    @EloikeAnthony Місяць тому +1

    Sir, this was helpful but the reading were not very accurate. The weight in kerosene must be greater than that of water because the upthrust of kerosene is less than that of water

    Water is more denser than kerosene now....

    Your values are inconsistence. Check from the second value for W3

    • @PhysicsWithBen
      @PhysicsWithBen  2 місяці тому +2

      Ok, you might be right. Experiments 🥼 are not without errors. But I hope the procedure is correct 💯?

    • @omofovweakpadaka5860
      @omofovweakpadaka5860 2 місяці тому +4

      @@PhysicsWithBen The buoyant force acting on the objects will be greater in the denser medium, which in this case is water. This is because buoyant force is directly proportional to the density of the displaced fluid. As a result, the objects will experience a greater upward force and consequently will appear to weigh less when submerged in water compared to kerosene.
      There seems to be a discrepancy in the values provided (W2 > W3) where W2 represents weight in water and W3 represents weight in kerosene. Based on the principle of buoyant force, the object's weight should be lower in the denser medium (water). Therefore, the values should be reversed, with the object having a weight of 0.40 N in water and 0.45 N in kerosene.
      Overall, your understanding of the procedure for determining the influence of buoyant force seems sound. However, ensuring consistency in the values reported is crucial when presenting results according to WAEC guidelines.

      @omofovweakpadaka5860 Thanks very much, Sir. I understand the physical language of CONSISTENCY IN EXPERIMENTAL VALUES. My take is, that , you can't have or report perfect values in physics experiments( I am firm and sure on this). However, if an experiment performed reveals or shows the EXPECTED TREND and the observable numerical values are recorded with Acceptable Consistent Decimal Places, then Examiners can accept and award marks to such an experiment.
      I also want to let you know that, Experiments are not error-free, Systematic Errors...etc.
      That being said, I can perceive you are a Scholar in Physics and would love us to CONNECT. I love having people like you around me, because they make be grow up and become better.
      Much love.
