The champions featured in the video:
    - Kayle (light wings) and Morgana (dark wings) are sisters and aspects of Justice. They are fighting Aatrox who is a darkin, and is technically trapped in the sword which you can see pulsating. This takes place long in the past before Kayle and Morgana had a falling out.
    - Yasuo is the wind samurai fighting off attackers in the village. This is a "possible future" and he is portrayed much older in the video than he is in game.
    - Tryndamere is the warrior fighting against Kindred, who is the embodiment of death. Kindred is Lamb (with the bow) and Wolf (the wolf.. lol). If someone accepts death, they get the peace of Lamb's arrow, if they do not, then they are hunted down by Wolf. Tryndamere has an ability in-game called "undying rage" and this is depicted here when his eyes begin to glow and he manages to fight off death. At the end, you see two arrows hit the men attacking him--in reality he was battling off the attackers seen in the very beginning, but while he was in his undying rage, he was seeing Kindred. Ashe is the one that saved him. She is his wife.
Still Here is in reference to Kindred, as death is a constant. Kindred can be found in all three scenes if you look closely. Lamb's silhouette in the flames at the end of the first scene, Wolf's shadow and Kindred's arrow in the end of the second scene as a rain of arrows comes down and Yasuo accepts his death, and then obviously in the fight scene in the end. The video description says "Past, present, and possible futures--we remember them all." I believe this to be a quote from Kindred.

Kindred showed Yasuo a vision of his death... I think that is what we got to see in the cinematic. In all the scenes, as they end, the song uses the "Still here" part... except for Yasuo's part where it fades out as Lambs arrow kills Yasuo.

that guy wit a sword at the end is Tryndamere... in game he has ability that (in short) makes him too angry to die ... and here its shown how he fights death while using it... Kindred is, or should i use "are", the death ... Lamb and Wolf ... they both are kindred. Lamb kills those who accepted their end ... and Wolf hunts those who try to escape death

If you see at the moment Yasou gets the last guy, he accepts death and hence the last arrow was Kindreds, and you can see Wolf watching from the shadows ominously. cut to Tryn who fights Wolf, and Kindred just uses her arrow when Tryn is about to die, only to be “deflected” by Tryn “Undying Rage”…she only wants him to accept death but Tryn got a wifey and family to protect, so no “death do us apart” for him.

And if u see the flames in the aatrox death, you can see the kindred shadow in the transition

Context: This cinematic is described as the "Past, Present, and Possible Futures" and if you noticed between each transition, there is very small image of Kindred as she comes to claim each soul's life, in the fire when Morgana burns Aatrox and her eyes in the faint woods as Yasuo accepts his death with the arrow being shot at him
The first two characters you see (the angels) are Morgana (Purple Wings), and Kayle (White Wings) the twin Aspects of Justice. They're also sisters wielding two halves of their mother's blade (their mother was the previous Aspect of Justice). That scene takes place in the past of what we know of the lore right now, during a siege on a kingdom called Demacia, which happened in ancient times.
To be an Aspect is kind of like being an avatar for a god. The person they're fighting is Aatrox, who, at one point, was also kind of an avatar for godly powers, but was corrupted by blood magic, and effectively "cursed" to never die. He now seeks the destruction of all existence in the hopes that he could finally rest. The last bit of the scene seems to be meant to show the differences in Kayle and Morgana's personalities. Morgana will sink to any low she needs to in order to do what is right, whereas Kayle sees herself above it all, looking at her position as an Aspect as far more important than it possibly is. Since this is the past, this is technically before Kayle and Morganna split and go separate ways on deciding how to deal Justice. But you can definitely tell Kayle is now mad at Morganna for using magic and two, throwing down there's mother sword.
The second scene is of the future, in a small village in a land called Ionia. The old samurai is a character by the name of Yasuo, a master of a powerful wind technique. He's had a life of disgrace, and hardship, failing to save his master who taught him the wind technique, being blamed for his death, and then having to kill his own brother who hunted him down. Clearly, when he grows old, he finds a place in the small village, and lives there in peace until it's attacked, prompting him to take up a sword in defense of the people. The scene is pretty self-explanatory, but it's a very strong moment for League of Legends fans for sure.
The final scene is my favorite. The whole video starts with the line "Tomorrow is a hope. Never a promise." This line is spoken by Lamb, one half of the character known as The Kindred. The Kindred serve as the Grim Reaper of the world of League of Legends. The story goes that Death was so lonely that it split itself in two, so it would "always have a friend". One half is the Lamb, and the other half is the Wolf. Lamb represents the peace in acceptance of death, wielding a bow to deliver a swift end, and Wolf represents the violence of rejecting and running from death, being literally a beast that mauls anything that tries to escape. You only see them when they've decided your time has come.
The character we zoom in on at the end is Tryndamere, a barbarian king of the Freljord (Frel-yord). At the very beginning, he seems to be in a battle for his life against surrounding forces. When we reach the end, his vision shifts to a darker scene, and the image of the Kindred come into his view. Wolf is on the offensive, because Tryndamere is trying to fight for his life. Lamb tries to deliver shots that will end him quickly, but it seems Lamb is surprised to see that Tryndamere has a power that lets him avoid death for a short time (which is what the red in his eyes means) (If I am correct based off lore, he is infused with blood magic which technically allows him to become immortal when on the brink of death). It catches them off guard and lets Tryndamere almost get a blow in. While Wolf attempts to maul him, Lamb tries to go for one final strike, when Ashe, the frost archer, and wife of Tryndamere, arrives and kills two of the men that were attacking him. The Kindred and their darkness fade away, indicating that Ashe's arrival has saved Tryndamere from the Kindred's hunt, and the death he was destined for. As more forces move in against them, Ashe fires a hawk shot into the air to signal their position and call for reinforcements.

So just to explain a little bit, this whole cinematic is about death, and it shows us this in the past, present and future.
Past = first part. Kayle and Morgana fighting Aatrox before their split.
Present = thrird part. Tryndamere fighting Kindred (lamb and wolf) and Ashe (his wife) saves him
Possible future = second part. Old man Yassuo protecting the village and the people within from harm.
The thing that connects all of these parts in a brilliant way is death, and in League death is kinda represented as Kindred. Kindred is compareable to the grim reaper. They are made up of the Lamb(archer) and the wolf, they are both together Kindred. You can actually see them in all 3 parts. In the first part you can see the outline of the Lamb in the fire as it transitions to part 2. In part 2 you can see the wolfs head in the treeline and the wolfs arrow going for Yassuo. And in part 3 you see them fighting Tryndamere.
The Tryndamere fight was awesome because of the in game abilities he has. His ultimate is basically and immortality for a couple of seconds (you can see his eyes turn red in the cinematic). So he is literally fighting death to stay alive when he uses his ult. Finally Kindred realises it is not his time to go yet when Ashe saves him by shooting the 2 guys behind him.
Im also pretty sure Tryndamere was actually fighting those guys but he sees it as fighting kindred.
Im sure more people can explain a bit better because I'm quite new to LoL lore myself and don't really know the ins and outs of the Yassuo story and especially the Kayle and Morgana story

The bit with Yasuo is a possible future. Kayle and Morgana are protecting the early parts of the Demacian Capital. Tryndamere actually wields some of Aatrox's power which is how he is able to live through death but, he literally gets too angry for him to die. Also Tryndamere x Ashe best couple in Runeterra fight me.

To fix a small error, It's not wolf's arrow it's the lamb's arrow. You are correct, Kindred is Lamb and Wolf. Kindred grants a swift and painless death to those who accept their fate while Wolf grants a painful and slow death to those that do not accept it.

The two angels are Kayle and Morgana. Kayle gave morgana the bombastic side eye because of lore reasons. They dont get along because morgana uses that purple dark magic stuff.
The old guy is actually a future version of a character players know as yasuo, one of the most popular characters. The second this released, a new skin was released for him called Forseen Yasuo, basically meaning this is a potential future (and death) of yasuo.
Guy with the sword is Tryndamere. Ingame, he can choose to just... not die as his ultimate ability. For like 7 seconds. His eyes being blood red is him using it. The strange duo of characters attacking him are one champion known as Kindred, who are essentially the grim reaper in this world. His 7 seconds of not dying are him "resisting death". Which is cool. The enemies hes fighting are displayed as the wolf or lamb, the wolf and lamb arent actually there. They are more a spirit or how death works, so he was seeing them as thats just how close to death he was. Lamb kills people peacefully when they accept death, with an arrow. Wolf kills those who fight and run from death, by viciously ripping them to shreds. He fought both because he is stuck between accepting death and running from it.
As for whos saved him, thats Ashe, who is Tryndameres wife.

    Straight up masterpiece ❤
Btw it was about the past with Kayle in Morgana fighting Aatrox in ancient Demacia, future with old Yasuo deciding to fight one last time before accepting death after seeing Kindred (arrow) coming for him and present with the last one Tryndamere who is corrupted by Aatrox blood magic and can't die, that's why he was able to fight Kindred (literally fighting death for his life) and in the end he was saved by his wife Ashe.

Mars (from Forts) write the lyrics and sang it with Tiffany. Mars sings the pre-chorus, Tiffany had the verses and they might duet the chorus? Mars also wrote Fire to the Fuse, that was sung by Jackson Wong at the LoL Worlds 2022

The lamb and wolf at the end of the cinematic represent death. They are like the grim reapers of the league of legends universe. So basically he is fighting off death.

  • @OttiTheStrange
    @OttiTheStrange 10 місяців тому

    Okay, so for explaination:
The first cahracter you see is Tryndamere (the buffed guy laying on the ground which the video turns back to later)
He seems to be defeated by unknown soldiers and then the scene switches to the 2 angels fighting the deamon - the angels are sisters, the purple one is Morgana and the white one is Kayle - they fight this big red demon guy who is called Aatrox (I don't know the lore well enough to explain any background of the fight though)
After Morgana shackled him and Kayle hit him with her fiery strike the scene switches again to those thugs fighting the old Samurai - this old swordsman is Yasuo, he is a master swordsman who can use the element of wind within his attacks. This scene shows an unknown future since in the game Yasuo is way younger.
After he defeatd the bad guys an arrow comes flying straight into the camera - could be that it hits him and this is from his point of view? - just a theory but if that is true he's dying there since the arrow came from Kindred, which is the white archer from the last sequence, that is fighting Tryndamere.
Kindred is the Death in League's universe, so whoever sees Kindred (Kindred is the white archer "lamb" and the black wolf together - it's a spiritlike creature) is about to die - so it's like the grim reaper we know in our folklore. So naturally Tryndamere is on the edge of death and literally fighting Death in this sequence. He has a skill called Undying Rage which makes him unkillable for a brief duration - that's the only reason he has actually a chance to fight back when Kindred comes to get him.
Right at the end those 2 arrows fly past them and hit those 2 soldiers whcih safes him - the arrows come from Ashe who is actually Tryndameres wife.
I think the fight between Kindred and Tryndamere is more like a fictional fight while those soldiers are about to kill him but Ashe can safe him in the last second, so Kindred doesn't need to fight him anymore because he won't die naturally here (it's like the grim reaper knocks on the door, wants to take you with him but it's not your time yet and he leaves without using his scythe to kill you)
There is a lot to interpret about especially the last sequence - hope that helped.
If any fellow league fan sees this and has other ideas or a better lore background than I do, get your ideas in the comments :)
    Cheers

so yes all the characters shown there are playable characters except those humans with mask that fight Yasuo but the future/old Yasuo he look different but as i said its future i explain why in a sec and this look he has in that cinematic is his skin that will be released so at the Beggining we see Tryndamere then Kayle the blonde one and Morgana that one with purple look then we see them fighting Aatrox. Who is a darkina and darkins in League lore are kind of fallen gods not exactly but in a way they were Ascended but then got corrupted by the Void which actually surpised me they didnt shown anythign in that cinematic because whole season has the Void vibe when it comes to the game. Then we see future Yasuo who defends soem female and dies from the Lambs arrow. then we see Trynda fighting Lamb and the Wolf who are called Kindred and they are incarnation of Death in League lore/world. Overall this cienamatic and even lyrics show that Death was Death is and will be. But ngl Tryndamere fighting kindred is wow because hsi ultimate ability is that he cant die in game for a few seconds and now it seems they changed lore a bit and they connected him to them Kindred and their ultimates skills in game are simmillar overal hes to angry to die it seems Cheers!

Yes, Riot have a cinematic for the start of each year/Season and is usually in this style of Animation.
I 100% recommend you watch Arcane season 1 before watching the teaser for season 2. I guess without context it won't be much of a spoiler, but still.
You don't need to know anything about League lore to watch Arcane, while 100% Canon its framed as a prequel and focuses on a handful of champions and 2 cities, so easy to follow the story.
