 70's when macrama was big and the sold cord and baby clothes. Keep living the dream. And again you look like the Miami Dolphins QB Josh rosen.

    Your shock is a clutch pressure plate for a manual transmission and the motor housing is a generator, a precursor to car alternators.

    The metal thing that hangs from the ceiling holds a kerosene lamp. The knobs & drawer pulls are worth a buck or two each.

    That wood stand you picked up is a speakers podium I believe. Didn’t get a real good look at it. But I believe that’s what it is. Your day for grills.

    I always wondered why Taco finds so many grills. And doesn't try to sell them. Until today. Next
    door neighbor moved out. Left his grill. Underneath and to the side were piles of rust. Somebody had tried to move it and gave up. I took a close up look and the thing was entirely rusted out underneath. Upper part looked ok from a distance, but the rest was all rust. It was a Weber, which used to be a good brand. Not so much, along with all the rest.

    1960’s Ford Falcon parts box. The carb is from a six cylinder and sells on EBay for parts for $50. The shifter would sell for the same. FYI
