Omg "we love an off-roading woman" jad me giggle more than most methinks. I'm in a wheelchair and when my hubby misses the pavement we joke that I'm off-roading XD. I'm glad to see both representation and love haha.
Steph: "I think anyone that came here for aesthetics stoped coming here a long time ago" Well I am here for the vibes and having fun with art no matter how it turns out. You guys are always entertaining and inspiring. Thanks for this Wonderfull video it makes this hellishly hot day a bit better
I guess the idea behind this set is to make your own surprise eggs or hearts like Kinder surprise and add a little figurine or trinket inside and then glue two shapes together to hide the surprise ( which is not included 😂 )
I love the smell of gluesticks and the sound of colored pencils jumbling around!! We do use Elmer’s glue in America, the gluesticks go on dark purple and turn clear when they’re dry :]
I love this channel so much. Whenever i want to smile, laugh and chill I come here. You've inspired me to try to practice drawing more and to have fun with it and not judging myself so harshly. Be Well.
Be careful of the heat, guys! Especially as you live in second story. Avoid hats and socks, lots of heat is released from the feet and head. Wet washcloths can be applied to the back of the neck to help, and stay well hydrated! Maybe try to stock up on freezy-pops as a treat to keep cool, they're normally cheap and can just stay in the freezer until you need them.
Elmers glue is a brand in America. They pretty much only make glue lol. I’m sure they make other stuff, but everyone here used Elmers glue throughout school. Also, there logo used to be a horse back in the day but they had to change it to something “less offensive “ 😂😂😂
I've been making art out of Toilet paper too! Mine is just a LITTLE more complicated though lol. I'm making 3d paintings and the last one I made has the massive hydrangeas popping out of it. The bases for them are made from toilet paper. I also just finished a second peace where I raised the corner of the canvas with the toilet paper to put some zentangle designs on it. I also used string on that one to male the tangles themselves 3D! The Hydrangea peace is so complex I have the confidence to price it at a whopping $500 but after explaining everything that went into it, I've had people tell me I should be charging more... without even seeing the piece! I haven't posted it anywhere yet but I'm so excited to lol. Anyway, using toilet paper to make 3D elements is SO fun! I am working on a 4th painting from the series and I'm so excited to get into making the toilet paper mache part!
@@DoodleDate I'd absolutely LOVE to see you guys try something like this. It would make my whole year hehe. I personally, cut the tp into strips and do it like regular paper maché, but it's so much smoother and easier to work witj after I seal it with glue ^-^
Speaking of the stickers, they do resemble LPS in the early 2000s as they had that big eye aesthetic as well as bobble heads. I have several and I’m so happy they brought them back because what they tried to afterwards was so strange (one era removed the bobble and just made the head posable. Another made the heads bobble but also ENTIRELY REMOVABLE so you could change bodies and that scared the shit out of child me)
Oooof Steph I would be so stressed after a whole class of baloon popping. Would just be crying in the corner, not surprising you have war flashbacks from paper mache :D
I haven’t done paper mache since high school. We made Greek vases. Mind was lop sided😹 I’m pretty sure we put glue in the paper paste too. I don’t think you need glue absolutely but it definitely is reassuring that there’s something other then water being relied on to hold it together
I love this and Adam's guinea pig is very cute! At the beginning it looked a bit like a lion with a golden mane :D Steph's creation is also very pretty
This has been one of my favorite channels for years, and it really has inspired me to continue pursuing art even when it feels impossible. your videos are always so comforting like hanging out with old friends! I hope you both know what an impact youve made!
Its cool to see you guys do paper mache. I’m currently majoring in industrial design so we use paper mache for our models pretty often and its quite fun!! I use newspaper instead but i will give toilet paper a try too.
17:47 Omigosh I was trying to think of what Carlton's face reminded me of... it was Littlest Pet Shop!!! 😂 I used to love those(especially the cat ones!)
I love it when you guys get crafty, haha! I don't think I've ever done proper paper mache, can you believe it?? Me and my friend liked to mix paper with water to make "recycled paper", but we had no idea what we were doing (and we presented it at a science fair in school nevertheless lmao), haha! Anyways, this looks like something I'd have a lot of fun with as a kid, haha! Maybe as an adult as well. But I'd try using tempera paints on it, I think. Anyways, I love both of your creations! Adam is too hard on himself sometimes, his guinea pig turned out so cute and magical! His name can be Carlson the Dampy, which makes him sound like an ancient king or something. uwu Also, I had completely forgotten the name "Littlelest Pet Shop", but I still own one!! I bought him sometime around 2006, I believe, for U$5,00. That was a lot in Brazilian currency at the time, I literally spent all my pocket money on him. He came with a little collar and a bathtub. I named him "Tanner". =3
You can use this method for any sort of mold as long as you press out all the water. I've done it with other, more complicated molds and they turned out really nicely! :D I added some glue to the water and they're really sturdy for just being toilet paper, water, and a little elmers glue lol
"surprise not included" made me laugh so much 😂 Adam was so disappointed. I'm surprised that Steph didn't make this a "romantic craft Collab" with the heart mold.
The idea that Elmer’s isn’t the leading brand everywhere is fine but the fact that it isn’t even KNOWN is wild to me lmao It is everywhere and the absolute default for schoolchildren. You get looked down upon for having anything that isn’t Crayola for coloring and Elmer’s for glue.
Just imagine having a slightly larger press that enables you to make two unicorn halves that you then can glue together and paint/decorate 😍😱 Just as the plastic unicorn thing from crayola but better I think!!
mr. dampy is so cute tho I wonder if these would make good christmas tree ornaments, since they're so lightweight. just glue on a piece of ribbon, and voila! I would love to see the magical bean girl that would use that magic bean. does she go on an adventure up a beanstalk?
😅 given how expensive toilet papers gotten, I rather recycle old papers; it's amazing how much paper an office would throw away & I collect the old cardboard boxes to glue together for dioramas lately. I ran out of glue yesterday 😆
@DoodleDate 💗 I'd love to see what you come up with. The ideas really are endless 🤗 you can make planks out of cardboard & wrap them in paper to make a canvas or use multiple planks to make a shadow box & you got your self a possible light weight shelf or heavy weight depending on the thickness. These are what I've completed recently, working on a pagoda style & at the same time making a Steven Universe pink diamond art scene 😆
My piggies are messy too. I put a nice tidy pile of hay in the cage every day. Within hours, it's everywhere, covered in pee. Toilet paper reminds me that when I was in school, we'd wet wads of toilet paper with water and hand soap and chuck it at each other and the ceilings of our bathrooms 😅
Elmer’s glue is a water based white glue used for crafts and small furniture repair. When I was a kid they only had the Elmer’s liquid but when I was in middle school they came out with purple glue sticks which I find terrible, my art class in highschool only used rubber cement and that and super glue are typically what I use for my glue needs unless it’s a chair. Lol
I was dying when the piece fell off and Steph was like no and the evidence was there lol a really genuine laugh 😂 as if I was there lol for sure my fav part
The face of adams is definitely giving off lps vibes but the shape makes me think of zhu zhu pets! (Not sure if those were a thing where you guys are but they were pretty big in America in the early 2000s) overall both of your crafts turned out cute!! Especially considering they’re made out of toilet paper lol
the primary school paper maché viking helmet must be a universal uk experience! i spent an hour crying over the popping balloons and got sent home so i never got mine back 😭✨
10:46 When Adam asked you if you remember what to do now, I thought you said, "Do we pray now?" Haha 😂 You actually said, "Do I put in the tray now?" or "Do I put IT in the tray now?" Not sure which, because I'm American, and while I love y'all's accent, sometimes, I can't understand you guys! 😂 haha Y'all just drop full syllables sometimes. 😂
im just curious what you call a heatwave, we were over 30C today here and i melted TwT as soon as i saw the title i thought of 2020 btw im glad we can spare some toilet paper to craft with again these days :DDDD love you guys, hang in there!!❤❤
Huh! I feel like you guys were set up to fail since the process didn't involve any binding or sealing agent. Without any flour or glue in the paper paste, I wouldn't expect whatever you make to last very well, so no wonder even Steph's well-dried heart gave her trouble.
Yep we use Elmer's glue (PVC) or glue sticks. Never heard of a pritt stick lol. I did see that there are now scented glue sticks on the craft shelves. As if kids needed more of a excuse to eat the stuff. Lol
“surprise not included” is SUCH a funny thing to include on packaging holy cow
RIGHT??
Like, dont get your hopes up TOO much LOL
@@DoodleDate maybe they meant the surprize the girls face had ? haha
Omg "we love an off-roading woman" jad me giggle more than most methinks. I'm in a wheelchair and when my hubby misses the pavement we joke that I'm off-roading XD. I'm glad to see both representation and love haha.
HAHAH omg that truly is the perfect compliment, I love this so much!!

You're the best Bergie tysm! 😭
A tale as old as time:
*new art supply*
Adam: can it guinea pig though?
I guess the idea behind this set is to make your own surprise eggs or hearts like Kinder surprise and add a little figurine or trinket inside and then glue two shapes together to hide the surprise ( which is not included 😂 )
Oh! That makes sense! I think you cracked the code. 🔎
Elmer's has liquid PVA glue and glue sticks! there's other brands but I think Elmer's is the most popular brand over here in the US for school glue
Carlton is shaped like a friend, despite being a damp fellow xD
This was a fun time, hope you guys are holding up in this heat!!
@dinisor_ Too true XD
Damp and Dank are Carlton's favourite moods 🐹
@joshisflipnoteswe would not be alive if we where not damp inside 😂
I love the smell of gluesticks and the sound of colored pencils jumbling around!! We do use Elmer’s glue in America, the gluesticks go on dark purple and turn clear when they’re dry :]
OOO the pencil sounds are super nostalgic!
I love the smell of colored pencils, I smell mine all the time lol
I hope you guys have been doing better, you’ve really helped me through some stuff and deserve to be happy. 😊
This comment made us so happy omg 😭
Luckily the surprises are always included on the DoodleDate channel
I love this channel so much. Whenever i want to smile, laugh and chill I come here. You've inspired me to try to practice drawing more and to have fun with it and not judging myself so harshly. Be Well.

The recording of this vid reminds me so much of classic/early doodle date 😢 I feel so nostalgic

It’s always been a cow, their founding company made dairy products

Banger idea of making a short out of thia video. I completely missed this video until now.

17:47 Omigosh I was trying to think of what Carlton's face reminded me of... it was Littlest Pet Shop!!! 😂 I used to love those(especially the cat ones!)

Papier mache is a lot of fun. U can make it really durable if u use watered down wood glue or use tissue paper and it melts like butter on anything.
I'm all for Damp Carlton! A moist star **~~
Also I lost it at the surprise not included xD No surprises, just damp paper.
If you get surprised
*They come*
I think this might be the weirdest craft kit I’ve ever seen 😳
And most.. UNSURPRISING?
I love watching yalls videos! You're just so wholesome. It leaves me feeling happy!
I’ve made several mask out of toilet paper cardboard and glue! It’s one of my favorite things to work with just hate the mess it leave on my hands 😂
It gets so messy but it's honestly so fun, I can see why Adamo likes it so much HAHA
On the clean scale, gonna go for stylishly clean🤩🤩
Good choice! LOL
omg puppy in my pocket is such a throwback, my sister and i went mental for them in the corner shop
Hullo Guys! So much fun to watch you two create and enjoy this wacky kit! I think you did a great job and a wonderful video too!
"surprise not included" made me laugh so much 😂 Adam was so disappointed. I'm surprised that Steph didn't make this a "romantic craft Collab" with the heart mold.
14:36 "NEEUUUUUU!" lolol
Love the mystery of ✨surprise not included✨ 😂
Why would they print that??? LOL
Elmer's Glue is a popular brand of glue in the US. It comes in white liquid glue and sticks
The idea that Elmer’s isn’t the leading brand everywhere is fine but the fact that it isn’t even KNOWN is wild to me lmao
It is everywhere and the absolute default for schoolchildren. You get looked down upon for having anything that isn’t Crayola for coloring and Elmer’s for glue.
Surprise not included is the funniest thing I've seen all day 😂
The way I read the title and was like of course you did 😂😂😂 only doodle date could make toilet roll content
Well, we TRIED at least HAHA
Went to Scotland last month and was SO excited to see “puppies on a roll” and happily brought a few squares back to the US. 😅❤
Just imagine having a slightly larger press that enables you to make two unicorn halves that you then can glue together and paint/decorate 😍😱 Just as the plastic unicorn thing from crayola but better I think!!
Delivering some high quality entertainment while I'm recovering from the last wisdom tooth extraction, love the vibes as always! ❤
Ok I’ve come to the conclusion that TO ME Adamo’s lil boyo looks like LPS #1204 >:D
I loved this video, it felt so chaotically wholesome lol 😂💙
mr. dampy is so cute tho
I wonder if these would make good christmas tree ornaments, since they're so lightweight. just glue on a piece of ribbon, and voila!
I would love to see the magical bean girl that would use that magic bean. does she go on an adventure up a beanstalk?
Maybe gesso it first to seal the surface?
That could work!!
😅 given how expensive toilet papers gotten, I rather recycle old papers; it's amazing how much paper an office would throw away & I collect the old cardboard boxes to glue together for dioramas lately. I ran out of glue yesterday 😆
Recycling office waste is such a cute idea though! Now we wanna go rummaging in some boxes..

The commercial half way was a toilet paper commercial 😅
LOL Wow thats honestly perfect
Elmer's Glue is a company that does different kinds of Glue, but they make sticks and also wet bottled glue that are used in schools among other kinds
We do use Elmer's glue! They have a very smug bull as it's mascot (for some reason?)
Yes, Elmer's glue is just a very common PVA glue brand
You're back!! Yes!
I was dying when the piece fell off and Steph was like no and the evidence was there lol a really genuine laugh 😂 as if I was there lol for sure my fav part
I think Steph had a good idea with the holes to the bottom xD
I used to steal my fams toilet rolls to make tiny bowls and mummify my dolls lol (was slightly obsessed w pyramids and such at the time)
Paper mach generally needs a binding agent such as glue or flour.
awe, sweet little critter. 🥰 Your Guinea pigs are adorable. 🥰
I think that's a neat kit. 😃👍
I’ve never been this early :’) but I love you both so much I’ve been following for so long
We appreciate you SO MUCH for that as well
Elmer's Glue is a PBA glue and my glue sticks are purple, but dry clear so you know you covered every inch... but does not show when dry.
Purple ones sound so cool! They're always this whitish colour that you see in the video here 🤯
The face of adams is definitely giving off lps vibes but the shape makes me think of zhu zhu pets! (Not sure if those were a thing where you guys are but they were pretty big in America in the early 2000s) overall both of your crafts turned out cute!! zhu zhu pets IS SUCH a throwback!! i forgot they existed!
Very cute!
Thank you so much Elizabeth!! 😊
Always fun to be had!! 😂
Surprised about no surprises and surprises all at the same time!😂
the primary school paper maché viking helmet must be a universal uk experience! i spent an hour crying over the popping balloons and got sent home so i never got mine back 😭✨
I remember doing paper mache but it always contained glue to make, maybe thats an issue with this set
Unless they intended the glitter glue to help it bind buuuut, there isnt that much LOL
We did an assignment in my sculpture coda this past year where we made food items out of toilet paper
*class
Oooo making food would be super interesting too!
The hamster reminded me of Zhu Zhu Pets. I loved those things.
LPS collector here - he’s definitely giving russell from the 2010s animated show
This would be à great drinking game... take a shot every time they say Surprise. No surprise... you'll be wasted afterwards. 😂
10:46 When Adam asked you if you remember what to do now, I thought you said, "Do we pray now?" Haha 😂 You actually said, "Do I put in the tray now?" or "Do I put IT in the tray now?" front to back or back to front. how did you watch this video?
Yeah I don’t remember stuff like this in the US. We just had the Snuggie and slapchop
How did i miss a whole ass video from a year ago, smh me
yeah. Id take that as a complement.
I think the modern way to clean a bum would be Japanese Bidets. Other than that I love how the Guinea pig turned out, very cute.
I wonder if you dyed the water, you could make colored paper machete
Adamo! You did not do a terrible job! Yours looks great! It totally looks like a hamster! It's so cute!
im just curious what you call a heatwave, we were over 30C today here and i melted TwT as soon as i saw the title i thought of 2020 btw im glad we can spare some toilet paper to craft with again these days :DDDD love you guys, hang in there!!❤❤
Around there is usually considered a heatwave here too! Most houses are built to trap the heat in so most summers just get sweaty and gross! 💦
Huh! I feel like you guys were set up to fail since the process didn't involve any binding or sealing agent. Without any flour or glue in the paper paste, I wouldn't expect whatever you make to last very well, so no wonder even Steph's well-dried heart gave her trouble.
You guys XD toilet paper? What are you guys going to think of next???
Wasn't toilet roll but did the balloon trick with newspaper to make a mask back in primary school. It really was scary. 😢
i like ur comedy moments
✨✨✨
id prefer to be told im awesome and not sturdy and reliable. also i love the aesthetic of this channel.
Omg I did not realize Elmer's glue wasn't outside of the US!! It's such a household name here like kleenex or bandaids
I thought that was a plumbus in the thumbnail 💀
I thought with paper mache you had to use glue? I guess maybe that's only if you're trying to make the pinata type paper mache.
Yep we use Elmer's glue (PVC) or glue sticks. Never heard of a pritt stick lol. I did see that there are now scented glue sticks on the craft shelves. As if kids needed more of a excuse to eat the stuff. Lol
What's the Bratz thing in the BG???
One of Steph's Bratz collection~
❤
I clicked so fast the comment section didn't load!
Youre so early Melody omg!!
