My father in law just bought this exact bike from the gentleman that won it on your auction. Working on getting the carbs cleaned, and fluids and lines replaced. Pretty neat that’s it’s so untouched. Original brake lines, rotors, and most bolts haven’t been touched. Paint marks are still on 90% of them. 👍🏻👍🏻 should run great once we go through it a bit. The patina is awesome on it.
I am the 2nd owner of a 78 cb750k, mine is all original too I also call it a survivor, but both of my side covers have cracks and there is a small tear in the seat and is a little sun faded from the original owner leaving it in the sun to admire I guess. I also have a 75 cb750k cafe racer that I daily ride in the summer.
Still have mine. A 75F that I got in 79 with 966 mi's on her. And with a kill under her belt! A week later she with back on the road. She now has 300K++miles. Has a 915cc kit with Tracy Designed Body work, with a lot of me worked in!!! My girl!!!
Hope you guys stay well through these current health concerns. I can’t wait to come visit the museum after things settle. I have a 77 supersport myself. It’s exciting to see that you guys get such great examples come through your doors.
Another great video. If you don’t have a Honda 750/4 already, you’d buy one after seeing how they are presented here on this channel. I know, because I did! But mine is a 1973 K3 , it’s fabulous.
I owned a 1978 Super Sport with the same colour scheme. I traded my 1967 Triumph T120 for it. Took my Super Sport on several cross country trips. Nova Scotia (3 times), Rockies, Florida. Loved it!!
He is 100% correct on the tail fender (part C) ... I'm rebuilding a 77 F2 right now and mine didn't have one... and they're nearly impossible to find, if you do they're expensive. Premium Japanese engineering that has stood the test of time.
Only problem with the 77/78F is the valve train....they eat exhaust guides and valves. I have repaired (and ported) many of those heads. I'm about 70 miles from you fellas....I'll be stopping by summer 2020 with my 1975 750F (now 1005cc) I bought in 1976. I am looking forward to seeing your place.
Hello, I own an identical 78 CB 750F same factory paint scheme. I bought the cycle from a friend who was the original owner in 1980. The original mileage is 8111. Bike has not been started in 5 years, but was prepped for storage. I have title in hand. Paint is excellent, chrome needs to be buffed out, seat excellent.
I just picked, from the original owner with 32k the exact same bike It sat for 30 years in a heated garage Got it running and safetied for $2500 Canadian
The 1975 Honda CB750F Super Sport in Sunburst Orange is my favourite. Not sure what colour Honda described it as but what a great looking motorcycle. You're so right these classic 70's motorcycles evoke fantastic memories regardless of whether you owned one or not. You perhaps new someone that did and the feeling stays with you. The older you get the stronger the nostalgia.
I had that color 75ss , first street bike at 16. My dad's was this one showing. I have dad's 78 still. It was in my garage fire with a 92 Gixxer 11oo, 81 Ltd 1100 , 650 csr, 93 Gixxer 750, 1000 Csr. I'm. Gonna restore the 78 ss.
When I was 15, my Dad bought this exact bike brand new. Same paint scheme. I got to drive it a few times. Mostly when he was out of town, hehe. He sold it for an '86 Gold Wing. Blah.
