Hands on Perfection

The fate of two warriors is about to be decided. One seems alarmed, protecting his distance with a loaded gun. The other, apparently unarmed, seems to be no threat. After a few seconds of tension, the two explode into battle.
My second movie for Assembling Media. The assignment was to create a commerical for a product, in under one minue. It's such a typical assignment, and it's almost always comical, so to challenge myself, I tried to do something serious. I used a basic Nike commercial formula to pattern the action, and used the typical lightsaber fight as the content.
The shoot only took one night on the UCF campus (between HPA1 and the student union), but the editing took all of three weeks. Lightsaber rotoscoping take FOREVER, but the results are just too cool to deny. A one-minute commercial is the best way to handle the workload of a lightsaber fight, so I think it worked well. In fact, it was definitely one of my best movies thus far, if not the best. Judge for yourself.
