Great setup, yet again! ❤ I learned how to layout my budget from you several years ago, and I’m forever grateful! Love my planner, and I’m looking forward to another Sara Marie inspired budget planner year!! 🎉
Haha thank you for saying that! I think sometimes people assume because I share certain aspects that you guys see everything or I’m obligated to share everything because I share at all. 🤣
I thank God everyday! I grew up in a household with very little and worked like crazy to be able to provide for my family. We’re extremely blessed and I try to remind my family that all the time.
Actually, I was thinking of an option for a planner or stickers with giving, charity, tithe, etc. We live in such a "Me, me, me" society that it would be nice to see generosity and charity encouraged....especially in budgeting.
I find that to be a very weird comment. It implies that she has had everything gifted to her when in reality the exact opposite is the case. She worked more than any one else is willing to all while having a new family. Everyone can reach the lifestyle she has if they were willing to put the work into it. As soon as you start to take complete ownership of your situation instead of seeing yourself as a victim you can achieve everything you want. The life you live is a representation of the choices you made - especially if you grew up in the united states or any other developed country. Not happy with your job and your income? Take on sidehustles and educate yourself if you need to. Work every waking hour to make your dream come true - because that is exactly what sara did in the past.
I may have missed it, but I didn't see where you budgeted for Retirement. You included a goal of increasing the amount. Is it part of the business budget and I just missed the line item for it? Retirement can be a large amount that I would hate for you to forget about it in your plans and then have to make adjustments during the year.
Excuse my ignorance but what is the difference between variable expenses and sinking funds? I know you've probable explained this a thousand times in your channel. 🤦♀
Haha no worries! Variable expenses in my budget will be paid for during the month. There are either specific due dates for those or I know we typically purchase from that category throughout the month. For sinking funds, it's either a bill that is irregular (every 2 months for example) or is a category that we don't necessary spend every month but when we do it's usually a higher amount. So for example clothes for the girls. We don't typically purchase clothes for them every month but when we do it's a higher bill. Hopefully that makes sense!

I hope you realize how truly blessed you are to be able to have such a generous budget. There are so many who are not.

Perhaps a category for giving back?
@@brendashiver there are a number of items you won’t see documented on my channel and one of them is our giving. We do so privately.

Did you get a new wedding ring set?! Love it
such a gorgeous set up ❤❤
Do you have any more budget books available?
They’re all sold out! We’ll have more later this year for 2025

Our retirement contributions occur automatically and our incomes are shown after those contributions!
Do you have a video of the whole planner?
I do a walk through of the planner in the video pinned on my channel! It’s the introduction to the planner video!
I remember you used to put health insurance. Did you guys end up finishing a job that has health insurance benefit?
Our health insurance and retirement savings are taken out automatically and we no longer record those in either our family or business budget.
Will you create a budget marathon where we can sit and watch all of the videos?
I’m add all these to my 2024 budget playlist so I think if you click the play button within the playlist, it’ll play all the videos in order 💕
