Many times when we are sad, lonely, or depressed we ask ourselfs the wrong questions, trying to find answers to things that would change our past. But ask yourself, has anything you've done made your life better? And reckful i think you know the answer to that. Youre a really pure soul with lots of happiness, i hope you do something simular like going to japan with sodapoppin again, i've never seen you so happy when you was in japan and it was really fun content! :D
Reckful was empty inside, he had to constantly fill the gap but when there was times he couldn't, I.e being lonely and not being active he would want to die.

These streams opened up meditating for me, and I always thought it was mumbo jumbo. The clarity you het afterwards isn't comparable to anything. I feel as if my mind is sharp as if I was 14 again, clear thoughts.
I loved watching this whole process. Watching reckful go through this transformation was actually eye opening for me and I think has helped me personally. Thank you for sharing these talks!

Keke Rosberg What? He needs to know the truth. Life is painful and he needs to know what happend to Reckful, he was going to find out anyways so it’s better to be told sooner rather than later. If i learned Reckful killed himself about a year later then i’d feel more guilty that i never noticed him ending his life. This guys hope would be ruined if he never found out because his life could turn out good only to then realize his idol killed himself which would make the pain worse for the guy. It’s better to suffer when in pain them suffer when your hope is at it’s highest.

I got a bipolar disorder and been seeing a therapist for a few months now, and this video is like more value then my real life therapist lol... I also got ADD so I am Vaata, and I gotta be honest I have been depressed for 1 year now, only 21 yo... So It gives me hope to see Reckful being happy! Love from Belgium and gonna miss dr K
The part that hit me hardest about his death is I was starting to think that he was getting out of the dark place.

@@anthippo91 I assume balcony, because Mizkif said that when he got yo Reckful's place he saw it was already too late, he saw police and and Reckful's body under a blanket and his shoes near by. Though at first I questioned if he fell down or shot himself, because Mizkif also later mentioned how he felt just standing there and looking at Reckful just "sitting there".

Hey @rekful not sure if you'll see this, but you can play around with the metering mode on your camera to try to stop it from underexposing your face. I think a dot in the middle or a center weight metering mode would go a long way if your camera can do it!

Being recommended this was such a slap in the face....
He got a lot of hope and genuinly felt happy for the first time in a really long time and when it was taken from him, he lost all hope and ended it. It was too much. That's what I think happened. In a desperate situation he played a card that he knew deep down that wouldn't work and he proposed. Fuelling a manic depressive in a manic state is dangerous, because what comes up must come down, and if you push him further up, he will fall even harder. I know that Dr K comes from a good place but in this instance he got a bit too involved and was blindsided by the progress and pressed harder. I know a few bits of how Reckfuls last moments were and it makes it somehow worse, and it's somewhat poetic. We lost a legend and what comes up must come down, the further up you fly, the harder you hit the ground. I didn't know him personally but I've known of him since TBC, followed his stream from time to time and could totally sympathize where he was coming from, because I'm struggling with it myself. The pain. He felt like a distant cousin to me, even though I've never met him or spoke to him. He was one of the best PVP-players for years and a streaming pioneer. May he never be forgotten. Rest in peace Byron.

Mental health is like chopping your way through the amazon rain forest trying to get somewhere.
So you wake up, you have a machete, you get to work just one vine one branch at a time, not really sure if you're going the right way just chopping shit and moving forward, you do this every day. Sometimes you just say fuck it, theres no point, you're not getting anywhere anyways and you just don't have the energy.
Okay so lets say you google some tips and understand some things and have at least some ideas on how to deal with stuff, so thats like finding a map and maybe a sharper or better machete. You've become a little more efficient, you're still putting in the tough work slingin flora all day long.
Then Dr. K comes along, and hes like yo. Why are you just going in this random straight line? Look, go a little bit this way, theres a clear patch. Follow that north for a bit, theres actually a trail. Keep going and alter your course 30 degrees and you'll find another clear patch which leads you to another path.
This is how "help" gets you through mental illness.

Reckful, this is super hard to listen to and learn if you constantly interrupt or get distracted. He is explaining really interesting stuff but it is hard to follow with your constant mumbling and off topic interruptions. Much appreciated! Glad you are better now!

I feel like in the end Byron was just too "in need of control" of everything. He tried to find a code or something to feel better. If you want to be happy, you need to let go. Accept everything. Be ready for nothing. When he was alone he was not able to control his thoughts and emotions and blamed himself for it. In this video he says he is doing better and he seems to believe that he has found "the code". And there is no code. Later he probably got a low point and blamed himself for it even more. It is sad. For everyone reading this - just let go. Be an elephant.

omega8902 Do not think about the pink elephant. Ofcourse you think about it. It is a trap and it is hard to get out of there. And staying a lot inside by yourself does not help. Humans tend to categorise everything and put them in labelled boxes. You cant label happiness and thats hard for mind to understand.
I'm so glad for Reckful. But I'm just hoping that this isn't one of those phases where he falls in love -> loses that person -> and falls back into a hole... Whatever happens I hope he can stay like that and do his thing. Love you man.

Some people with bipolar disorder will go throu phases where they feel like they’re on top of the world , possess huge amount of confidence and sense of grandiose....they will be more likely to do reckless things like sleeping around spending money etc. it is known as manic state.

people who is depressed is very unpredictable, at least to me who I know someone close is suffering from depression. On the surface they act really normal but behind the scene they aren't... like out of no where their mood just suddenly drop and be "depress" as fuck. So it is very hard to see. This is why people who is depressed is always encourage to talk to someone and ask for help. I hope I make some what of sense... sorry for bad england
