I agree that a phone is a great option to have in your toolkit. I have a separate section on my website for mobile photography. Have used the Moment lenses with my prior phones and have had to make the upgrade to the T-series for the 15PM. I use mine with a cage that has a T-series mount so it takes a bit more prep than utilizing their phone case but the lenses provide a little extra that at times matters a lot.
i can see your point but this is absolutly not a replacement for any real camera.. even less a replacement for a x100. You can play with it a bit and it can be fun but you will always only get what the phone whants you to have as result, its all ia on top of the picture.
replacement no, alternative yes. More so posing the question to get people to realize they already have a good alternative and to not to feel pressured to buy the latest and greatest. Of course a dedicated camera is gonna get you a better result as far as detail and image quality but if your posting to IG and want something quick that you can shoot > edit > post all on one device your phone is the right tool for the job.
If you're still rocking the iPhone 11 pro max like me, because you refuse to buy the same phone every year. It is definitely worth getting a dedicated camera.
I haven't used sandmarc in some years so I am a little bias, I like the moment ecosystem of products but I also remember sandmarc being cool. I think the industry leader is moment though
I respectfully disagree. I don’t own an x100 camera and don’t plan to grab one. I do have an iPhone as well but I wouldn’t put it in the same league as a x100 camera. The raw files from the x100 cameras are way more flexible for editing compared to iphone raw photos and retain a lot more detail. Also there’s less of those annoying flares that iPhones are guilty of. And as far as shooting a baked in JPEG the x100v’s Color profiles destroyed any unedited jpegs coming out of my iPhone.
I actually agree with you, but I am really posing the question for people that want to just start creating that think they need to spend $1,600-$2,000 on a dedicated camera to walk around and take pictures to post on social media. So often we get trapped in consumerism and feel we need to buy the new shiny thing. This is just a good alternative, not a perfect alternative but good enough.
Good vid man 👍🏼 Also, sorry about that but I have to ask, are you related to Zachary Anderson by any chance? You look a lot like him😅Plus, you have the same great production quality in your vidz. Keep doin your thing🔥
I have the regular iPhone 13, which still works with the smaller lenses. I have the Sirui set, including anamorphic. These T-series lenses are huge, I would not trust the bayonet and case anymore and it’s no longer that portable. Pictures are great though.
I do think the T series is as big as they can go with the bayonet mount on this version of the case. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a new case eventually
Good morning FbF. Two takeaways for me. 1, I would be concerned the lenses won’t for future iPhone's. 2, you are a smart m’fer. I use the Apple editor on every picture I want to keep. I adjust the brightness and crop them. That’s the extent of my editing. I thrilled with my iPhone 15 Pro Max’s capabilities out of the box, for our hiking photos and my car/motorcycle pictures. Do they compare to the photos you took with these lenses, no. I always enjoy your material, keep it coming. Enjoy the weekend.
Thanks 🙏🏾 I appreciate the kind words. Moment has supported the bayonet mount for a while even my old lenses work on these new cases. When you buy a new phone you essentially just get the new case to use your old lenses.
@@FilmedbyFreshI didn't realize the lens attaches to the case, I would probably order the Moment Universal Lens Mount, since i have a Moto-Lock case to mount the phone to my handlebars. In your video, it looked like the lens was attached to the lens on the camera. Ty.
Like to see it zoomed in, Apple does a strange interpretation w pixels , worm like pixels, esp in clouds/sky..I have iPhone 12pro so I’m hoping they eliminated the “auto dynamic range” even in RAW..also on Moment website it says the older lenses won’t work on Pro15??
Hi! Why can't the iPhone 15 pro max have a switch between the front camera and the back camera during recording, it should be very easy and clear to the Apple corporation that this is one of the primary needs of the camera? When are they going to add front and back camera switching on the iphone again while recording? Who can tell Applel this, please tell them that they will update the cameras soon. Thank you!
Have you guys played with AI when editing photos?

Straight vibes my bro
My guy 🙌🏾❤️
Can you shoot with the old lens I have them but upgraded from an iPhone 13 Pro Max to an iPhone 15 pro max
As long as it has the bayonet mount you can

I mostly agree with that sentiment but If there are any upgrades year over year it’s the camera of the iPhone.
According to you which is better sandmarc lenses or moment lenses? I'm totally confused pls help me which one i will bought

Such a great video, and we definitely agree! iPhone 15 is an amazing tool for creators. Great work!! -Victor

Ah you’re right they enlarged the bayonet mount so it won’t work with the new cases. Thanks for clarifying

agreed this should be an easy add. Hopefully it happens soon
Does the autofocus work with these lens on? Even in video?
Yeah it works well on the main sensor not so well on the telephoto
